He allowed us to look, and was extremely knowledgeable about every vehicle we showed an interest in. Because is was so cold out, we went inside and looked and sat in the cars and found the perfect one for us! He gave us all the information about both leasing and buying, which was extremely helpful. We decided to purchase our car and he made the buying process so easy. He took care of all the settings in our car and told us everything about it and left himself open to contact him if we ever need him to help us with our car. This was an awesome experience!! I have told all my friends about my experience at Mercedes Benz of Va. Beach!! More
Excellent Dealership and Staff I needed to upgrade to a newer Mercedes Benz that was smaller to replace the 2015 ML350 that I acquired 3 years before from Charles Barker. Hadrian Ap I needed to upgrade to a newer Mercedes Benz that was smaller to replace the 2015 ML350 that I acquired 3 years before from Charles Barker. Hadrian Apoderado has been my Sales Rep for many years and always ensured that I was a satisfied customer. He identified a great looking GLC 300 series that was loaded with the color schemes and features that I requested. My wife and I drove away in less that 90 minute with the turbocharged GLC that is terrific. Yogi Jaffee, Manager, ensured that the price abd deal was proper for my budget and is a cordial professional. Stellar client advisor, but management needs improvement. I recently bought a GLC 300 from MB of VA Beach. Is the first vehicle I purchase at this dealership as I am new to the area. Although I had an excelle I recently bought a GLC 300 from MB of VA Beach. Is the first vehicle I purchase at this dealership as I am new to the area. Although I had an excellent interaction with my client advisor (Tish), I was thoroughly disappointed with the management of MB of VA Beach for the following reasons: 1-I was not satisfied with the initial responses to my inquiries from the first service advisor (Jim)I contacted by email, as he gave me the wrong information and rather than rectify it left me a VM asking me to make an appt to come in to discuss. I went in person to specifically seek a different service advisor and that is how I met Tish. This triggered a territorial client advisor battle where I ended up feeling like the property of an advisor despite me clearly stating my preference to work with Tish. I think the correct thing to do in that situation is let the client work with the CA he/she feels most comfortable with and prefers. Not wanting to get into the middle of this, I went to a different dealer, had a deal in place that fell because of a recall issue, so I gave Tish another opportunity eventually leading to the purchase of a GLC 300 through her. 2-I wanted to negotiate a purchase of a second vehicle through European Delivery. The manager was not willing to negotiate, claiming the MB ED is a "cut and dry" program and no dealer discounts are possible, which I knew was not the case. He also initially told me that the discount on the vehicle I wanted was 5% when it was actually 7%. The manager when I corrected the 5% vs 7% error and gave him a second chance to negotiate on a sale of a second vehicle in one visit responded that the European service tells us the price and that there "never" has been any negotiating. Knowing this to be factually incorrect I ended up arranging ED with a different dealer at a 10% discount of US MSRP. 3-After finalizing the deal for the GLC I made the mistake of requesting the courtesy of receiving the vehicle as a "courtesy delivery". Manager responded that with ED delivery the dealer that sells the car has to receive it and that his dealership would not accept the liability. I presume he is either resentful or ignorant of the fact that there are multiple dealers in my area who do accept courtesy deliveries, which is what I have arranged with the dealer I bought the vehicle from. In summary, being a repeat MB customer, never having an experience like this with my other MB purchases, and given what has to be either shady negotiating tactics or ignorance regarding the incorrect information provided to me by the manager regarding the euro delivery process I left with the impression that the manager was not straightforward by claiming facts about European Delivery process I suspect he is not familiar with. I would definitely deal with Tish again, but not while this dealership remains under current management. I feel sorry given my interaction with the CA, who handled very well the difficult situation of being caught in the middle, that I can't give the dealer more than 2 stars based on the interactions with management. When I moved back to Hampton Va, I decided to drive t I am the proud owner of a few Mercedes Benz, my 2014 SLK CarbonLook Edition is my pride and joy. When I moved back to Hampton Va, I decided to drive to the other side of the water for my service needs to Charles Barker Mercedes Service. I have had some issues, which is expected, with my previous service advisor, who I will not name but no longer works there which has nothing to do with me. I refused to deal with a liar so I started using another advisor, who’s name is Diana and I could not be happier. Diana is honest, she communicates, she is hands down the reason I continue to drive 45 mins to THIS dealership instead of 10 mins to the one closer to me. I let the Service Manager know how happy I am with Diana but he informed me she is only the express service team advisor but does fill in from time to time for advisors when they are out. It seems my current advisor has been out a few times and honestly I’ve never met him, but Diana does his job in his absence. My SLK has now been there for over a week. Diana started my case on this and has kept me up to date on what my expected service completion time is and everything, even though my service advisor is back, which he did call me to tell me my car was completed. But when I asked him specific questions about my rather extensive service, he said according to the paperwork, that was done. Diana is the kind of service advisor that wouldn’t say that, she would find out to give a 100% definite answer. She truly goes well above and beyond to make sure the customer is happier when they leave from service than when they walked in, even though all Mercedes owners know our wallets are not happier ha ha. Diana should be a full time service advisor without a doubt. If not run the entire service area, which the way she works in that place from what I see, already does do a lot for just a fill in and express service advisor. More
