Had the ignition interlock changed on my c300 for $1600 and the steering wheel is no longer straight. The service advisor chris advised they had trouble with the splines because they were damaged by me tak and the steering wheel is no longer straight. The service advisor chris advised they had trouble with the splines because they were damaged by me taking the kick panel off or the tow company disconnecting the steering. I removed the kick panel in an effort to see what was involved in the repair and if i could get the interlock to work one more time to get it to the dealership. I could not and scheduled an appointment and a tow leaving the kick panel off. The tow truck driver had no trouble dropping the car off as the wheels were locked straight. He dropped it off only and did not remove the column or disconnect the steering. I will get the wheel straightened at my next alignment if possible since the splines are now incorrect on the steering column But it wont be at this dealership. More
