I was told I had a 1 year unlimited mile warranty and that as long as I called before warranty expired I would be able to purchase 2 additional years in extended warranty. I worked with Bill in used cars he was nice while I was buying my car but now that I am having an issue he is rude and unprofessional. Guess all they care about is the money and not the actual quality of cars or service they put out. I was told I had till June 1st 2016. I have clear paper work showing my contract was signed and dated June 1st. When I called to extend my warranty May 23rd, 2916 I spoke to a girl in Financial Services who stated the warranty expired 3 day ago (May 20th) and therefore I could not extend. I then had Bill the original guy call me the next day and tell me the expiration date was now May 16th. I asked him why the day before it was May 20th and now its May 16th and his response rude was "don't put words in my mouth." He said he would call and see if he could get it extended and on May 24th, 2016 called me stating I had till noon to pay $2869 for my extended warranty. I went on and paid it right away contacted him back stating it was paid and not even 10 minutes later Bill returned a call to me stating he now could not extend my warranty he gave me the wrong information. When I asked him for the number to the people he is talking to since he claims "It has nothing to do with the dealership" his response was "There is no number is a dealership only line".....(INTERESTING) I then asked him why the day before it was May 20th and now its May 16th and his response rude was "don't put words in my mouth." He then proceeded to tell me to look at my paperwork and tell him what date is on my.....June 1st his yet again rude and unprofessional response was "What is your point in calling me?" It is now May 31st I have yet to hear from him as he is supposedly "WORKING ON IT" and I have also yet to see the $2869.00 returned to me. This dealership is clearly only about the sale and can care less about they quality of service or product the put out after you drive it off the lot. It basically like buying a care from a scam lots.....I have also filed a complaint with the BBB so......BUYER BEWARE! More

Also was told that I need new tires (I just put new tires 2 months ago!) and need front and back brakes. They found bunch of other "problems" and the total bill was almost $8000 for a 2005 Mercedes! Paid the $145 diagnosis and took it to a local mechanic. the leak was from a hose and he charged me a total of $75 to fix it. No problems with tires and the brakes. Mercedes Benz of SD are a bunch of thieves. Last time I go there. More

I took my ML-55 AMG to the dealer Because the check engine came on and I couldn't drive it more then 40 miles/ hr. and felt the engine under pressure, so they wanted me to do diagnostic test for $145, engine came on and I couldn't drive it more then 40 miles/ hr. and felt the engine under pressure, so they wanted me to do diagnostic test for $145, then they where too busy I had to leave the car on 12/23/13 so I took a loaner car, Daniel one of the advisors there called me next day and said the Electronic control unit for the transmission needs to be changed, and it coast about $1400, got my cousin to speech with Daniel since he is a mechanic in Hemet and he got me extra 14% off, yeaah. the dealer didn't have the parts so they had to order it from east coast and since it was the 24th of Dec. Daniel said he will have the part on Friday and the car will be ready on Saturday, will I never got a call from him on Friday nor Saturday so I called him Sat. and he said the part will be in on Monday and Tuesday will be ready for pick up. on Tuesday he called me and said the car is ready, I went to pick it up, paid and took the keys and I started the engine and the check engine light still on !!, called an advisor and he said just life it and will look at it first thing Monday morning, Daniel then called on Monday and said another problem came up the control motor needs to be changed, which he didn't say any thing about it when they did the diagnostic test and he said it cost another $660 , what a rep off, I asked how much is the part cost and he said $210 and he is charging me $660 for one hour labor which they usually charge $145 per hour.. declined repair and my cousin was going to repair it for me for $250 the part was actually $170 only not $210.. any way I went to pick up the car and I expressed my disappointment at there service and I took the car from there when I drove it just to the light I was unable to go over 40 miles and the engine was load just like when I brought it in the first time, so I turned a gain to the dealership and was so mad talked with Daniel and he was speechless, nothing was done on my car they had it for almost two wks and same condition I brought it in I took it out, so he said leave it and will look at it Daniel said take a loaner and will look at it on Monday so there I go again the third loaner I was so mad at the whole service,, on Monday Daniel called me and said the car driving great so I came to pick it up for the third time .. one of the ladies how works there she went to get my car, she came back stating that the car is not starting!!!! I said and now what did you guys broke the car not starting!!, so Daniel said will from the notes the battery not holding a charge and you need to change it either here or some where else will jump started it for you, so I had to take the car out of there bcz every time I went to pick it up the dealer came up with new problem so they can milk your money and I think bcz am a lady they try to take advantage of you as much as they can, the engine light is still on, on my car, I will never ever buy a Mercedes ever or take it to this dealership ever, they don't know what the hale they do, am very disappointed at this dealer place and I'll never recommend it to any of my friends and family More
I took my car in for service (AC not working) on 7/17/2013, the lady helping me, her name was Trudi H. I got an estimate for just checking the car at around $275.00 dollars, and that was ok with me 7/17/2013, the lady helping me, her name was Trudi H. I got an estimate for just checking the car at around $275.00 dollars, and that was ok with me. Trudi told me that she will be on vacation but she will give me an estimate before she goes on her vacation, which she did call me that Friday morning 7/19/2013. I got the estimate, quite a surprise ( a pretty large sum of money involve in the price she quoted me) and again I really needed the AC fixed, so I said ok. After 2 days I havent heard anything as far as the status on my car, so I called the dealership (Mercedes of San Diego), here is where the incompetency of the lady that answered the phone comes in. At 4pm- spoke with Jennifer, she said she will connect me to Collete who is handling the service for my car, waited, waited, waited, phone keeps on ringing, then a guy from Sales answers the phone, and he said that he will transfer me to service. Jennifer picks up the phone, and said "Oh, let me transfer you again to Collete, phone rings, and rings, and rings, you get the picture." I called Jennifer back at these times: 4:03pm, 4:06pm: 4:12pm: 4:18pm, 4:22pm and each time i keep getting transferred to sales, and here's the kicker.....they have a caller ID and on the next call I made they did not answer the phone. So I went ahead and used my other phone to call and Jennifer answered, "Oh so you called from a different phone?" What a customer service Jennifer!!!!! Finally at 4:25pm she gets Shannon on the line, Shannon helped me by having Scott the Manager from service called me and update me regarding the status on my car. No wonder this Jennifer lady works as a customer service, she needs to be more competent in getting the right people on the phone for customers. More
Daniel is personable, honest and always keeps me timely informed on when I can expect my car to be finished. The techs he has working on my car always do a superb job and have yet to have an issue where it informed on when I can expect my car to be finished. The techs he has working on my car always do a superb job and have yet to have an issue where it required me to bring the car back for a reoccurring issue. Daniel is by far the best service rep I have ever dealt with -- regardless of the car brand. Just feels good to have a place I know my car will get taken care of correctly. More

Enrique Lopez Bait and switch... Read the other yelper's comments and stay away from this place! It's an old game that this guy likes to play. Enrique Lopez Internet manager Mercedes-Benz of San Diego 858-627-1661 One more thing...I asked him numerous times that day if they still had the car. Each time I asked he said yes. If he was doing his job at all wouldn't he at some point double check? So, it's either a bait and switch or he's not doing his job. Which one is it Paul? He knew he didn't have the car I wanted, but told me he had it anyway to get me there. Recent update as of January 15, 2012: Bait and switch....wow...that was only the beginning.... After a conversation I had with the General Manager it's my opinion that the arrogance at the place begins with top management and extends through middle management down to the line level. Unbelievable that these folks feel that arrogance towards customers is an acceptable business practice. Well, the good news is what I've always said. "if you give them enough rope, they will hand themselves:. This WILL catch up with them. Do you think all of the Roger Penske owned dealerships across the country are like this or just this one? By the way, I bought an E63 and loaded 2012 E350 from Mercedes Benz of Laguna Niguel. Ask for salesman Kekoa. More
My wife and I were looking at a new C class mercedes. We drove to the dealership to look and test drive the vehicle to make sure we liked it before buying it. I have to say from the salesman Don to the sale drove to the dealership to look and test drive the vehicle to make sure we liked it before buying it. I have to say from the salesman Don to the sales manager Tim to the finance lady Gemma this dealership is really a professional first class organization. My sales guy Don was outstanding and really knew a lot about the vehicle. He gave us a lot of information and never once tried to pressure us into buying a vehicle. I really liked his overall laid back very formal approach to sales. It made my wife and I feel very comfortable in making a more informed decision to buy the vehicle. I also have to give kudos to the sales manager Tim. He made us feel like our business really mattered to this dealership and he made us feel like family. In my opinion, that helped seal the deal on us purchasing a car from this dealership. I would recommend this dealership to anyone whose looking to purchase a Mercedes Benz. It's our first, and I'm sure it will not be our last. More
This dealership is definitely a 5-star experience! After due diligence and inquiring with over 4 other dealerships, I chose to purchase my new E350 from MB San Diego. Despite their low online review rating due diligence and inquiring with over 4 other dealerships, I chose to purchase my new E350 from MB San Diego. Despite their low online review ratings, I am happy I gave them a chance to earn my business. My salesperson, Jim Jones, was outstanding. He went out of his way to provide top quality service, prompt communication, and very competitive pricing. He made the entire process from finding the right car, financing, explaining all the features, to picking up the vehicle quick and painless as ever. I preferred the 5 hour drive from Las Vegas, NV to San Diego rather than dealing with other dealerships in the SouthWest. If you're considering purchasing a Mercedes, ask for Jim Jones, he will exceed your expectations. More
I bought a used Mercedes Benz on 3/17/12 from another dealership and was told to take it to a Mercedes Benz dealership as they were unsure about the state of the running lights. I visited Mercedes Benz o dealership and was told to take it to a Mercedes Benz dealership as they were unsure about the state of the running lights. I visited Mercedes Benz of San Diego today (3/24/12) and two salesman asked how much money I had and then they would show me how to turn on the running lights. I told them I had $3.00 cash on me and they said they would take it, and promptly showed me that I needed to pull on the headlight knob. After this demonstration, one salesman asked for my car key and said he would show me "something cool" that the car does. I sat in the car and he shut me door, and held down the buttons on my car key. The car beeped and then nothing happened. When I reopened my door, he said that my windows should have rolled down, but they didn't. The second car salesman said the he hoped I didn't pay too much for the car. I left the dealership with my car, and when I parked it to lock it up and run into the store, the car wouldn't lock. I drove back to the dealership and was told it wasn't their problem the key no longer worked. The salesman tried to fix the key, sat in the car and tried again to no avail. Then he changed out the battery. Still not working. Finally, I asked for the Service Manager and was told he was out until Monday. I then asked for a Manager to make this situation right with my car. Robert O'Reilly came out and told me his salespeople were paid on commission and my car key issue wasn't their problem and to get off his property. I told him he needed to make this right, and he said he did not, nor did any of his sales people and to leave immediately. He gave me his business car and told me to feel free to escalate it, but nothing will be done about it and laughed. The original car salesman just stood there and said there was nothing he could do about it. "Just drive it around for a few days and see if it auto-corrects" or to take it back to where I bought it. I told him that he is responsible for fixing this, and he said it wasn't his problem. More
