EXTREMELY POOR Customer Sales Service (Dealership Purchased my Vehicle a 2016 Mercedes Ben SL400) on Monday December 20, 2021 at approximately 9:30am with a fair price to me. I was generating a $9,0 Purchased my Vehicle a 2016 Mercedes Ben SL400) on Monday December 20, 2021 at approximately 9:30am with a fair price to me. I was generating a $9,047.47 positive equity business decision by selling the vehicle too Long Of Chattanooga TN and paying off an auto loan. Unfortunately the proper paperwork was not presented at the time of dealer purchase, so the dealer personnel had to drive 25 miles on Tuesday morning to my home to have my wife sign the Joint Title Ownership Documents. Then those documents were "Supposedly" sent to the Credit Union (Car Loan) for payoff, wrong NEVER sent by dealership. Credit Union never received anything other than a Payoff Amount Request. Call dealership to understand the process of electronic Title and Funds transfer was told it can take up to Twenty days, incorrect, it is an Electronic wire transfer almost Instantaneous funding. I spent over two hours on Thursday December 23, 2021 contacting the Credit Union, Long Mercedes Benz Dealership personnel and a third party company know as Dealer Track handling the escrow aspect. It came to find out the dealer (Long) or Dealer Track only requested a Payoff Dollar amount from the Credit Union, which was Step 1 (Called it "Perfected" step) of a four (4) Step process to initiate the process of Payoff Inquiry, Lien Search, Electronic Funding and Finally Electronic Title Transfer to said dealership. Unfortunately the dealership's Owner's son Allen Long (GM) started a heated discussion with me in the entire view and shouting distance of the showroom Sales Staff, Receptionists, Service Personnel, Customers and Potential Customers regarding this matter. He never Once tried to Diffuse the Situation and gain control by bringing the discussion into his office or to a Private Area, big mistake! After about two and a half hours the Owner (Mr. Nelson Long was contacted and agreed to handle the situation via a phone call to his son Allen. The entire Sale Transaction was then completed within a few minutes and I was presented with a Check in the correct amount from the dealership for the transaction. I proceeded to Cancel and NOT Reschedule two (2) service appointments I had for my 2012 Mercedes Benz ML350. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE LONG MERCEDES DEALERSHIP because of one Unprofessional individual, sorry, the dealership loses a customer as well as potential other clients or customers that I will relate my experience to.
