Matt Adent a young salesman at Napleton/LM in Blue Island contacted me the same day by phone that I had gone online looking for a used 2010 Lincoln MKX for my wife. I was out when the call came in so it went contacted me the same day by phone that I had gone online looking for a used 2010 Lincoln MKX for my wife. I was out when the call came in so it went went to my voice mail. Returning home that night I listened to this young man's message several times. He had left a totally professional and yet a kind & personal message. I had my wife listen to it as I was truly impressed with this young man I had never met. It was not the typical "pushy" sales call that you usually get a dozen or more of a week. You know just a fishing trip you receive from someone wanting to make a fast sale. No, this call was different, it was intertwined with a definite sense of wanting to meet our needs 1st & not just enhancing his pocketbook. So I called Matt Adent back the next day & ended up talking with Gene Kennedy-Napleton's/GM as Matt was out. Gene was straight up with me as I asked him several questions without 1st giving out a whole lot of personal information. So as we got to talking & I shared that I was impressed with Matt as he sounded like a nice professional young man on the phone. I shared with Gene it was basically Matt's professional call that got me to call him back. Gene noted that he had hired Matt & he was a nice young man & good for sales. Then we got down to business talking about the car I was looking for. I felt like I was talking with Gene like an old friend. I am a firm believer in the fact that people like to do business with people they know & trust. Gene Kennedy had achieved both of these with me in just this short phone conversation. Gene told me they had several 2010 Lincoln MKX models on site like I was looking for, less than 30,000 miles & in great shape. I was then sent over to talk to Mike Ruffolo/Fin Mgr. about the financial end of possibly purchasing the vehicle. Mike was & is truly a professional & a straight talking gentleman. He is the guy you want to be talking to when the facts need to be in black & white before signing any deal. Mike & I talked over the next few days several times & I was impressed with all of detail he went into as I asked question after question. I (We) were treated like old friends & family between Gene, Matt,& Mike. So we ended up coming in one night about 7:30pm to look at a 2010 MKX. We closed the deal then & there staying till past 9:30pm when they close at 8pm. We picked up the 2010 MKX sparkling clean & gleaming chrome wheels with that Black Tuxedo Metallic paint job & less than 30,000 miles on it a few days later. We drove that car for exactly 6 months including a 1300 mile trip each way to Park City Utah. It was a great road car & we truly enjoyed driving it. I talked with Matt Adent a few months later about looking for a car for my 84 yr old Mom & he mentioned they had another MKX just like ours, but really fully loaded. I saw the pic's he emailed me online I knew my wife would love that car. So I called Matt, Gene & Mike & once again we got out our sharp pencils to see what we could do. Well, the short of it is we went & traded in our MKX & upgraded to a 2010 MKX LTD with all the bells & whistles that ours didn't have. A few weeks later in July one evening about 6pm we were sitting parked in the old Rosemont, now All-State Arena parking lot. We were awaiting my wife's brothers flight coming into Chicago. So we had 3 hours to kill before his plane landed at O'Hare. We grabbed a bite to eat & then spent almost 2 hours with the MKX LTD rooftop open & the TX radio playing the oldies tunes. This as my wife snapped about a hundred pictures of planes taking off right over our heads. That was a great night, a great date with my wife of 32 + yrs in our beautiful car. I owe much of pleasant evening with my sweetie to Matt,Gene,& Mike. It was there willingness to work through a deal for both of us that made it possible. We usually buy a good car & then we keep it 8-12 yrs before buying another. I wouldn't have even ever considered trading in a car we had for 6 months & liked usually. But it was the great way & service we had been treated to as well as the family friendly atmosphere we received from Matt, Gene, & Mike. Do I recommend them to others...Gee what do you think? (O:") You betcha I do, as I want them to also be there in the coming days for us too. I need to note we had agreed as a couple not to buy a car from anyone who took the buy out with Tarp/Obama program. FORD did not take it, so we went with FORD. We also got a great finance rate through FORD that Mike had worked our for us as well. It was a good deal all around & we are smiling as we drive our MKX LTD with the rooftop window & many great gadgets including that great radio with all of our oldies channels on it. So let me ask you how can't I win on this deal. Thank you Paul at Napleton LM, Blue Island for hiring such great people like Matt Adent, Gene Kennedy, & Mike Ruffolo to represent your dealership. You keep guys like this around who know about service, professionalism, & taking that extra care with their customers & we will keep coming back & sending our friends & others there too. Thank You & God Bless David & Michaelene Spaulding More

The two gentlemen I dealt with at that time were wonderful and very helpful in getting me into a new lease on a great automobile. I had a completely different experience at the end of the lease. Both men I worked with at the lease inception are no longer with this branch, one having passed away. I called and spoke with Paul who was very crude in his remarks about both men, especially the man who had passed away. I was told at that point that if I wanted to buy my car, I had to go back to their dealership, but I could end the lease at any Ford dealer. After that phone experience, I decided I did not want to do business with a person who spoke about former co-workers, especially one that had passed away, in that manner. I took my business elsewhere and called to verify that I could turn in my Milan at any Ford dealership. Having told Paul that I had already moved on to another car, he then told me that I had to bring my Milan back to him personally at the Blue Island dealership. I told him that was not what he originally told me and he said he would have to get back to me and hung up. I never spoke with him again and turned in my vehicle at a Ford dealer near my house. It is a shame what can happen to businesses when personnel change or leave as the entire experience can be altered. I will never do business with this dealership again and will recommend to everyone to please stay away. More

We stopped by a couple of different places and really didn't find what we were looking for. So we decided that maybe we were going to give up when we pulled into Napleton Lincoln and met Scott. He listened to what my grandson had to say and found him the perfect car. We ended up buying a 2007 Ford Focus that not only was good on gas but met our budget. We couldn't have been more happy. Mike the business manager was very easy going and explained the extended warranty to us. The whole purchase took about an hour and a half which was perfect because he had to get to a graduation party. Hats off to Napleton Lincoln and all their employees. I will definitely recommend Napleton to all my friends. Thanks again Indiana John More

I stopped in there for a car for my son, not to buy but just checking to see what was available. I was greeted by Matt who I was at first hesitant about as he seemed too young. However, DO NOT NOT NOT ju just checking to see what was available. I was greeted by Matt who I was at first hesitant about as he seemed too young. However, DO NOT NOT NOT judge a book by it's cover!!! To begin, Matt knew EVERYTHING there was to know about the car (Fusion) we were looking at, not to mention the new lincoln they had in their showroom. He knew EVERYTHING about that car inside and out and he wasn't even anywhere near the car to see the answers. There was no hesitation in response and he wasn't B.S.ing, he was true with everything he said. Not to mention, he DIDN'T treat me as just a sale, it was more like talking to a friend than a salesman. And even after I told him that I was only there to " Look " and did not intend on purchasing he still stuck by our side showing us ALL of the things about the car. Like I said, I did not intend on buying that day, but Matt really made me feel like, if I didn't buy from him, I would be making a big mistake, so I called my wife and a half hour later we were signing the papers. I really recommend going to Napleton if you need a car. He still calls to check on us and see how the car is treating us. Definitely gave me a sense of comfort and unless they burn down, I WILL be back. More

Napleton Lincoln Mercury in Blue Island, IL is bad news! I purchased a 2007 Lincoln MKX with 19,000 miles on it from them in Dec. 2009. I live in Seattle, WA and found the vehicle on the internet advertized as “Special price for internet buyers only”. I made the deal after asking Scott Burdelik many, many questions about the condition of the vehicle and was told “it is in great condition, like new with low miles”. I had him send me the Carfax which shows that they bought it as a lease return at auction in Aug. 2009 with 18,000 miles. It shows that they did a complete maintenance inspection and offered the vehicle for sale. I had it shipped to Seattle and once it came off the truck I took it for a drive. The vehicle made a loud squealing noise from the rear end & when I applied the brakes the MKX shook like crazy. I took it to my local Lincoln Mercury Dealer and they found that the entire brake system on all four wheels were so badly rusted & corroded that all the rotors, brake linings, sliding plates, emergency brake shoe & lining and return springs had to be replaced. Cost of repair… $2,000! I called Napleton & talked to their general manger, Gene Kennedy. He gave me the runaround for a couple of days saying that “the rust could not be that bad”. Heck I saw the rig when it was up on the rack & I have never seen rust & corrosion this bad, especially on a 2 year old vehicle! I offered to send them pictures & 150 pounds of rusted parts. Gene said it didn’t matter. I have to assume that they knew full well that the vehicle had problems. In the end Gene offered me a paltry $400 to cover the cost of repair. I would like to know what Napleton would charge a local customer for the same repair job. Bet it’s a heck of a lot more than the $400 they offered me! Not only did I pay top dollar for the vehicle now I’m out another $1,600 to repair it! DO NOT TRUST NAPLETON! I would find another dealership to deal with. Service was friendly until after the sale. WATCH OUT, YOU COULD BE THE NEXT PERSON TO GET SCREWED! More
