Hiding behind the name of Mercedes Benz of Atlantic City Inquired about an 07 Murano from Mercedes of Atlantic City on autotrader. Was sent to their secondary lot up the street by a salesman that said he wor Inquired about an 07 Murano from Mercedes of Atlantic City on autotrader. Was sent to their secondary lot up the street by a salesman that said he worked for the Mercedes dealership. Purchased the car in “as is” condition, knowing that some work was needed on the car, but was promised that the car had gone through service and inspection at the Mercedes dealership, which was stated on the carfax, and could not be sold if there were serious engine problems. Took the car to my mechanic after the purchase for what was supposed to be a break job and tune up, in which he deemed the car undrivable in its current state. As he was testing it the power steering went on it and he found there to be major transmission issues and a leaking head gasket. Car was never inspected in New Jersey, which he told me it wouldn’t pass now that the check engine light was on, and said a dealership should have to guarantee inspection of any vehicle they sell. When I presented this to the salesman Mike Dibrizzi, who was apparently not an employee of Mercedes Benz of Atlantic City but their side lot of junk cars Drive Park Ave., although they’re operating out of building with Mercedes signs and all their paperwork, was on Mercedes Benz letterhead, he told me I was stuck with the car, and I should have known better then to buy it. No, he should have known better then to sell the car!!! I know Mercedes Benz holds themselves to a high standard so I would have thought any company affiliated with them would do the same, but I was very wrong. These people are nothing but crooks, and I’m now stuck with a $5000 car I can’t even drive!!! More
