We purchased a used 2015 Audi-A3 on October 31, 2021 from Mercedes-Benz of Westmont, IL. The charges for this vehicle in total as shown on the retail purchase agreement was $28840.22. We put a down payment Mercedes-Benz of Westmont, IL. The charges for this vehicle in total as shown on the retail purchase agreement was $28840.22. We put a down payment of $1840.22, and our lending bank wire-transferred the remaining $27000. We were way over-charged for Michigan tax and plates/registration on this vehicle in the amount of $976.62. This is the $890 charged for registration/plates plus the overage calculated amount for collected tax on vehicle of $86.62 (1646.22 dealer estimated and collected - $1560 actual tax). They were supposed to obtain our plates through their hired 2nd party company of NISSI, and have them shipped to us. I received a phone call on December 30, 2021 at 11:06AM from NISSI informing me that our DMV refused their paperwork because our driver's license pictures were too dark and that they would ship a check in the exact amount due and the paperwork to the closest DMV server in our area and that on Monday, January 3, 2022 I can go in and sign for my husband (since he works out of town and all paperwork has been completed according to NISSI) and obtain the plates. This is NOT how it went. I had to pay out of pocket $205.94 on January 5. 2022 (as this was my appointment date) in order to obtain the plates after jumping through hoops to get my husband's signature while out of town and get back before 6pm to complete this transaction; as they also refused the check that was sent because it was for too much money. We are owed back a lot of money and they are failing to rectify any of this! They need to be investigated for fraud and theft/racketeering/kickbacks. If they have over-charged us by $976.62 and then made me pay out of pocket unexpectedly for a service that was already supposed to be paid for, then I am positive they have lied and ripped off other customers, especially those from out of state like us! It took them 2 months to even let us know about the plates and registration being rejected and then now are refusing any kind of restitution. I suggest checking out their BBB rating before dealing with this place! I wish we would have! More
I came in for a prepaid service to be told it expired a month ago and I had to pay another $600 to have what was paid for already. No warning, no consideration for the pandemic, nothing. Asked for a shuttle to be told I lived too far so I had to wait five hours to get my car back, after fixing my airbag recall, I will never step foot in there again. I can stay in the area to get mistreated. More

Let me start by saying - the buying process was a challenge when I had a racist comment aimed at me. That made me decide I wont buy my car here but then the Sales person Michael Moran and the GM Jame challenge when I had a racist comment aimed at me. That made me decide I wont buy my car here but then the Sales person Michael Moran and the GM James Cheatham (who were both amazing and quick to respond) were kind enough to acknowledge this and responded immediately by ensuring something like this would never happen going forward. Fast Forward a year later and I had my annual service. After the service, I noticed the inside of the car was not even touched nor wiped down (I wasn't expecting a full detail) and the passenger seat 'comfort' function was working on and off. I called back to schedule and get this checked / rectified and the lady in scheduling said 'no' and was blocking everything I suggested - including me saying I don't want a loaner and I am willing to wait there at the showroom to get my car. She was rude and unprofessional and I eventually circled back to the Service department to Brian Reed who seemed helpful - initially. He was quick to call me to ask me to give a better rating on their Satisfaction survey (even though I gave an 8 based on his initial response) and he assured me I could bring the car on a particular date and would reconfirm. I waited for the re-confirmation and a few days passed. I left a few voicemails and tried reaching him multiple times to ' NO response'. Mercedes Benz Westmont - this is going to hurt your brand if you have racist / non-responsive / rude staff being the front face of the brand. This is not my 1st time working with a luxury brand and I am 'DEFINITELY' taking my business elsewhere. While you have good-professional people like Michael Moran and James Cheatham on the front who are trying to field these mishaps - there are people on your workforce who are only hurting your brand and making you lose business.
