Talked to Alex a salesman and made these long trip out there. I first noticed how nice and clean the dealership was. Then how friendly everyone was that we talked to. It was a pleasant very easy car buying experience all the way through from beginning to the end. Alex listened closely to all of our question and concerns even having us test drive the vehicle with one of their tops mechanics to easy our concerns. They went above and beyond for us. I would definitely make the long drive and buy a car from them again. More

The Service department was super helpful and answered all my questions. Was I was walking out I spotted a brand new 2016 Mini that I just had to have. I started talking with Jason and he answered all my questions. I picked up my old Mini that night from service and returned the next day to purchase my new one. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. I was in and out in no time! These guys are pros and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great car and experience! More

A great experience I could probably (and fairly!) be described as "a demanding client". I'm sure other phrases might also spring to mind, if you've had the misfortune of I could probably (and fairly!) be described as "a demanding client". I'm sure other phrases might also spring to mind, if you've had the misfortune of dealing with me in the past ... When I first started talking to Mini of Chicago, I had a very clear view of what I wanted. This information obviously guided their approach to finding me the right car. However, I then promptly decided I wanted something else: without missing a beat, Mini of Chicago found me an excellent deal that was as close to ideal as anyone could rationally expect. In fact, this deal was so appealing it made me suspicious. However, as I couldn't find any real downside to the offer I bought the car. My purchase was made about two weeks ago, and to be perfectly honest I'm still half-expecting an unpleasant "gotcha" to spring up as a genuinely good deal should usually require more effort! Sometimes you're just in the right place at the right time - and dealing with the right people. That's what happened to me, and I ended up with exactly what I wanted for a great price. Highly recommended. More
Poor customer care Bought a new/used car from them this past October. Had been looking for a Coupe. They had three on hand, all 2012"s. The one I settled on was a JCW version that had 200 miles. The dealership had purchased the car upon arrival ( so the salesrep told me) and had pimped it out. Carbon fiber parts everywhere, expensive 18 inch wheels, Pirrelli hi-performance summer tires, and other amenities. Because the car had been purchased by the dealership it's warranty was almost up (I was told it would end in MAY of 2015). I live in Kalamazoo so I had the car shipped to me from Chicago. I was told they would go through the car and have it all cleaned and serviced when I received it. Upon arrival I noticed it was externally as dirty as when I'd seen it on the lot even under the hood. I had knee surgery in October so the car was stored the whole month of November. On December 12 I called MINI of Grand Rapids and gave them my car identification number. They told me my warranty had run out on October 31. I took it to that dealership that day to acquire a maintenance upgrade and have the car checked out. They took my key and interrogated the information on the key. The car had never been serviced. No oil change, no brake fluid flush, no new windshield wipers, nothing. So basically they sold me a car with two hundred miles on the odometer and zero warranty when I left the dealership. Shame on them. Very much like the car but will not be returning to that dealership anytime soon or ever. More

I purchased my second MINI from them in December 2013, if I had bought my first MINI from them I never would have gotten another MINI. The car is a certified new lemon, it has been in the shop 5 times in the last year, 2 more than my 2002 was in in the 11 years I owned it. It took them 3 weeks to get an appointment even though my car had no heat and a flashing engine light in Chicago in December. I would strongly recommend taking yourself to Bill Jacob's, where the service was impeccable. More
