I lost two (2) cars in Superstorm Sandy. I drove 2 hours each way and was intending to buy 2 cars that day. I went upstate becuase I was afraid that if I bought an car on Long island I would be buying a dam each way and was intending to buy 2 cars that day. I went upstate becuase I was afraid that if I bought an car on Long island I would be buying a damnaged, flooded car and I explained that to the dealer. Upon arrival, they were very nice. But as the process progressed, it appeared they thought that I was a desperate buyer willing to an unfair price for a car, or 2 cars) I needed immediately. I came educated and prepared with NADA and KBB appraisals for the car. Then they produced an appraissal and MSRP from a company they pay. That in itslef is shady. If they pay a company to suggest pprices, it would be in that companies interest to make the price higher for teh dealer. Their appraisals are much higher than KBB. In addition, they had a totally different KBB MSRP. I found out that KBB has one "book" for consumers and another for "dealers". They were not willing to negotiate in good faith. I had a NADA and Kelly Blue Book appraisals for a car for averaging $12,500. They had a asking price of $14,982. I took their appraisal and may appraisal and split the difference and made a fair offer of 13,500 based on my and their appraisal. They were only willing lower the price by $400!! Furthermore, they stated the car was "pre-certified and reconditioned" yet the car radio was not a stock radio but rather an after market installation and it did not function at all, just static. I asked how the car passed a precertification process with something as basic as a broken radio and the salesman could explain. If somethig as simple as a broken radio passed inspection during precertifcation, what else slipped by them? The floor manager stated that , "Precertification requires that the car have no after market changes in the car." Thus, this car was not properly precertified. In addition, ther were loose wires under the front passenegr seat that the salesman could not explain. I also asked teh salesman about dealer financing. I asked him, "What are your interest rates and how do you determine what interest rate I get"? His answer was, "I have no idea about percentage rates offered." I said, "Is it around 5%-6%"? he responded in the exact words, "I wouldn't know what the rates are; you could say 10% and I'd say that sounds right. I just have no idea." He was a nice guy but couldn't answer some very basic questions. In addition, I asked the slaesman how many owners teh car had, he stated there was only 1 owner. Then I asked for a carfax. The carfax there were in fact two (2) owners and that the previous owner (owner #2) turned the car into Morehead after only owning the car for 9 months! I asked if he could explain why they only had it for 9 months, and again he could'nt explain. I negotiated in good faith with fair appraisals and educated information. Morehead would not budge nor could they provide very basic answers to very basic questions. I drove 2 hours to get to this dealer after both my cars were lost in Hurricane Sandy. I was intending to purchase two (2) cars, and I told them I may do that right then and there, when I met them. I have the feeling the dealer thought I was desperate for cars, that I had drove 2 hours each way, and that I was a going to leave with a car and settle for an unfair price. I may be desperate, but I am not stupid. More
I went in not expecting to drive off with anything either new or used, but wanted to see if there was anything I could get. I ended up driving off in a new car. Dayna then set me up with a sales consultant, Krystine Ricker. Both Dayna and Krystine were friendly, diligent but they were not pushy. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a Honda in the area. Morehead was able to get me into the vehicle that I really wanted and I'm certain they will be successful in helping future clients. More
The reason we returned to Morehead Honda to purchase a used Honda was due to our previous experience with this dealership and especially the salesman Tommy Loving. We found Mr Loving to be honest, sincere used Honda was due to our previous experience with this dealership and especially the salesman Tommy Loving. We found Mr Loving to be honest, sincere and extremely knowledgable about Honda's. As far as Morehead Honda, the dealership, although large, treats their customers as if they were dealing with a small home town business. Very Impressive!! Our only gripe is price, but Morehead does offer better vehicles for the money than it's competition. We just feel the price of all used cars these days is extremely high. More

I had owned many Honda's over the years, though I haven't bought one from Morehead Honda. So when I called up to ask about the left overs of 2012, I was very happy to talk and deal with Eileen. I knew she bought one from Morehead Honda. So when I called up to ask about the left overs of 2012, I was very happy to talk and deal with Eileen. I knew she was just starting out, and needed a chance to show her passion for her job. I knew what I wanted, however I came in and took a test drive, and although they didn't have the car that I wanted, they found a car in another dealership. It was very nice, to see Eileen try her earnest, to make me a happy customer. She did. I was in my new car within a few days. When the car came in, she went completely over the whole car. I wanted to add a few things to the car, and she went out of her way to see that it was going to be taken care of. I went to the service counter, and they were very happy to help me. The dealership is in a very easy area to get too. I have no problems on parking my car, to walk around. they have a waiting area, so I can read, or do my computer work. Coffee is good, and I'm very pleased with the set-up of the design of the dealership. I hope they continue to do as good as they are now. Eileen, should be a top salesperson within a short period of time. Keep up the good work! Charlie More
