I worked with Darrell Kimrey for purchase of my E-300, he should have been highly annoyed with me as I chose to do all negotiating via e-mail and phone. He requested on several occasions that I come to the dealership to see him, but he never overly pushed the issue with me, which was the right move in dealing with me. After we reached an agreement when I went to the dealership to take delivery, I was met with a GENTLEMAN of pure CLASS! During my road test of the vehicle his knowledge of Mercedes as a manufacturer and their history amazed me. Then he demonstrated every function of the specific vehicle all the way down to how awesome the turn ratio of the vehicle is. He explained and demonstrated every feature of the vehicle for me. The reception we received from him in the dealership was as if we good friends, very warm and welcoming. In speaking with Mr. Kimrey about his history (which is my nature) I learned that he had sold and MANAGED some very high end vehicle dealerships, given this, it even impressed upon me more how much he believed in the product and it's value, Mercedes-Benz! Although we chose not to finance, the finance manager Marc Bartalini gave us some very note worthy financial advice about return on our money versus financing the vehicle. Overall our experience with MERCEDES-BENZ OF SOUTH CHARLOTTE was the most professional and pleasant vehicle purchasing experience, and I am 54 years old. Darrell is knowledgeable and passionate about what he sells. He is approachable and patient in explanations. The dealership as a whole gives the appearance of a" well oiled machine"...all departments are working together to make sure the customer receives an excellent product and a flawless experience. My car had some front bumper damage and after it was worked on, you absolutely could not tell there had been any damage at all! We drove over 6 hours to see this car...and it was worth the time and effort. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone who wanted to purchase a Mercedes or in need of service or body work. Service Beyond the Call No one wants to be stranded on the side of I-77 with a flat tire in the rain and after dark. But that is what happened last night. We called Mercede No one wants to be stranded on the side of I-77 with a flat tire in the rain and after dark. But that is what happened last night. We called Mercedes Roadside Assist and after a 2-hr wait, we heard from the tow company that they had gone north to Huntersville instead of south to Rock Hill (and beyond) in spite of very specific directions to the contrary. South Charlotte Mercedes Benz came to the rescue. One phone call and they promptly sent a service truck and rescued us in spite of the late hour. Mobile Service Technician Justin was warm and cordial and very quickly got us on the road. The Service Manager Aundre Newman stayed late to insure our prompt care and Service Advisor Jamie-Lynn Scheuneman quickly assured us that all was in hand, promptly got us in a loaner car and insured that every detail for our comfort was looked after. The level of care, service, and follow-up has been unexcelled. We are fortunate indeed to have this excellent company in our area. More
