Service Department Last time I picked up my vehicle in from service, the service manager (Jim) mentioned there was a small oil leak. That day I did not have time to have Last time I picked up my vehicle in from service, the service manager (Jim) mentioned there was a small oil leak. That day I did not have time to have it checked in detail plus he mentioned it was very small and not critical, it could wait until my next oil change. So when I scheduled my next oil change, I expected a large bill to cover the replacement of the gasket to fix the oil leak. When I picked up my vehicle, I was VERY happy to hear that upon detailed inspection the bolts simply needed to be properly torqued. They made sure everything was OK and I left with more money in my pocket than I expected. An unscrupulous service department would have just torqued the bolts down and charged me for the whole gasket replacement; I would not have been able to tell. It feels good to know when you are dealing with a honest service department that looks out for you and does not try to take as much money from you as they can. If they say a specific service is needed, then you can be sure it is needed. Thank you Jim and Dave (Service Dept.) and Tom Addis. More
Important to buy locally! We have been treated like royalty by Lake City Ford and their staff, especially General Sales Manager, Tory Cerrito. They have gone out of their way We have been treated like royalty by Lake City Ford and their staff, especially General Sales Manager, Tory Cerrito. They have gone out of their way to take care of us, during the sale, servicing the vehicle and most important when we had an accident. They gave us a vehicle to use, a beautiful 2013 Ford Taurus, while our vehicle was being repaired - it took two months to get the parts. It is so important to do business locally with a dealer who is trustworthy and is there after the sale to take care of you. Thank you again for all you have done for us. The Kisligs More

Service only rivaled by your internet service provider I typed out a seriously, in depth description of my experiences, yes multiple, as in more than one with Lake City (Tom Addis) Ford. After doing so, I typed out a seriously, in depth description of my experiences, yes multiple, as in more than one with Lake City (Tom Addis) Ford. After doing so, I found it to be so long that no one (myself included) would read it. So here is the short(er) version. The bottom line is, save your sanity and your money and don't even engage with them. Experience 1 - Sales: We need a brand new vehicle. We call Lake City, they're our only local Ford dealer, and discuss the exact vehicle and confirm they're asking price. Everything is legit so far and we decide to go in and make the transaction happen. Everything falls apart, vehicle availability is an issue, price is now a serious issue and trade-in value... let's not even go there. They held us hostage, dragged their feet and just straight up tried to take advantage (read, lied) of a well informed, potential customer. Ultimately, we demanded our belongings back and left having wasted half of our day and our entire day's emotional capacity. Experience 2 - Parts: We did buy a brand new Ford, from an out of state dealer. I needed a part for it and hoping to offer our money to a local business and praying it was only the Sales department strife with issues, I called Parts. Holy cow. There are companies that go the extra mile to make their customers well served, Nordstroms, Amazon and others. Then there is the opposite side of that spectrum. Where companies like Comcast, Time Warner and Lake City Ford sit. I will give the Parts department slightly more credit than Sales because they did try to above and beyond, one time. Yet, even when they did that, it was half-cocked and the basic listening skills necessary to have earned our business and Parts loyalty was squandered and the 'inconvenience' of doing so. Best of luck on your adventures and go somewhere else. More
I needed repairs done on my 2011 ford van. I bought a brand new van in 2012. I spent $44,000.00 on it. they called me all the time I was buying it and even after. Then when My brak issues start I bought a brand new van in 2012. I spent $44,000.00 on it. they called me all the time I was buying it and even after. Then when My brak issues started comming up, THEY STOPPED! I keep calling but my calls never get returned. Cant seem to figure out why the van keeps warping rotors. only has 28,000 miles on it and have had the rotors doe 3 times now. NOBODY can tell me why! You would think they would come along side me to figure this problem out. Its funny I cant even get a call back. Why should I have to keep forking out $$$ when this problem started at 13,000 miles. Stand behind what you sell Lake city ford. Try working with the people who TrustED in you. I dont recomend them to anyone out there. However if someone does call me back and this problem does get taken care of I MIGHT CHANGE MY OPINION> But i doubt i will even hear from them again. Thanks, Steve H. More
My wife took out '05 Chev Trailblazer 4x4 in for a trade on an used '12 Expedition EL. They came to a deal and then the salesman said the car was stuck in 4 low when they appraised it for value and t trade on an used '12 Expedition EL. They came to a deal and then the salesman said the car was stuck in 4 low when they appraised it for value and they could not do the deal. My wife had to call me to come and get her because they broke our car and did not lift a finger to help her. No one looked at the car or tried to help her or say or do anything. Bottom line is we have a pre-approved loan and a trade in, we wanted to buy a car form them, the trade-in was a perfectly functioning car and we left the lot with a broken car and not ever wanting to go back. Its not about the broken car or not making the deal as much as how they acted with us through the whole ordeal. Tom Addis came out to deal with the issue and was condescending and unconcerned. More
This stealership is so bad, that I drive 60 additional miles to even have routine maintenance done on my truck at another ford dealership. The service provided by these people is absolutely horrendous, a miles to even have routine maintenance done on my truck at another ford dealership. The service provided by these people is absolutely horrendous, and their sales team is lacking in any integrity whatsoever. I once had their sales manager tell me my truck was "worthless". Shortly thereafter, I traded it in for $33,000 towards a new truck in Sandpoint. I even suspect this dealership lifted items off of that "worthless" truck while parked in my driveway after I brought it to them to look at. I tell everyone I know to avoid these idiots, and now I'm telling all of you the same. You were warned. More
Dear Tom Addis, I would like to complain about your Dear Tom Addis, I would like to complain about your service department. I had a recall letter that I needed to take care of so I phoned and got an ap Dear Tom Addis, I would like to complain about your service department. I had a recall letter that I needed to take care of so I phoned and got an appointment for the next week. Being told that it would only take an hour so I decided to wait. After two and a half hours of waiting, I decided to ask about my truck. She acknowledged Paul would be out in a minute. When he came out to talk to me about the truck, he told me that “after” the mechanic had taken it apart he found that he did not have the parts to replace it after all. So that I could make it clear in my mind, I then asked Paul, “You knew I was coming in for over a week and you did not ensure that you had my part? Therefore, I got the “honor” of wasting my time in your waiting room.” He told me he was sorry but he did order the parts and they would be in next week. He would call me. After getting home, I decided to see just what your shop had done to my truck and was shocked to see NOTHING was changed so he had lied. I took pictures of the straps that were under the truck and the rust was still in place. Therefore, on top of my time being wasted, I was also lied to right to my face. When Paul called to say the new parts were in, I told him I knew he had lied to me and I did not appreciate it. He then said there must have been a “miscommunication” between the mechanic and himself. He did again assured me it would only take an hour but rather than sit in your waiting room again, he said he would get me right home. Again, that was a lie. I got to the shop at 2:15 pm and had to wait on a shuttle to take me home. Instead of taking me right home, I got the grand tour of Coeur d Alene while the driver picked up other people. I live one block north of Ziggys. Paul also assured me that my truck would be washed and it would look great. I picked up my truck after hours due to having no ride back to the shop, my truck was NOT washed, so once again, I had been lied to. They did leave a paper in my truck that showed work that needed to be done and suggested I call to make an appointment. I am sure you will understand when I tell you, “I will NOT be making any appointments with your shop ever again.” Not only will I not, I will be telling everyone I know just how you run your service department. I am very disappointed in the service department and that certainly puts a black mark against your entire business. More
