The worst experience I've ever had at a Mercedes dealer. My family started with their first Mercedes in 1975, purchased and then serviced at Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach, California. When I moved to Vermont in 2009 I started having them serviced at Automasters in Shelburne, Vermont. I continued to enjoy great service as I added my 2012 and 2016 E350's to my garage. We added our house in Portland, Maine in 2022 and started to go to Scarborough Mercedes for service then. We began with Neil Hickey then when they were operating out of trailers while they were rebuilding the main buildings of the dealership. Now they have a beautiful dealership, but Neil has a new job and the service went to xxxx. They had our car there for THREE MONTHS during which time we would call repeatedly and never get anyone on the phone. Our new service advisor only responded to the messages we left six times out of 23 calls. We called on a Monday and never heard back. We called that Friday and talked to the cashier who told us the car had been ready for several days. Then, when we went to pay, we were unable to use our Citibank ATM cards. When I got home and called Citibank they said there was nothing to show that the cards were used at all, much less denied. We are Citibank Priority members and never have less than $80,000 in our accounts. In the end, I can't even explain to myself how these horrible interactions could happen at a Mercedes Benz dealer. I will never go to the Scarborough Mercedes dealer again. I will only use the dealer in Shelburne Vermont even though it's more than an hour away from our house in Vermont. I hope Scarborough Mercedes goes out of business. It's a blemish to the company. More
Modern, clean dealership. Always plenty of snacks and fresh coffee available.
