Terrible Service Department October 25th, my truck broke down in Chattanooga, TN, with what I thought was transmission issues. I live three and a half hours away, so my best opti October 25th, my truck broke down in Chattanooga, TN, with what I thought was transmission issues. I live three and a half hours away, so my best option was to get it towed to the nearest repair shop, to avoid a $700+ towing fee. When it was dropped off, I informed Mountain View Ford that I thought it was a transmission issue. The people at Mt. View Ford then come back with a diagnosis. They say that the main wiring harness is pinched between the firewall and the IMRC, causing the engine to miss on several cylinders, and needs to be repaired and rerouted. They also added that my catalytic converters needed to be replaced. What that has to do with the transmission.. I don’t know. A week later, after giving Mt View Ford the benefit of the doubt, we are told the truck is ready and to come pick it up tomorrow (10/31/14). So we arrive after our 200+ mile drive, only to be notified that it was not ready, and that it was in fact, the transmission. So now that I’ve already dropped close to $2,200+ on other issues they thought needed repair, I now have another $2300+ to add to that for a replaced transmission. We were told it would be done Tuesday, November 4th, 2014, WORST CASE. I wait till Thursday(11/6/14) to call, and it is still not finished. I get a call that Friday, notifying me it is finally done. I told them that I had an interview, and would have to pick it up Saturday morning. I asked about service financing, and they offered me a 12 month, no interest plan. We show up to pick up the truck, prepared to apply for a 12 month financing plan, and low and behold, they can’t do that on a Saturday. At this point, it was not a surprise to me that picking up my truck would not go smoothly. An hour later, they figure out that they can, in fact do it on a Saturday. So $4800+ later, we are out the door. But wait. There’s more. I drive 200 miles home. Everything seems to be running fine, when I pull off the interstate only to hear loud ticking and knocking sounds that were not there before the “repair”. I also noticed that when I put it in reverse, all audio cuts out. The last thing I’m doing is taking it back to Mountain View Ford, so I take it to the local Ford Dealer (Jeff Smith Ford) for a diagnosis. The same day, they come back with an answer: a piece of the transmission is chipped, which is causing the audio to go out, and it is not covered under any kind of Ford warranty. So Mountain View Ford put a broken transmission in my truck, and I have to pay for it? In conclusion, after two weeks without my truck, three 200 mile trips to Chattanooga, a rental car fee, and $4800+, my truck is still not fixed, and back in the shop. Its hard to believe that out of all the places to take your vehicle to be repaired, the Ford Dealership itself, would be the worst. More

I have purchased quite a few vehicles over I recently purchase a jeep from Internet salesman Rodney Grimes with Mtn View Ford &Lincoln in Chattanooga. I have purchased quite a few vehicles over the years and this Purchase with Randy was the easiest and most enjoyable buying experience I have experienced. Rodney Grimes was professional, friendly and worked extremely hard to make me a satisfied customer. Spoke with Rodney on phone and then corresponded by email a couple of times to answer any questions I had. I also spoke with Shaun the Sales Manager who completed the paper work for Rodney who had to go out of town on business. I felt like I was appreciated as a customer and they truly wanted me to be happy. The paperwork process was very short and then on to Chad he is the Finance Manager. I was never felt pressure at any step of the buying process. From the time I agreed to purchase to getting the keys was less than less the 30 mins. Rodney, Chad and Shaun are Top Notch employees of Mtn View Ford and I have already told friends and family if they are interested in purchasing a vehicle to see Rodney. More

I even had driven to Dalton Ga. to look at a used Ford F150 truck. After long online looking at other dealer vehicles , Mtn. View had just the right vehicle at the best price for ME. Great help from Chris on the deal. I felt that Chris had my and the dealer best interest' in mind and he helped me with this truck purchase. Have bought many vehicles from this dealer. Mtn. View always gives the customer first attitude. More

View in the last few years and Mr. Pickett has handled both of my transactions. I appreciate Dave’s professionalism and his knowledge of the vehicles I was interested in. His willingness to provide me with all the information I asked for made buying a vehicle from Mtn. View an enjoyable experience. Liars and Rude and non-knowledgeable I went to look at a truck. It was advertised as a 2006 Dodge Ram Power Wagon on the internet for $15000. I was up front with the salesman (Doug Rector) that If I was to buy the truck it would be from Mtn View dodge. I was told it was a normal practice. I was told that it went to Ringgold by Mtn View Ford for a detail, wrong, it went there for engine work. I went to Ringgold to check it out to make sure it was actually a Power wagon. It was not a power wagon. The next day I get a voice mail from Doug telling me about this "2006 F250 dodge power wagon they have for sale and if I am still interested". Dodge does not make a F250 its a RAM 2500. After that and speaking with the salesman at Ringgold I went to test drive it anyways, so if I liked it I could tell my salesman from Ringgold that I wanted it. I am from Ringgold. Well after I drove it, I told Doug Rector that I did like it and I was going to let my salesman know in Ringgold. He got upset with me and said he would not do that and told me to wait one minute. Doug came back with his used car manager (Shaun Kesler), This guy was rude and ill manner. He told me that If I wanted to buy this truck I would have to buy it from him. He told that he would not sale it to Mtn view Dodge to sale to me. I expected a little better working environment since they were both owned by the same people. I did not say anything else to keep from making a scene in front of my daughter. I left and I called my salesman in Ringgold and told him about the incident, he was shocked to hear what I had to tell him. I told my Ringgold salesman that i was loyal to him and would not be buying from the ford dealer. The next day I got got a text msg from Ringgold saying that I was going to buying from Doug. I told him that i was not doing such and that I do not like someone ruining my name. I also told him that I would never buy from Mtn for again. I had bought a new F-150 w/5.4 in 2008 and after 2 years of owning it I started to have trouble out of the engine. I told Mtn ford about it and they said sorry your out of warranty. There were many fords with this engine problem and Ford was not doing anything about it. So still I am searching for a truck but I will never buy from Mtn View Ford and I am telling everyone that I know about my dealings with them. More
