Outstanding Mercedes Purchase Experience I traveled from Virginia to Charlotte, NC to view a Mercedes at an independent dealer in Charlotte; I left that dealership totally disgusted. So... I I traveled from Virginia to Charlotte, NC to view a Mercedes at an independent dealer in Charlotte; I left that dealership totally disgusted. So... I thought that while I was in Charlotte, I should visit the Web and check for other M-Bs in the area. Mercedes Benz of South Charlotte (henceforth, referred to as the dealer) had a Web site that was easy to navigate via smartphone., which is not always the case. I identified an automobile that interested me, called the dealer to inquire if it was still available (it was) and told the sales representative that I would be there very shortly to view the automobile. Mr. Darrell Kimrey assisted me. He was totally professional in his discussions with me, had extensive knowledge of Mercedes Benz and other high end European automobiles and cheerfully addressed all my questions/concerns. (I am a car nut of some 55 plus years, have judged show cars for several decades and am very selective - some would say to the extreme - in the automobiles I purchase and in the automobiles I assist friends and relatives in purchasing.) The subject automobile was an E63 AMG - the exterior, interior and operation were exceptional - THEN I asked Mr. Kimrey to put it on a lift so I could evaluate the undercarriage - also exceptional. Long story short - a near perfect pre-owned automobile. ...and pre-owned AMGs are automobiles that can can be subject to harsh treatment by previous owner(s). Mr. Kimrey and I sat down and came to a quick meeting of the minds - without any of the unpleasantness one can encounter in purchasing an automobile. I took delivery of the M-B the next day and drove it to Virginia with no issues. My wife and I love it! I highly recommend Mercedes Benz of South Charlotte! BTW, all facilities, including the shops, were spotlessly maintained. More
