Worst Dealer Ever I came in for service work because my mini was making noise. The dealer said it was my brake that's making that noise and they quoted me a crazy price I came in for service work because my mini was making noise. The dealer said it was my brake that's making that noise and they quoted me a crazy price to have them replaced. Then I took it to my mechanic for a second opinion and I was told it was actually the faulty caliper that was causing the problem, mainly extremely uneven wear on the brake. I took the car back to the dealer and told them the problem since the caliper was covered under the warranty. My service advisor said that wasn't possible and he has never seen a faulty caliper in many years he is with Mini. He did agree to have the service check it out again. And viola! The caliper was faulty. Since I had the brake replaced by my mechanic already, the advisor said he will refund me the money and would take about a week. A month came by, nothing. After many attempts to reach the service person again, he said they lost the copy of my receipt and he asked me to email it. I did just that and he confirmed receipt of it. Emails were sent over the next month and no reply from the advisor or the dealer. Finally I called again, and the advisor said they can't read the copy of the receipt and wanted me to deliver the original receipt. Obviously it was an excuse. It doesn't take someone months to realize they can't read the receipt. This is ridiculous and I hope people would stop going there since there is a serious problem with how they do business. More
Came in with my boyfriend because I wanted to test drive and get a Countryman. Took what seemed like forever for the group of salesman talking at the entrance to come greet us while we walked around and lo and get a Countryman. Took what seemed like forever for the group of salesman talking at the entrance to come greet us while we walked around and looked at the Countrymans. When we got someone, he was pretty friendly. The worst part was that they required me to have a co-signer. They didn't run my credit or ask for any of my information... it seemed like they assumed I was young (which I am not) and that I didn't have credit (which I do) and required me to have a co-signer. I was able to go to South Bay Mini and drive away with a new Countryman WITHOUT a co-signer. It would have made more sense if they had ran all my information and came to the conclusion that I needed one. Strange. More
