MetroWest Acura responded

The customers looked at the car when it initially arrived prior to going through the Acura certification process. The Michelin tires originally on the car when it arrived would pass the state RMV inspection but were too worn to pass Acura's certification requirements. Accordingly, a complete new set of Nexen tires was installed as part of the certification which is a comprehensive process. When the certification was completed, the car was delivered and the actual buyer was pleased.

AGAIN I CAN NOT SAY IT ENOUGH ......... AVOID HERB CONNOLLY ACURA AT ALL COSTS I AM STILL GETTING xx ANSWERS OVER THE COMPUTER........AS YOU READ THE RESPONSE FROM HERB CONNOLLY BELOW THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO TELL ME WHAT THEY WANT ME TO HEAR......... NOW THEY ARE SAYING THE TIRES WOULD PASS STATE INSPECTION BUT NOT UP TO THEIR CERTIFICATION STANDARD (OH MY) THATS FUNNY BECAUSE AT FIRST THEY TOLD US THE TIRES WOULD NOT PASS STATE INSPECTION NOT BECAUSE OF THE TREAD WEAR BUT THE SIDEWALLS ON 2 TIRES WERE EXPOSED......PLEASE SAVE THE xx YOU TOOK OFF FOUR BRAND NEW MICHILIN TIRES (BECAUSE IT WAS A GREAT SELLING FEATURE ON THE CAR) AND REPLACED THEM WITH VERY CHEAP NEXON TIRES FOR THE MONETARY VALUE IT PRESENTED YOU....... IF THERE WAS NO OTHER REASON THEN WHY DID YOU NOT REPLACE THE MICHILIN TIRES WITH THE SAME MICHILIN TIRES THAT WERE ON THE CAR WHEN WE BOUGHT IT....... THEN KEEP THE CAR HOSTAGE FOR A WEEK AND DELIVER IT TO MY DAUGHTERS WORK WITHOUT ALL THE PROPER PAPERWORK AND SHE DID NOT SEE THE CAR TILL AFTER SHE LEFT WORK AND YOU WERE GONE....... MY FEELINGS STAND YOU DO NOT TREAT PEOPLE FAIRLY AND I HAVE NOT HEARD ONE WORD FROM ANYONE AT HERB CONNOLLY AS TO A RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM.......JUST MORE xx xx xx
