Dan Crilley was informative, helpful, non pushy, and efficient. After going to another Acura dealer in the area, this experience was a breath of fresh air. When I first went to the dealer I showed up 45 minutes before closing. That did not seem to bother Dan at all and he worked with me past closing time. I felt that Dan was on my side as the buyer and not your typical salesman. Dan was responsive to my calls and called me back in a timely manner. He sat down in the car with me the day I was taking it home to help me with the technology package features, I thought that was extremely helpful and I really appreciated the time he gave me. He also followed up with me after the purchase. Working with Jen Katzl on the financing side was a great experience as well. She showed me the options without over pressuring me to get any of them. She also helped me to reach the monthly payment target I wanted. Jen was also very responsive. This was my first car purchase in 9 years, and it went much smoother than I had anticipated. I would reccommend Herb Connolly to others. More
The Whys: I have the wonderful job in our family of researching on the internet and traveling to the dealerships, talking on the phone to sales people, doing the preliminary work for the final deal. It is exhausting, it is frustrating and in the past I have felt in the end black and blue - ie. "beaten up" it is an ugly game. I had already been to 2 Honda dealerships, as well as an independent dealer who found one at auction, Bill checked that Pilot out for us - he said "No,do not buy it." I had researched and had decided on getting a Honda Pilot. At the dealerships, I received the usual runaround,"There are 4 other people looking at this car", (bull), and the back and forth to the Sales Manager, as we were on our way out the door after spending 2 hours negotiating and made to wait while the salesman had other things to take care of, no deal was going to be struck based on the numbers they were offering. On our way out the door, with no deal agreed upon,they offered more money for our trade in. So typical!! I know this game and I hate it. I went through the same game with Boch Toyota 20 years ago. In the beginning of this car search (which started about 2 weeks ago or more,) was not any different until yesterday, when I went reluctantly to Connolly Acura,as instructed by our mechanic. Bill said "How about an Acura MDX?" He knew others who had had a wonderful experience with Herb Connolly, heard they are honest and great to deal with. I thought, ok, ok, I'll go drive the Acura. Dennis Murray could not have been more professional,nicer, and understanding of the car dealer "abuse" that I had already had. I was honest in what I had been through, honest with the numbers that I was willing to pay, honest with all that was needed to make a deal happen. After the test ride, after a pleasant negotiating period, I was taking the car to our mechanic, he approved, told me "I told you so" very nicely and the deal was signed. This was such a refreshing, "made so much more positive experience", that of course we would return to Connolly!! Why wouldn't we? Therein lie all the whys!!!! I would be happy to relay the wonderful experience we had with anyone who is looking for an Acura or to purchase a used (pre-owned) car Thank you, thank you Dennis!!!!!!! More
I had visited two other Acura dealers in the area. One of those I had lots of experience with since I have been leasing Acuras from them since 2004. However, I was unhappy with some of their sales strategies. When I entered the Herb Connolly showroom, I already had some telephone discussions with Dennis Murray, my Sales Consultant. So we were already somewhat familiar with one another. I felt that Dennis was truly trying to meet my need, not just making a show of it. Dennis Murray went through all the sales steps methodically, and he carefully responded to my questions. Dennis was very pleasant to work with. I felt that we were working together in a cooperative manner. It was not confrontational, nor was it a power game with the invisible Sales Manager invisibly ruling over the negotiations. Bryan and Jennifer also seemed to have me at the center of the business at hand. As representatives of management of the dealership they reassured me they would do whatever they could to assist me to get the car I wanted. Their actions in the subsequent days proved to me that they were as good as their word. Everyone in that dealership worked together as a single team, there were no artificial lines of separation between sales, parts and service. it was the most enjoyable car buying experience I have had. That is why I leased my third Acura TL from Herb Connolly Acura of Framingham. More

i was coming out of a cadillac cts that i had on a two year lease. I started looking at cars about 6 weeks prior to the lease end. I looked at the infiniti, audi, buick lacrosse, lexus, avalon, ford, li year lease. I started looking at cars about 6 weeks prior to the lease end. I looked at the infiniti, audi, buick lacrosse, lexus, avalon, ford, lincoln, vw, honda, and hyundai competitors. i liked both the RL and TL, and found others to pale in comparison when all things were considered. I must have been into acura 10 times to drive first the tl, then the rl, then both in the same day so that i had a better feel, then came back to look at them side by side just for features, all the while looking at other cars in between visits so having more and more questions. i was first worred about ride (the caddie is very stiff and feels every bump, then about features, then about colors, at one point i was considering a CPO car... i was a horrible prospect. Dan worked with me thru the whole process, letting me know that he thought he had the best car for me, but that he respected that i had to make that decision myself. Twice when i went in Dan wasnt there, and others picked up for him, eventually they all got to know me and answered whatever questions i had. after all was said and done, i think i would have been good in either car, and more so than in any of the others that i test drove. Dan called me only with new information, new pricing, or just an idea for me to consider.. he asked me to buy along the way as a good salesperson should, but never made me feel pressure. he got to meet my wife and son on two of the occassions, and was good with my 10 year old son. the price they gave to me was better than any of the competitors, and at the price they gave to me i dont know how they made any money or can afford to pay dan for the time that he spent with me! I may have to give him a tip for the great job; and i dont think i ever felt that way before in the 10 other cars i have bought! More
My husband & I had been looking at used cars for a few months, we had a Ford lease we were looking to trade in and buy a used vehicle. We liked Acura's but didn't think they could ever be in our price range but we kept coming back to the RDX for a multitude of reasons. We went back to Herb Connolly Acura several times and we were always treated wonderfully. Dan our sales person and Nana the used car Manager where outstanding, we told them what we were looking for and a price point and they went to work to find the perfect fit. Patient, knowledgable, never ever pushy or overbearing. And then we met Jen Katzl the business manager and the experience only got better. We had a problem with Ford leasing and almost had to walk away several times from the RDX we wanted to buy but Jen went to the owner Chris Connolly and worked it out for us and never gave up. When we met Chris personally he was so gracious and sincere thanking us for the business and telling us to come back with the vehicle any time we had questions. When we picked up the vehicle Dan spent so much time going over everything, he is patient, kind, courteous and just an outstanding salesperson. After many years of going to car dealerships we have to say that this was the best experience ever. Jen, Dan, Nana & Chris Connolly made us feel like part of the Herb Connolly Acura family and we will recommend them to evryone we know. More
