I typically get good service until this last time around. I dropped my car off on a Friday for a repair. Was initially provided a loaner as usual by the front desk staff who stated they had SUVs and compacts I dropped my car off on a Friday for a repair. Was initially provided a loaner as usual by the front desk staff who stated they had SUVs and compacts available since repair was going to take a few days but then quickly rescinded by service team member Richard because it did not meet the requirement for whatever reason. Richard reported part would arrive Sunday and car would be fixed on Monday. Monday comes around, not fixed until likely Tuesday. By this time, I have been nagging family and friends to pick up and drop off my son at school or work because my husband and I also work full time. I asked again for a loaner and now Richard reports there is none available. It has been quite stressful juggling transportation without a third car when historically, this dealership had always given us a loaner. Then Tuesday comes around. I called Richard first thing Tuesday morning at 9am re: the readiness of my car, he did not return my call but someone else did on his behalf and said Richard would call me cause car was ready for pick up. Of course it was only me available to pick up the car so I needed a ride. Richard didn't call me so 2.5 hours later I called again. He then stated, someone would call me when they are on the way to pick me to go get my car within the next half hour. One hour later as I was about to call him again, I get a text from my husband that someone is on there way to pick me up to get the car. Finally, this whole time the work order was under MY name and I left MY number with Richard because the number he had on file was for my husband which he was informed and I even saw him write it down on the copy his my receipt that he had. It was so frustrating. How do they expect working families to work if they keep our cars so long WITHOUT a loaner. SMH. More
After being loyal customers since 1980, our family will be leaving the dealership after our dissatisfaction with the service department’s handling of our last two service visits. Not only were both visits be leaving the dealership after our dissatisfaction with the service department’s handling of our last two service visits. Not only were both visits marred by a significant decline in the services provided, but we were poorly treated after voicing our concerns last week, met with a contrary attitude and a complete lack of the customer service we have come to know & expect after all these years. A luxury brand such as MBZ has a certain level of reputation that one expects, and especially when a customer has had such a long relationship with them. To be clear, our upset has NOTHING to do with our service provider, Jose, who is exceptional. It was his great assistance that has kept us with MBZ of Stockton. Sadly, he is leaving, and now so are we. The disappointment runs very deep. More
March 8th I noticed while driving back from Sacramento to Manteca CA, my vehicle began to malfunction once I exited the freeway. Vehicle dash lights came on and warned not to shift gears, limited safety func Manteca CA, my vehicle began to malfunction once I exited the freeway. Vehicle dash lights came on and warned not to shift gears, limited safety functions available, limited drivers assist available screen also started flashing on and off. I called and brought the vehicle into Mercedes Benz of Stockton. I was call by service advisor stating the Cam shaft sensor and cam shaft tensioner needed to be replaced. I questioned the repair because while driving the vehicle there seemed to be an electrical issue and not a mechanical issue. I also asked the service advisor which code was present that caused them to believe there was a Mechanical issue, and my question was never answered. I reluctantly agreed to the repairs and was assured that the vehicle would be fixed i was charged $5,978.25. When I picked up my vehicle, everything seemed ok, however when driving back from Sacramento the vehicle did the exact same thing. I called my service advisor again to inform him that the vehicle was still malfunctioning and the repairs did not resolve the issue. This time they stated the main wiring harness in the rear of the vehicle was shorting out (which I thought should have been the first repair), and they would not charge me labor if I purchased the part. I again reluctantly agreed to the repairs (at this point I felt I had no other choice). The dealership charged me another $940.00 and had my car for 3 weeks before repairs were done. I picked up my car and drove home, once I got on the freeway I noticed the screen begun to flash on and off, which is exactly what the car was doing before. I drove home as quick as I could and parked the car. I haven't drove the car sense that day. I called the service advisor and he only could offer to take a look at the car again. I stated that I thought the first repair was unwarranted, and I wanted them to refund my money as they had completed a repair that had nothing to do with my original complaint of the vehicles drivability. I called Mercedes Benz and issued a formal complaint to which Mercedes Benz stated the dealership repair shop would not refund my money. I have paid over 7 to 8 thousand dollars for repairs that have not resolved my vehicles issues. I feel Mercedes Benz of Stockton has exploited the issue and charged me for repairs that were not necessary or needed. This isn't the first time I have been dissatisfied with the performance of this dealership. 6 months ago I brought my vehicle in to have some suspension work completed, when I picked up my car, I noticed a knocking noise coming from the front of the vehicle. When I brought the vehicle back, the service advisor informed me that the tech had forgot to tighten my sway bar, which was causing the knocking noise I heard. I feel this dealership repair shop should have their license revoked for predatory behavior and incompetence. I still think I should be issued a refund for the unsuccessful/unnecessary repairs that were done on my vehicle. 1ST ISSUE BROUGHT VEHICLE IN FOR SUSPENTION WORK SPENT ABOUT $2600 HAD TO RETURN BECAUSE TECH FORGOT TO TIGHTEN SWAY BAR 2ND ISSUE BROUGHT VEHICLE IN FOR ELECTICAL ISSUE WAS ADVISED TO SPEND $5978.25 FOR A MECHANICAL ISSUE PICK ISSUES WERE NOT RESOLVED 3RD ISSUE BROUGHT VEHICLE BACK AND SERVICE ADVISOR STATED NEEDED TO REPLACE THE REAR CAN WIREING HARNES, PAID $960.00 PICK UP THE VEICLE ISSUES STILL NOT RESOLVED CALLED AND ASKED FOR RESOLUTION AND REFUND OF UNNECESSARY ADVISED REPAIRS, WAS TOLD THAT NO REFUND WOULD BE GRANTED, BUT I COULD BRING THE VEHICLE BACK............ DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE TEAM, THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! More

Nothing good to say about the service department and the advisor. Car went in for a leaking windshield and they parked it outside during the 19 days of record rain. We called and complained and was told no advisor. Car went in for a leaking windshield and they parked it outside during the 19 days of record rain. We called and complained and was told no water came into the car. Picked up car a few days later and found water stains on the screen, windshield, dashboard. Condensation on the window at the dash. Water in the cup holder. Called and complained was asked to bring it back. Wife drove it to work on another's rainy day and it leaked the very next day we got it back. Took it back in and was mad as xxxx. They have shined us on ever since. Was told by the service manager the water didn't damage anything. I said if you are so sure how about a written warranty for any shirts or issues. Service manager said they will not do anything but fix the leak. Local dealer with local ownership. We're good to buy the car from but the worse service department I have ever seen. It goes past bad I believe they are not capable of quality work. Being refused talking to any higher up management.
