To many issues to go back on. Purchasing the vehicle went as any normal negotiation. Had issues after the sale, some resolved others were left in limbo. Purchased vehicle and it did not come with a went as any normal negotiation. Had issues after the sale, some resolved others were left in limbo. Purchased vehicle and it did not come with a jack in which I proceeded to point out and was given one. Then after getting home, noticing the wheels have a wheel lock key needed to take off the tire. Which was not included. So I ended up contacting Toyota's key manufacture and getting a key so I can take off the tire if I have a flat. So I had to drive around for 2 weeks with the risk of a flat an no way to change it. After driving off the lot, noticed the car needed an alignment. Brought back in, they did align it. But had to spend 2 hours of my time for something that should have been addressed before being sold. And then to top it all off, I only have 1 key and found out that its going to be $100 to get another key made. Contacted the sales manager who denied my extra key request. Stating they did more then their fare share by providing me a jack and an extra fob. Seriously? Which by the standards of a certified used vehicle I would expect the dealership to provide me with the right equipment to change the tire, a set of key(s) to the vehicle and for the car to be inspected a little more to notice the alignment was off. My husband and I were excited to receive a coupon in the mail from this dealer for a free car wash. We stopped in to redeem it, and were barely acknowledged in the service garage. When we pulled up, there w mail from this dealer for a free car wash. We stopped in to redeem it, and were barely acknowledged in the service garage. When we pulled up, there were 4 service guys standing around, and I had to get out of the car to approach THEM for help? Then I was told to wait by my car, and 'someone from the svc dept' would be out to help us. After sitting in our car for about 10 mins, we noticed that the 'service guys in the garage were playing around on Facebook??? So my husband went inside to ask for some help and finally we were told the correct area to go for our car wash. When we pulled around, we told the car wash 'service guy' there what we had experienced in the other area of the garage, this is what he had to say: "Well, Im humbled by that." Uh, ok???? We were not even thanked for stopping there! We will NEVER recommend this dealership to someone else nor return there ourselves. Mountain States is a poor excuse for customer service. More
Salesman Jim Gallegos and sales manager Matt Marr did not follow through with verbal and written agreements regarding items included with vehicle. When asked to correct the problem Matt Marr said there was n follow through with verbal and written agreements regarding items included with vehicle. When asked to correct the problem Matt Marr said there was not enough profit margin for them to keep agreement. The agreement was for two keys and two key fob's to be included with vehicle upon delivery. Claim still pending with BBB. Sad it had to come to this. You would think they would have just gave us the keys to keep the Toyota name untainted... I would never recommend this dealer to anyone for sales or otherwise. More
I bought a used Highlander six months ago and I recommend Rick Forlenza to everyone I discuss cars with. I have worked in dealerships in another state and am familiar with the tactics of dealerships and a Rick Forlenza to everyone I discuss cars with. I have worked in dealerships in another state and am familiar with the tactics of dealerships and am therefore wary of them. I took my time and looked at several dealerships in Golden and Aurora, Co. I also looked at Craigslist and newspaper ads. I I became familiar with people stepping up to 'work a deal'. Yes, its about making a deal, but I hate feeling like an object being pumped for money. That's one thing about Rick, I never felt like a non-person. I did not buy the vehicle the first time Rick showed it to me and when I left that day he did not make me feel like I had wasted his time like I felt with some sales people at other dealerships. The vehicle had all the service records, a clean interior, low mileage and a beautiful paint job. I went back the next week to show my friends the vehicle and ended up buying it through Rick. He helped me through a smooth purchase without feeling screwed over and I got a price that I still feel comfortable with six months later. The cool thing about Rick is that he is a real person. You can see it in his eyes, he likes people. It doesn't matter if you buy a vehicle or not. Three months ago I got to be with a friend of mine who flew 1900 miles just to buy a vehicle from Rick. That was a great experience too. While we were meeting with Rick, another couple came to see him. They hung out for a couple of hours waiting for him. I talked with the wife and she said he was worth waiting for. They refused working with anyone else unless he was involved in the transaction. One more thing, Rick hooked me up with an insurance broker that brought my insurance down $70.00 a month with better coverage. I know this is a kudo for the dealership, but believe me its Rick that makes the dealership. Thanks Rick! Dianab. More
Mountain States Toyota service department is run by crooks. When I called them to make an appointment for alignment service, I asked for a price quote. The service manager Eric quoted me $59 based crooks. When I called them to make an appointment for alignment service, I asked for a price quote. The service manager Eric quoted me $59 based on the model/year of my car. But when I brought in the car for service, the service manager Victor told me the price was $79. I told him the quote I was told, Victor was willing to honor the price I was quoted. But after my car was pulled into the service bay, a higher ranked service manager Mike came to me and said that if I chose to do the $59 job, it would be "total waste of my money and time." If I wanted to get the job done right, I had to pay at least $69. they even predicted that I might need to pay hundreds of dollars extra if any parts needed to be replaced. So I told him again about my conversation with Eric, Mike said that Eric was not here and he saw no proof of it (i.e., I was lying). At that point, I realized that this shop was run by people that lack basic honesty. If I allowed them to service my car, they could come up any reason they wanted for unnecessary repairs. I would not be technically savvy enough to sort out truth, half truth, and total lies. So I decided to stop the work and leave. Yes, I wasted my afternoon. But at least I cut my losses. More
After getting my truck serviced here three times, I've finally learned my lesson and will never come back again. I let it slide the first two times b/c I had the time to spare, I dropped the truck off whe finally learned my lesson and will never come back again. I let it slide the first two times b/c I had the time to spare, I dropped the truck off when they opened in the morning and they said it would be done by mid day. The call to pick it up didn't happen until 1 hour before they closed. With those past two experiences I had them quote work to replace a window motor and other minor work. Their quotes came in just below $1000 for everything I asked so I declined and just got a my oil change. (FYI - I had the window motor fixed for $200 by another mechanic) On this visit, I had no choice but to stay and wait for them to service my truck. When scheduling I stressed that I didn't have much time and they promised it would only take 45 minutes. As of right now I'm in their lobby and it has been 1 hour and 45 minutes and I can still see my truck up on the lift in the back. More
Mountain States Toyota did a wonderful job during the buying process. The sales department gave a wonderful impression and we bought our vehicle. Since then, we have had awful experiences with the repa buying process. The sales department gave a wonderful impression and we bought our vehicle. Since then, we have had awful experiences with the repair service department-Each and Every time! They give the impression and treat you as though -now that you have bought the vehicle, they don't need you, you just need them! When you communicate your dissatisfaction, they give an empty sounding "I'm sorry" and want you to leave. Awful customer! More
We agreed on a price over the phone, and then went to the dealership to sign the paperwork, they said they could not sell the car for that price. I had a Highlander that I just loved and Mountain States Toyota Service Dept. helped me keep the vehicle in top shape for many years. I finally met with fate and totaled my most prized possession this month Toyota Service Dept. helped me keep the vehicle in top shape for many years. I finally met with fate and totaled my most prized possession this month March 2008. I called Bobbie because I explicitly trust her and she has always been there for me when my Highlander had problems, no matter what. She is the best service rep. (in my opinion) at Mountain States Toyota. She went way over and above her call of duty when I had my dilemma on St. Patrick's Day this year. She assisted me with finding a vehicle she knew I would like and she also paired me with the appropriate salesman (Lance) in the sales dept. Now, you tell me, how many service reps. do you encounter in your life time that truly care that much? 1 in my 53 years of life. She gets to know her customers and meets their needs within the entire dealership. I hope she will always be there as a service rep. Lance was a very understanding and helpful sales rep. I don’t know him very well but, he made me comfortable and I will definitely recommend him to others that enquire for a new car. I am a home health nurse and I run into hundreds and thousands of new people each month. Mountain States Toyota (MST) engages in unfair advertising and sales tactics. I purchased a 2005 Camry from them, based on a ad in the Rocky Mountain News. the Ad stated 2005 Camry $13,995 with advertising and sales tactics. I purchased a 2005 Camry from them, based on a ad in the Rocky Mountain News. the Ad stated 2005 Camry $13,995 with $1,000 down. I went in and agreed to purchase the car writing a check for the full amount, more than meeting the $1,000 down. They accepted my check and proceeded to sell me the car. 1 week later, after my check had cleared, they called me, explaining that they made a mistake; in reality I owed them $1,000 more. They claim that the price was 413,995 plus $1,000 down for a real price of $14,995. When I wrote to them telling them that I did not agree with this, they un-leashed their attack dog lawyer who sued me for the extra $1,000.

Beware and do not purchase from Mountain States Toyota, they are not honest business people, in my opinion.
More
