STEER CLEAR OF MOSS BROS RIVERSIDE DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO MOSS BROS. CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP IN RIVERSIDE. There should be a sign in front that says "Welco DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO MOSS BROS. CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP IN RIVERSIDE. There should be a sign in front that says "Welcome to xxxx and Prepare for Battle." I purchased my car here and was unlucky enough to get free oil changes for the life of the car (at this dealership only). The reason I say "unlucky" is because I most likely would have gone to a different dealership much earlier had I not been getting my oil changed at Moss Bros. At 25,000 miles the transmission began shifting eratically .. hard xxxxs, late shifts clunking into the next gear... I took my Jeep in to Moss Bros 5 times for this same problem. FIVE TIMES! Each time I would get one of these two answers... #1. It was a software problem.. all fixed. or 2. Our tech can't duplicate the problem ... sorry. In fact.. it was never fixed and I kept bringing it back in hoping they would figure it out. So.. I should have taken my car to another dealer then.. but you see the free oil changes kept me there.. and it was close to my office. To say the least I was frustrated. The final straw came in February 2018. With less than 200 miles left on my 100,000 mile powertrain warranty I began to hear lifter noise. I took it into Moss Bros Jeep and Austin in the service department told me that his tech said it was NORMAL.... yes... normal lifter noise. That was it. I called HB Chrysler Jeep 45 miles away and set up an appointment. Remember I had never been to this dealership before. EUREKA! I was informed that I did indeed need to have the lifter, rocker arms and left intake camshaft replaced. Moss Bros Jeep - "Oh THIS IS NORMAL." The icing on the cake was when HB Jeep checked the transmission and found the problem. They removed the valve body and replaced with an internal wiring harness. FOR THREE YEARS I TOOK MY CAR INTO MOSS BROS AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I'm told that dealerships allegedly get less money for warranty work then they do when it comes out of your pocket. I was told by HB Jeep (See my review on them) that had my warranty expired it could have cost me 3000.00 - 4000.00 to have everything fixed that was covered under the warranty. Needless to say I was elated they found the issues as well as angry and frustrated thinking about all the time I spent arguing with Moss Bros in Riverside about my issues. Since I purchased my car in 2014 there have been 3 service managers and two general managers at Moss Bros. Jeep. The pattern speaks volumes about their lack of commitment to the custormer. There have been other issues which I had to fight for (and won). Yes, I had to fight... It is always a battle there to get issues fixed properly. The rain sensor for my automatic wipers was not working properly because they did not install the clip that held the sensor gel flush to the windshield... I was told by the service rep (Austin) that his tech told him.."The sensor is not designed to work in light rain. It only works in heavy rain." I had videos, documentation while I was driving. Yet.. I was told.. THAT IS NORMAL. 3 services managers, 2 general managers.. all in three years. What does that tell you? Moss Bros Jeep technicians have the same tools as HB Jeep to diagnose problems. Yet 5 times they failed. I'm not sure if it is lack of training, or a mindset disseminated by management regarding warranty work. In any case I will never bring my car there again... (I just paid them 1000.00 for a brake job and 100,000 mile maintenance the same day as the lifter scenario... so I have spent money there.) I suggest you steer clear of Moss Bros. Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge in Riverside. More

Better JT was very helpful and attentive. I was only in for an oil change and that experience went fine, but I do have to come back for some diagnostic work JT was very helpful and attentive.
