Please rest assured that no one here lied to you. The DOT number on a tire identifies the plant where the tire was produced and the week and year it was manufactured. It is not unique to every tire, unlike a Vehicle Identification Number is unique to each vehicle. We have not yet returned the defective tire for warranty purposes and we can show it to you if you would like to see it. We apologize if you felt rushed with the paperwork to follow, but we were just trying to accommodate the tight schedule that you said you were on.
