I am a little upset at the moment. I purchased a new 2013 jeep with lift and larger wheels and tires. After 2 weeks of driving jeep the rear tire carrier started rattling. At that point checked to mak 2013 jeep with lift and larger wheels and tires. After 2 weeks of driving jeep the rear tire carrier started rattling. At that point checked to make sure lugs on wheel tight and was. Removed spare and rattle went away. Put back on and test drove, to my surprise still a rattle. Did research online and in manual and discovered max weight on carrier was 69 pounds. Weight my wheel and tire and was 90 pounds. And if aftermarket carrier was not installed the welds on gate will end up failing over time. Looking at my welds already looked to be bowing in a tiny hair. Keep in mind this does depend on roads driven etc. Well the roads in my area are horrible. This can be googled and plenty of examples will display. Ended up calling and driving to dealer only to be told hasn't happend on any of the other vehicles they sold and they would do nothing about it. I ended up ordering a teraflex hd tire carrier with adjustable tire bracket. 700 dollars later and I will have it fixed and will never have issue. My problem is that if they sell it with upgrades they should back possible problems that could occur because of these. I even asked if they could cover some of the cost only to be told will not happen. Mike Patton has always been great to me over the 4 cars I have purchased from them. But for this they fell short. I had an absolutely wonderful experience when purchasing my new Dodge Journey. I had very specific expectations so I was worried that I would have a difficult time finding a vehicle that I liked in the pric my new Dodge Journey. I came into the dealership for an oil change on my 2009 Dodge Ram while I was waiting Laura walked by and offered assistance while I was waiting. Laura said give her a few minutes to see what she could do. Before i knew it. I was sitting in front of the finance manager signing the papers on my new Jeep. Laura had met every criteria and exceeded the set limit. She also had the Jeep completely ready to go the instant the papers were signed so I wasnt waiting any longer than I had to. Laura is the best, and I would definitely consider buying another vehicle from this dealer as long as she was handling the deal. This was the third vehicle I bought from Mike Patton and by far the best satisfaction ever. More
