I was in Midway Chevy and bought a Brand New Silverado. I want to say there is noone that was more curtious, friendly and efficient than my salesman Greg Roden. He went above and beyond my expectations. I ev want to say there is noone that was more curtious, friendly and efficient than my salesman Greg Roden. He went above and beyond my expectations. I even refered my sister in law to buy a vehicle from Greg. If I ever need a vehicle or know anyone who does. Greg and Midway Chevy will be the dealership. Keep up the good work. More

Neil Underfoot has got to be the most unprofessional manager I have ever dealt with. He used profanity and yelled at me and called me a liar. I have been looking to buy a new car for a while. I have shopped around at several dealerships to compare pricing over the past couple months and found that I could get the best deal at Midway. Everyone I dealt with was very courteous and professional. I did not run into any problems and the paperwork reflected all the details that we had discussed. I am enjoying my new car and will definitely buy my future cars from them. I would highly recommend buying a car from Midway. More
Unfortunately I did not check this website and these reviews before calling and going to look at new cars at Midway Chevrolet on Bell Road. I wasted 3+ hours at Midway Chevrolet. Maybe I can save so reviews before calling and going to look at new cars at Midway Chevrolet on Bell Road. I wasted 3+ hours at Midway Chevrolet. Maybe I can save someone else the frustration I experienced there yesterday. If you are considering a car purchase from Midway Chevrolet I have two suggestions for you; #1 Do not go there. #2 Instead of going to Midway Chevrolet just go to see Eric Steffes (602-430-6983) at Courtesy Chevrolet on Camelback and 12th Street. Based on my experience, and apparently the experience of others that have written reviews on this web site, Midway Chevrolet is really a classic example of why car dealers have less then a stellar reputation. Yesterday, 2/26/2011, I went to Midway completely ready to purchase a new car. And they had a car on their lot that I wanted to purchase. In the past I have probably purchased 20-25 cars so I’m fairly familiar with the process. Never before have I had an experience like I had yesterday at Midway Chevrolet. If you do go there be extremely careful and make them slowly explain the numbers and terms before you sign anything. Believe it or not, they were filming the signing of documents when I went into the financing person’s office. It seemed as if that person in the financing office took forever trying to sell me an extended warranty or service contract. That extended warranty or service contract was going to cost me an extra $408 a month in addition to my car payment. Yes, that was in addition to the actual car payment! When I declined that extended warranty or service contract he started to very quickly go over the numbers and terms of the car purchase agreement. Luckily I was able to catch that they were able to meet my negotiated monthly payment amount by extending my car loan to 6 years. I suggest that you be extremely careful regarding the numbers you sign for if you go there. You might get home with you new car and be surprised at what you signed. After I caught the 6 year loan term I told them that was not acceptable. The finance person left and in came the most unprofessional person I have ever met in any car dealership. I eventually told him that I was leaving. I requested that he return the keys and registration for the car that I had wanted to trade in. Well, they could not find or locate my car keys or registration. They even tried to tell me that I had to just accept a “copy” of my vehicle registration. It got to the point that I was ready to dial 911 and call the local police department to report my car as stolen. Eventually I received my car keys and registration, and left. Yes, this was their “customer appreciation” at it’s finest! Next I went to Courtesy Chevrolet a few miles away at Camelback and 12th Street. They also had a car on their lot that I wanted to purchase. At Courtesy Chevrolet I met Eric Steffes and worked with him and George to complete the purchase of my new car. Two hours after I walked into Courtesy Chevrolet I was leaving with my new car, totally pleased with how the whole process and transaction took place. Eric and George were incredibly professional and there was absolutely no pressure or ugliness whatsoever. When I went in to sign the paperwork with their finance person there was not even any heavy handed pressure to purchase an extra service contract or extended warranty. And the finance person thoroughly explained the details of what I was signing and answered all of my questions patiently and unhurriedly. From start to finish, everything in my purchase at Courtesy Chevrolet was conducted as it should have, with dignity and professionalism. Before shopping for a car check out the reviews for these two dealerships. In hindsight I wish that I had checked the reviews first. I would not have wasted the 3+ hours I spent at Midway Chevrolet. I have personally seen why there is such a contrast in the reviews for these dealerships. Call Courtesy Chevrolet, ask for Eric Steffes, and you will see the difference. I would very strongly recommend Courtesy Chevrolet and Eric Steffes to everyone. More
My husband and I were very satisfied with our recent purchase and the customer service we received at Midway Chevrolet. Living outside the metropolitan area, we definitely do our research before drivin purchase and the customer service we received at Midway Chevrolet. Living outside the metropolitan area, we definitely do our research before driving into town to make any major purchase. Out of all the dealerships we called prior to our purchase, Midway was more tentative to our needs and offered a fair deal. They listened to our needs and met them. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and our transaction was handled in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend Midway to our friends and family. Great Job! More
After hearing some radio ads, I decided to stop by Midway Chevrolet. I wanted to trade my 08 Rav 4 in on a new Equinox. I wasn't sure they would be able to do anything for me since I still owed a lot of my Chevrolet. I wanted to trade my 08 Rav 4 in on a new Equinox. I wasn't sure they would be able to do anything for me since I still owed a lot of my Rav. My salesman was Keith. He was knew a lot about the cars and answered all my questions with ease. He really helped me pick out the right car with the right features for me. Ok to the financing...I was still scared that I was going to put a ton of cash down to get rid of my Rav. To my suprise, that was not the case. I ended up putting 1,500 down and only increased my payment $100 for a car I liked a whole lot better. Not to mention a way better interest rate (my Rav was my first car purchase). My finance guy was nice. I was not going to add any warranties but after having them explained to me, I decided they were a good deal. All and all it was a great experience. I would buy from them again. More
I would like to start off by mentioning how wonderful my experience at Midway Chevrolet was. I called the dealership Friday afternoon and spoke to a manager named Steve tucker. Steve was attentive to my needs and seemed to be very educated on the product and specials they were running. I showed up Saturday afternoon to meet Steve in person. Not only was Steve ready for me with the vehicle pulled up waiting for me, he made the entire process pleasant and hassle free. I have bought many cars in my life and by far would recommend Midway Chevy and Steve Tucker. The Dealership was clean, the process was done in a timely manner, and the overall experience was great. So my suggestion would be this...if you are currently in the market for a new or used Chevy....go down to Midway and ask for Steve. More
Run AWAY. DON'T STOP. SAVE YOUR TIME. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Run AWAY. DON'T STOP. SAVE YOUR TIME. SAVE YOUR MONEY. THIS NIGHTMERE STARTED ON JAN.14,2011. I HAD HERD ON THE RADIO HOW MIDWAY WOULD HELP THOSE T Run AWAY. DON'T STOP. SAVE YOUR TIME. SAVE YOUR MONEY. THIS NIGHTMERE STARTED ON JAN.14,2011. I HAD HERD ON THE RADIO HOW MIDWAY WOULD HELP THOSE TO REBUILD THEIR CREDIT. OVER THE YEARS I HAD BOUGHT A LOT OF VECHILES FROM MIDWAY. SO THIS IS GOOD I WENT. IN 2008 I WAS INJURED, LOST EVERYTHING. SO BEEN TRYING TO GET BACK ON TRACK. BEFORE I NEW I WAS BUYING A USED 2006 BUICK. I GAVE THEM MY OLD CAR PLUS $500.00 DOLLARS DOWN. THEN AFTER A FEW DAYS, WAS CALLED ASK TO RETURN. I WAS THEN TOLD THE LOAN COMPANY DIDN'T LIKE THE DEAL. I AM ON SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILTY, I DON'T HAVE A LOT OF MONEY. THEY HAD ME WRITE A ANOTHER CHECK FOR $600.00. THEY SAID THEY WOULD HOLD. I WAS TO PAY $150.00 PER MONTH. AFTER 2 WEEKS OR LESS I WENT UP THERE MADE MY FIRST PAYMENT OF $150. PLUS WROTE THEM A HOLD CHECK OF $450.00. I FIGURED THEY TARE UP THE $600.00 CHECK. MAYBE 2 DAYS LATER THE TWO CHECKS FOR $150, & $450 WAS PUT IN THE BANK AN BOUNCED. I FIGURE SO MUCH FOR THEIR WORD. I COVERED THE CHECKS, ONLY ASK THEM TO COVER THE $70.00 NSF FEES. I GOT THE RUN AROUND ON THIS. THEN ON FRIDAY FEB.11,2011 I LOOKED AT MY BALANCE IN THE BANK. MIDWAY HAD DEPOSITED THE $600.00 CHECK. I WENT UP TO MIDWAY THAT MORNING, DEMANDING TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER. SHOWED HIM ALL MY PROOF. HE THEN HAD A CHECK FOR $670.00 CUT, I THEN DEPOSITED. Feb. 15,2011 Was ask to come to the Dealer. Went up and they cleared up all the problems with my deal. I would have to give most of the credit to Rick Stephenson & Mr Stewart with out them I don't think it would of had the same out come. I would sugest if you have any problem go to these guys. I KNOW THE SAYING LET THE BUYER BEWARE. BUT AFTER ALL THE TRADES I HAVE MADE THERE....THE LOAN COMPANY ON MY OLD CAR HAS BEEN CALLING. THEY HAVE YET TO PAY THEM OFF. I AM HANDICAP, SO CAN'T GET DOWN ON THE GROUND, TO LOOK AT THE CAR. WHEN THE CAR WAS ON THE LOT I COULD SEE THEY HAD REPLACED THE 2 FRONT TIRES. CHEAP BUT NEW. THE REAR TIRES HAD TIRE SHINE ON THEM. SO THEY LOOKED NICE. BUT HAD THE CAR ON THE CAR LIFT TODAY, REAR TIRES ARE DOWN TO WEAR BARS. THEY ONLY REPLACED WHAT YOU CAN SEE. I KNOW IT IS MY FAULT, IF I COULD OF SEEN THEM I WOULD OF SPOKE UP. ALL IN ALL. I ONLY WISH I HAD NEVER HERD THE MESSAGE ON THE RADIO. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPEN TO MIDWAY. BUT THEY WILL NEVER SEE MY BUISNESS AGAIN... More
Let me start by saying I don't complain often. I believe these days you simply roll with the punches and accept that customer satisfaction is at the bottom of the list for most businesses. Everyone is out t these days you simply roll with the punches and accept that customer satisfaction is at the bottom of the list for most businesses. Everyone is out to take your money and do as little as possible from that point on. Having said that, the experience I had with Midway Chevrolet by far was the worst buying experience of my life. I know one person's opinion doesn't matter much in a world full of complainers but if I can somewhat contribute to destroying the reputation of this dealership and these sales people then I will be satasfied. I was recently in the market to purchase a black or "cyber grey" 2011 Chevy Camaro. Having recently filed for a chapter 7 bankruptcy my options were limited as to where I could go to buy a car. I had between $2500-$5000 to put down on the car. I called the dealership and asked for Jay Lawrence who had been frequently calling my phone and leaving messages to see if i was interested in a new car, Jay was busy at the time so I spoke with another salesman (forgot his name). I told him my whole situation with my income, my down payment, the type of car I wanted. He told me he had the color and model I wanted in stock which I came to find out later they didn't. They assured me they could purchase the car from a different dealer and said the car would be ready the next day. They charged $2000 onto my Visa and said they would contact me the following day. The next day (Saturday) came and went and no call. I called Jay on Sunday and left a voicemail and never heard back. On Monday I assumed the car would be there so I called Jay again and he assured me the car would be ready by the end of the day and he would call me when it was. The day went by and I never heard back from him. I called again that evening and he said he wasn't able to get it but he again assured me it would be ready the next day. The next day came and went and still no call. I decided to call the dealership the car was originally at, at Brown and Brown in Mesa and they confirmed that the car was still sitting on their lot. I called Jay Lawrence back and he again told me he had the deal done but he would not have it until the next day. I spoke of my displeasure and stated if the car wasn't ready the next day that I would no longer have it. I received a call from Stefan that same night who apologized for the situation and assured me the car would be ready the next day and he would even personally deliver it. The next day came and went and no call. I tried to contact the sales manager who also did nothing, and had a bunch of people yelling and laughing in the bankground when I was trying to explain the situation. Stefan called back the next day and informed me that he wasn't going to be able to get the car and that he would reverse the transaction onto my Visa the same day. A week goes by and the money still is not in my account. I call back Stefan and he informed me that the he would check on the situation and get back to me. He never did. I ended up buying another car from another dealer and writing a check for the down payment thinking the $2000 would be in my account within days, but it never was. The check ended up being processed and I was hit with fees from my bank for not having the money in my account. I called back Stefan and he says again he will check on the situation and call me back. To my surprise he called back about and hour later and asked for my card number so he could reverse the transaction --something he should have done 2 weeks earlier. He says it should take a couple days to process. 4 days go by and still nothing. I contacted my bank to see if there was an attempt to reverse the transaction and they said they show no type of transaction being attempted. I ended up putting a claim in through the credit card fraud department of the bank just to get my money back. Not exactly the type of situation a person wants to experience not only when buying a car but trying to reestablish their credit. This dealership is pathetic. I would highly recommend not going here but instead trying Brown and Brown and talking to Keyon. They have a more straight-forward approach that you can only respect. If you do go to this dealership atleast try to avoid the people I have mentioned above. I know 95% of salesmen are scum but these two take the cake. More
