When I asked to for a sales associate she seemed annoyed and asked if I had an appointment. She found someone to come help us, seemed as if I should have been grateful they made the time. The sales associate came out and was initially attentive. Showed us two cars then ended up leaving saying he would "be right back" for another "preferred customer". I stood around for about 30 minutes and waited patiently. Finally he came back and went over details for the purchase of a vehicle. He under valued our trade-in, when I told him that he had a take it or leave it attitude. Maybe he didn't take me serious because I am a young professional, I didn't tell him my profession-a physician. I went to another Mercedes dealer and bought a car that same day. I was fairly annoyed with the experience. I would not recommend them. Disappointed with their service from the front desk to the sales department. Maybe they don't need new customers. Update: Looks like they thought the trade in value was the main or only problem (see their response below). The trade in value was not the main issue, it is the way we were treated. It didnt sit well that I was left for 30 minutes for a "preferred customer". If you have another appointment you should say so and have the courtesy to get another assoicate to assist. Also, your staff at the front desk did not greet us and in my opinion were rude. Good job ignoring the main issue and shifting the blame on the customer "We regret any inconvenience or disappointment that you experienced as a result of the condition of your vehicle" implying we were upset becasue of the trade in only, what a joke. Actually another dealership, a mercedes dealer, offered us 7k for it, which was fair value. The MAIN issue is not the trade in value offered, your customer service is the issue. If you guys were at least courteous I would have considered buying from you no matter the value of our trade in or the price of the car. Price can always be negotiated but when your associates are rude, inattentive, AND attempting to shaft me it was clear we shouldnt do business with Flemigton. here is their response: At Mercedes Benz of Flemington, it is, and always has been our goal to provide the best experience possible for our customers, whether they are purchasing or servicing their Mercedes Benz. The salesperson you dealt with has been with Mercedes Benz for over 30 years, and has a Stellar Record and near perfect survey ratings. Unfortunately there are occasions where we may not meet a customer’s expectations, such as the value of a trade in. In cases such as yours, where your vehicle had high mileage and had incurred significant damage and a mismatched repaint we cannot offer the same value as a vehicle that is in excellent condition. That is why we could only offer you $5000 for your vehicle instead of the $8000 you would have liked to receive. We regret any inconvenience or disappointment that you experienced as a result of the condition of your vehicle. More
