The dealer stated that this car was safe and had passed their safety inspection. However, on the way home, I discovered that the vehicle had a serious ABS issue. Later I found online that this problem has their safety inspection. However, on the way home, I discovered that the vehicle had a serious ABS issue. Later I found online that this problem has been documented by the NHTSA, acknowledged by Toyota, and associated with multiple incidents. In the video below, I show what I found — an internal brake fluid leak inside the ABS system. The upper part of the screen displays data from Toyota’s official Techstream diagnostic on my 2013 Prius (about 110,000 miles). The accumulator pressure keeps dropping while the pump repeatedly cycles to maintain it. You can also hear the ABS pump turning on and off as it struggles to hold pressure. They ignore a critical ABS defect, don’t fix it — just sell the car ‘AS IS’ to the next buyer! I was told the car has no defects and had ‘passed safety inspection,’ and that even if any error codes ap sell the car ‘AS IS’ to the next buyer! I was told the car has no defects and had ‘passed safety inspection,’ and that even if any error codes appeared, they were just ‘ghosts.’ On the way home, I noticed a constant hissing from the brakes and later confirmed an internal ABS leak using Toyota’s Diagnostic App. A quick Google search showed this exact defect has already been part of two NHTSA investigations, acknowledged by Toyota, and linked to multiple crashes. The dealer refused to fix it and only offered to trade it back — meaning they’ll just resell this unsafe car ‘AS IS’ to the next naive buyer. Their inspection does not guarantee safety, and their assurances cannot be trusted. Very helpful and professional sales people, and service desk. We came up to this dealer to test drive a vehicle. Unfortunately, the vehicle was very dirty and unbecoming of a Mercedes. However, we found another similar vehicle at another dealership out of state and within the dealers network so we bought it. The vehicle we received is in great condition and better than expected. So all in all that was about average. Had the vehicle we originally looked at then in the condition that was advertised we would be given five stars. However, the vehicle was in poor condition. I bought this vehicle and they said they inspected it. They said the vehicle was in good condition and good working order. That wasn't true. I had to do fifteen hundred dollars of repairs immediately afte They said the vehicle was in good condition and good working order. That wasn't true. I had to do fifteen hundred dollars of repairs immediately after I purchased the car. There were issues with the car such as a stuck caliper on the front left and an extremely low brake pad on the front left that they left unfixed. They did evaluate the vehicle and they noticed the issues but they covered it up. The sales person was pressuring me to not drive the vehicle too much and i did not get a chance to drive it on the frewway at speed. He didnt want me to go look at other vehicles and did not allow me a chance to look at other vehicles. The associate pressured me to buy this and not test.Drive other vehicles and then when the day came for me to purchase the car , he said don't rush in because he had other things to do and I had to purchase the vehicle without the associate. They knowingly put two new tires on the front of an all wheel drivedrive vehicle , so it had mismatch tires. Further, the tires were extremely different depths, so it would have caused damage to the all-wheel drive system. These are things that they knew were wrong with the car and that they purposely deceived me on. I had to take the car to a shop the next day after I purchased it. This is fraud because they had a mechanic look at it. They claim to be high level mechanics so they had to have seen it when they inspected the vehicle This was absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received. They were not happy with me and if anything hostile when I bought the vehicle because they were angry that I came when the associate wasn't there even though he had told me he would be there the day prior. He went and did some personal things instead of doing the deal and they just treated me really badly because of that even though I was spending twenty thousand dollars. These people are frauds and they cheated me knowingly. Their mechanic knowingly put out a vehicle that had a stuck brake caliper in the front and a low pad which could cause an accident. They knew these tires were going to cause systemic damage if I didn't replace them immediately. I HAD to replace them. Don't ever shop at this place. They fraudulently misrepresent the quality of their vehicles and if anything is wrong with them. There is no way you can justify the purchase of a vehicle if they cannot be trusted to be truthful about them. These are huge purchases. You should go to a reputable dealer who will be honest. These people would lie, cheat and steal to make a dollar without hesitation. They were hostile to me when I arrived to sign. More
