Bad experience with Metro Ford I found a used truck online at Metro Ford and talked to Josh Sawyer. Knowing that this was a used truck and had spent it's life in NY, I asked very specific question about the condition of the truck. I let Josh know that I would be coming from out of state, and relying on him to inform me of the condition of the truck. I called the dealership back several other times to ask additional questions insuring the condition and reliability of the vehicle. As it turns he misrepresented the condition the truck was in. The underneath side was completely rusted, and numerous rust areas on the body. Josh knew that I had over an 800 mile trip home, and yet the alternator, water pump, and air condition belts were cracked. In the end, Mr Sawyer did not even have the courtesy to come out of his office to apology. Instead he left his sales person the responsibility of dealing with me for his short comings. My wife and I were lied to by two different members of this dealership. We spent two hours there after we were assured that a car was all wheel drive. Then, once they realized they made the mistake and screwed up (all paperwork was complete), they apologized and said they would make it up to us the next day. The used car manager, Jim, called us the next day and said they couldn't help us and it was too bad... they ran our credit through false claims and this dealership is very shady... BUYER BEWARE!! There was no pressure at all. Allen answered all my questions and allowed me to come to my own decision. Once I decided I called and asked if I could come over and finalize my order. He found the time for me right away and listened to me as I explained what I wanted. I was always greeted by name, and taken care of efficiently. I never felt rushed. I have owned Saturns for the past twenty years and was very concerned about finding a new dealership and service center. I am very pleased that my friend recommended I go to Metro Ford and happy I connected with Allen. More

I purchased a new ford focus. When I went in to pick it up I was hurried through the forms sign here etc. When I got home I discovered I had purchased an extended service plan and the promised $250.00 disc up I was hurried through the forms sign here etc. When I got home I discovered I had purchased an extended service plan and the promised $250.00 discount was not included. I told them I did not want the extended service plan and was told you signed the form there is nothing we can do. The total extra cost which I was forced to finance was $2,277.00 More
I went into Metro Ford the beginning of June to purchase a car. I ended up purchasing an 03 Hyundai Santé Fe. When I was driving off the lot I noticed that the back door was jammed and wouldn't lock so I a car. I ended up purchasing an 03 Hyundai Santé Fe. When I was driving off the lot I noticed that the back door was jammed and wouldn't lock so I drove it back. They fixed it and I also said to them that it appears the Pass side window is stuck. They said I would have to bring it back so there parts dept. can look at it. So I drove it home and brought it back a few days later to have the pass side window fixed along with the AC button that was not working. They said there was a short in the wiring. Then over the next few days the engine was making some disturbing noises so I called them up and they said well they are not sure what they can do but to bring it in. I brought it in and they called me to say that the engine was shot and it needed a new one. So they replaced the engine with a used engine and when I asked them what was the mileage on the used engine they said they didn't know. I also did not tell me what the warranty was on the used engine. I then got the car back and now I heard a knocking noise in the front so I brought it in again and they said it was the Sway Bar Bracket and since it was not a safety issue they were going to charge me $165.00 to fix it. At this point I called the owner Dave Dariano and explained to him my whole experience and his reply to me was that I bought a "T CAR" I said what is that? He said well it was explained to me. I said no it wasn't! He said well they are cars we keep on our lot that are not in perfect shape but they are safe to be on the road and that they are sold as is. I explained that I had NEVER been told that and I would never had bought a "T CAR" and nowhere on their lot or on the internet does it say anything about these types of cars. On my paper work it does not say I bought a "T CAR". He then said I am not going to continue this conversation and hung up on me. More
Bought a Certfied Preowned Mustang GT convertible with 7200 miles. Mechanically, the car is in very good shape, but cosmetically, it looks like hell. Scratches, dents, chipped paint. The rear bumper co 7200 miles. Mechanically, the car is in very good shape, but cosmetically, it looks like hell. Scratches, dents, chipped paint. The rear bumper cover was pushed up into the quarter panel and cracked. Additionally, the CD player does not work and has a CD stuck in it from the previous owners. Many of these issues were pointed out to the salesperson and the sales manager before signing on the dotted line for the car, and they agreed to fix them. As it was raining both on the day of the test drive and on the day of delivery, some of the damage was not seen until the car was dry. Basically, whoever authorized the sale of this car as a Certified Preowned was asleep at the switch and basically saw low mileage and rubber stamped it. It's taken almost a month to even get the car into their body shop, and while they repaired the rear bumper cover, fixed a major dent and sprayed the inside of the door jams with a quick coat of paint, much of the cosmetic damage still remains. The excuse is "we can't make it new". Additionally, even though I told the salesman twice about the CD player AND reminded the body shop personnel twice about it, it was not repaired by their service department when it was brought into service after the bodywork was done to replace a bent antenna. This is the second vehicle I've bought from these scammers and it will be the last, as I had to ride them with the first vehicle on tires they promised to install upon the sale. I only returned the second time because the salesperson was decent on the first deal. Avoid them - they'll back out of promises and ignore making it right. Even when you pay a premium for a car because it's "Certified". More
Horrible dealership to work with. Never tell you the price of the car, just want you to agree and sign. Call me to come to dealership and after 2 hours finally confirm that the car I came to pick up price of the car, just want you to agree and sign. Absolutely the most horrible experience you can imagine. The service department has no clue as to how to diagnose and repair a problem. They told me one thing was wrong with the car and replacing this $900 part would resolve the problem. Well it didn’t. In fact a whole new problem happened after my car left the shop. This problem was completely independent from the original problem. Needless to say, the destruction they caused to this vehicle resulted in another bill of $2,000. The “service manager” was completely incompetent, ignorant, arrogant and rude. I would never trust the service department here. The only reason I ever went to these shysters was because I had recently purchased a new truck. I had an amazing experience with the sales person and thought that would be an indication of the entity as a whole. Well, I was in for a rude awakening. More

My agency has a deal with Metro Ford, which I was told they would honor, only to have them change their minds right before I was about to sign for my car, whic has a deal with Metro Ford, which I was told they would honor, only to have them change their minds right before I was about to sign for my car, which I ended up not purchasing. Our agency is now aware that they apparently keep their word when they feel like it, and pretend to provide proper customer service until you are about to buy a car. I will never go there again. More
