Okay, hate writing reviews but I must do so for consumer awareness. I went to this dealership for service on my Mercedes Benz. Let me explain what happened here. I drove into service, consultant came out an awareness. I went to this dealership for service on my Mercedes Benz. Let me explain what happened here. I drove into service, consultant came out and asked me my name and knew of my appointment and asked me to wait in the lounge. I waited for him to bring me a document to sign such as an approval for them to do the requested work on my vehicle which never happened. I wanted one thing done only by the way. I waited over an hour thinking my vehicle was being worked on but later the consultant stated there was more things wrong with my vehicle and the service mechanic will be out to chat with me. The mechanic came out trying to tell me I needed a part for my suspension not knowing I just had that completely checked recently and had one part replaced. The mechanic also stated I needed another thing done which I didn't need but never said anything about what I actually took my vehicle there for. The whole hour and ten minutes I waiting for the requested repair only, it never happened because it was a low cost repair. The mechanic was looking at other area's of my vehicle the whole time trying to find other repairs he can say I need but there wasn't any, so he came up with a few that I didn't need not knowing I used to own a service department for 10-years and already had my vehicle in service elsewhere. Note; not a Mercedes manufacture dealer but a Mercedes certified mechanic shop where mechanics are Mercedes Certified for many years. After mentioned to him I had repairs recently done and didn't need what he stated I needed, the consultant and the service mechanic rushed my vehicle out of there garage so fast, it appeared to me as if they felt if we can't get him let's get him out of here immediately, and they did just that. Remember, I never seen any documents for my vehicle being taken in for them to look at or do what I requested to be done. I figure out why, no documents was put through there system, no survey they have to worry about. A survey is automatically generated once they put your vehicle in the system for a service request but not an appointment. The customer response on the survey can and will hurt the department and the dealership if its negative so they are very careful who and when they print it out. BEWARE..... If you visit this dealership for service, please make sure they give you a document that show your vehicle complete information, current miles, and what you have requested for them to service, then view/sign it, if you don't, I'm sure the same thing will happen to you if you refuse service. By the way, I went to another Certified Mercedes Service Center and had the repair done I originally was told couldn't be done because I needed other repairs, plus the other repairs that I was also told I needed I didn't. I have the receipt to show that it was checked and everything was fine, go figure right...... This review is not to be misunderstood, I'm not here to talk negative about this dealership but to inform the consumer what took place when I visited this fairly new built Hendrick Mercedes Dealership of Northlake in NC. This was my first experience with buying from a dealership, and I have to say it exceeded all expectations I could have expected. Every employee that worked with me, notably Garrett and Mathew, wer dealership, and I have to say it exceeded all expectations I could have expected. I am more than happy with my vehicle and everyone at the Hendrick dealership made the entire process very simple, understandable and personable. This dealership made us feel welcomed the moment Alton Crawford, our sales person, introduced himself. he was very knowledgeable about the brand and this particular vehicle. There was no hard sell, which at some dealerships, that is the case. he wanted to make sure we had all our questions answered and many more that we did not even think of. he really knows his product. Alton then took the time to introduce us to Zac Keener, who was helpful with our shopping at what I call the "goodies store". it was past closing and Zac took his time to explain everything in detail and was very personable. Then finally we had our time with Matt Derenthal. This was effortless, which is sometimes the stressful part of the purchase.....no one loves looking at the numbers...but you have to. I myself just like to see the shiny new cars! You all were above exceptional....thanks for making what sometimes can be a horrible experience to one that was pleasurable. We most certainly will be back when service time comes around even though we live in SC. You are a great group to deal with and we plan on sharing our praise with our friends...See you soon. More
Chad is great. He not only treated us with upmost respect and attention but also was extremely helpful. The process was smooth and quick. This is not the first Mercedes we own (and other luxury brands, Audi, BMW, Infiniti) but the service we got here was first class. Matt was also very attentive and helpful to complete the paperwork. He even remembered me when I visited Hendrick MB in Charlotte 3 years ago! I was impressed. He made all possible effort to smooth the process and his explanations were very comprehensive. It was definitely a five start (out of five) experience. More
