Very Accommodating, Fair, Cooperative, Clean and Open about the complete transaction. Did Everything they could to make us feel very comfortable about process. Car shopping is one of my least favorite things to do, especially because I can be impatient and I cannot stand the "hard sell." I had called MINI of Chicago in advance, and spoke to James on the phone. especially because I can be impatient and I cannot stand the "hard sell." I had called MINI of Chicago in advance, and spoke to James on the phone. He was very helpful, and answered all of the questions I had at that time. I went in later that afternoon (Saturday), and had the BEST experience with him. James was again, helpful, and knowledgeable. He explained options without being forceful / overselling. He listened to what I was looking for and paid attention to details. When it was time for a test drive, he let me (and the friend with me) take the cars on our own. That was HUGE for me. It allowed me to focus on the car and the drive, without having to listen to a complete stranger next to me. They did not have the exact car I wanted on the lot (and did not have time to get it over because I had come in near the end of the day). I also wanted time to think over the purchase. James did not try to force me into something that they had there that day. He found the combo I was looking for (MINI Hardtop S, all black) and said he would have it brought over first thing on Monday morning (dealerships are closed on Sundays). After I left on Saturday, I explained to a friend, how great the experience was up to that point and said it actually made me want to buy a car from James. He called on Monday morning to let me know the car was at the dealership, and I went over that afternoon. I test drove "my car" and I made the decision right away. I opted for the Owner's Choice lease. There were a few other buyers "ahead" of us, but James tried to get out as quickly as possible (and even gave us some lunch from the staff's Labor Day BBQ while we were waiting). James made the car buying experience better from start to finish. I never felt pressured; I was given all of the options without the hard (annoying) sell. He answered all of my questions and was very patient (and did not seem bothered) when I asked them multiple times. In short, I had a great experience with James. I would go back to him for another car purchase / lease, and would send family and friends to him as well. More
We had been searching for the car that we wanted for a few days. At the end of an exhausting weekend of wrangling with dealers in 3 states I happened to notice an ad from Mini of Chicago for the car I wan few days. Scott (sales) was helpful, accommodating and never tried to slip one over on me. Everything he told me about the car turned out to be true in my own independent research. He stayed well after they had closed (closed at 6--stayed til 9) to make sure the deal was structured properly and nothing had been missed. I actually drove off the lot with $3k+ in equity--a very good deal on a used car! The car is gorgeous. Immaculate inside and out. Couldn't be happier. I took the car home last night and first thing this morning I noticed that the housing for the LED lights that are in one of the side mirrors (blinkers) was broken. I called the manager Sharon and she told me she would get fix it right away no problem. She's ordering the part from Mercedes and will have her staff install it. Overall, I had the most relaxed buying experience I have ever had with a car. They also offered me free car washes any Sunday while I own the car. Pretty cool... More

I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from them, and the experience was extremely positive from end to end. Professional staff, Jennifer and Kyle were excellent - even a visit from the GM, Steve to make su experience was extremely positive from end to end. I got a good value for my trade-in, got help in getting my title (as I lost it previously), got help with financing options in minutes, and got a good feel for the car before I left the lot. From the first call with MINI of Chicago, I felt like I was being taken care of. I've bought many cars in my lifetime and none of the experiences could come close to this. The salesman I worked with was friendly and honest. We went back and forth on price for two days. After coming to an agreement I went in and sat down only to find out I couldn't use my preferred method of went back and forth on price for two days. I was going to lose points and wanted them to bridge the dollar amount I would be losing out on. This is when things went south. The salesman had his manager Kyle come over. I have never been treated so horribly when buying something. Especially a car. He smugly told me I wasn't losing anything because I never really had it in regards to my points. I explained they were going to be worth $450. He talked to me like I was an idiot. I will never step foot inside of that dealership ever again. More
Really bad attitude from the sales manager Kyle. Offer on my trade was $8,000 got $15,000 (YES !!) at another dealer.
