I was given a loaner that was the same model as my car and drove it for 2-1/2 months. I was kept up to date on the expected arrival of the part needed to repair my car. My car was in for routine maintenance. I meet my service advisor Brian at 7:00 am; Brian checked me and told the car would be completed in 2 hours. Brian had meet with loaner car person. Nightmare! We purchased a used 2020 Jetta from Mercedes-Benz of Westmont in March 2024 and the initial purchase went smoothly. I have excellent credit but due t We purchased a used 2020 Jetta from Mercedes-Benz of Westmont in March 2024 and the initial purchase went smoothly. I have excellent credit but due to demand and timing I took their their financing but planned to refinance immediately w/ my CU. I foolishly purchased an extended warranty from them but decided to cancel it the following day. Because the loan was already funded, I have had to jump through a series of hoops to get a refund from AutoNation and have done so promptly. At each step the goal posts kept getting moved. Because I refinanced, I chose to offset the cost of the $4k extended warranty from savings, expecting to replenish it within a month. I have done everything asked of me, signed every document promptly and after NINETY TWO (92) DAYS I still do not have any updates or so much as a reasonable ETA! A month ago, I was told the refund will be "expedited" and now nothing but crickets. I have tried to call and no one returns calls or emails. What started as a good buying experience has turned into a nightmare situation. At this point, I don't know if they expect to pocket the funds but the whole experience is shady and disappointing. Buyer beware. Update: After social media reviews, I was contacted by the dealership and a refund check was issued days later as promised. Took 100 days total. I really wish I didn't have to escalate to get a reaction but that's what happened. More
I was charged over $600 to program a MAF that was already programmed. They refused to refund my money. Weeks after I brought the car in, I still had the same problem. They said the check engine light was cau programmed. They refused to refund my money. Weeks after I brought the car in, I still had the same problem. They said the check engine light was caused by a bad MAF. Another shop correctly diagnosed the problem as the diesel particulate filter not able to re-gen. I have documentation from the service advisor at MB of Westmont that replacing the MAF didn't solve the problem. More
