Billy Congers at McMahon Quality Pre-owned Ford is by far the best car salesman we have ever worked with. We rated this dealership so high because from start (inquiring online about the vehicle) to finish (g the best car salesman we have ever worked with. We rated this dealership so high because from start (inquiring online about the vehicle) to finish (getting repair work done), Billy & the other staff members treated us like family! They played with our children, explained every step of the process in layman's terms, and had us walk away with a great deal on a vehicle that is perfect for our family. Billy was readily accessible through multiple routes (email, text, phone) and responded to any questions or concerns quickly! We have already referred them to several family members and look forward to working with them again when our vehicle needs change! More

As a precursor to the review, I would like the readers to know that I did contact the individuals named in the review with a chance to reconcile the issues I am about to list via email. Unfortunately, I have know that I did contact the individuals named in the review with a chance to reconcile the issues I am about to list via email. Unfortunately, I have not received a response within 6 days. I did receive calls from a phone number matching the dealership's, but I am not sure who called since nobody left messages. First, regarding the used vehicle price and trade-in value: they said they use the NADA guide. However, per the NADA guide, Billy went $1500 below the NADA trade-in price on the car, basically saying the car was in the poorest condition, which it wasn't (2010 Corolla, 2-3 years old, 45,000 miles). This was expected, as all car salesmen low ball you at first. Then, he wouldn't budge on the used car price, until I showed him printout of a bad battery and damaged part on the car. I received this printout from a third party shop when I took the used car home for a day. He questioned the integrity of this shop (he did not know who they were), and I said if they'd put the car on the lift, I'd gladly point out the damage. He changed his mind and lowered the price on the car only then. Mind you, when we first met, he said they perform a "150 point inspection" on all used cars. Somehow, when I first test drove the car, the radio wouldn't power on. . .Turned out to be a fuse. Used car has 30,000 miles on it and the radio fuse blew; inspection didn't discover that. The inspection apparently didn't discover that the battery was bad either, so that isn't part of the inspection process. He admitted they left the car in the lot without driving it for months (car was on lot for 180 days per Billy). He never produced or offered to show me exactly what was inspected, so I have no reason to believe the car was ever inspected. When I "haggled" to receive the final price of the used car and trade-in, I asked that it be cleaned and detailed. Who wants to purchase a car for tens of thousands of dollars which someone else drove that is dirty inside? He agreed. When I ended up driving the car home that night, it was not clean nor detailed. During the financing, James had told us to "dirty up the car" and he would give it a thorough cleaning when I brought it back for emissions. Billy was unaware of this (0 communication among employees, read on). I asked this to be done as I was offered by Billy's manager, James. Before I brought the car in for emissions, I made a very conspicuous mark inside with dirt on the drivers side door. When I picked up the car that afternoon, not only was nothing cleaned, even after pointing out to Billy before dropping it off some places that were not clean, this mark still appeared when I picked it up. I understand clean is subjective, but everyone knows when a car is clean or not, and what it means to be detailed. In essence, Billy basically lied to me in person. Twice. I foolishly purchased the extended warranty. When I came in to get the emissions done (2 days later), I verbally requested to cancel the warranty. Billy said it would be "taken care of" and would reflect within three billing cycles, of which each cycle was 30 or 45 days. Keep in mind that I have 60 days to cancel the warranty with a full refund, if I do not have any claims (of which I do not have any). When I spoke with Derrick, the main financing rep, he said he was not aware of any request for cancellation of the warranty, nor that you or anyone else were involved (I pointed out to Derrick that I informed Billy. Again, 0 communication, or car salesmen lies, however you like word it). Whether someone else was taking care of it or not, he is the finance representative, and should be made aware/held accountable for something related to financing (I'm assuming that is the job role of a financing representative at McMahon Ford). To this day, I have no reasonable reassurance that the extended warranty has been cancelled other than car salesmens' word that it will be done. I contacted McMahon Ford, the main location in St Louis, and left messages with Randy and Ted (Fiance Manager and Used-Car Manager, not respectively). No one ever returned my call. I definitely was not given adequate time to read over the warranty contract, or most of the financing documentation, as I was being rushed to attend a sporting event. Multiple times I repeated that, at this time, the car situation was more important. I was given one key to the new car. I was offered and provided an extra FOB (which is not usable per Hyundai) after I complained, but no car should be sold at a dealership with one key. What if I were to get locked out or lost a key or broken? I was told by Billy that since "they only had one key, you get one key, and that's all you get." I felt that was a rude and poor way of handling this situation. The fan blower on the car was damaged, and I asked Billy to look at it. He said they did and found nothing. How can a dealership, who uses a "150 point inspection" as well as advertises their cars as "quality certified" fail to find and fix this issue? A Hyundai dealer was able to easily find and repair this issue after I took it for service, under warranty. Are Hyundai service representatives and technicians somehow more qualified and better at finding non-brand specific issues (i.e., not a Ford vs Hyundai issue, but an issue with a part all cars have) than McMahon's? And Apparently, McMahon's inspection doesn't include recall checks either, as the vehicle had a recalled part replaced. Lastly, I'd like to stress the issue with the battery again. The "150 point inspection" doesn't include checking the battery? Every auto parts retailer in the United States checks batteries for free and more importantly, extremely quick and with ease. I had it checked twice by a retailer, and a repair shop, and both found it to be bad. From this, the inspection seems more as a selling tool, than actual inspection, if a dealership cannot test for a bad battery. I'm not sure how others have rated this dealer highly; maybe they bought Ford cars. But from this experience, as far as I'm concerned, McMahon Ford as a whole will not take care of their customers after the sale, as well as lie to you during and after the sale. They do not have the customer in their best interest. These are the kinds of people that cause car salesmen in general to have bad reputations. I would not recommend purchasing a car or having their at serviced at this dealership or any McMahon Ford dealership based on my experinces More
Richard and James are great employees and you can genuinely tell they enjoy doing what they do. This is my second car I have bought from Richard and he is always there to help lower my payment and m genuinely tell they enjoy doing what they do. This is my second car I have bought from Richard and he is always there to help lower my payment and miles. He knew exactly what I wanted when I spoke with him. If there was anything I needed, he was there to provide me 100% satisfaction. He even emailed me a few days after buying the car asking about it, and also called me a week later to see if I needed anything else. They have been very helpful with anything I need. I highly recommend seeking Richard out for a new or used car, as he will go above and beyond to make sure you get the right fit. Thank you Richard! More
With a baby on the way in just a few weeks, it was time to find a vehicle more suited for hauling a little one around (and all the stuff that comes with them). I contacted Derric to help me find a used CR to find a vehicle more suited for hauling a little one around (and all the stuff that comes with them). I contacted Derric to help me find a used CRV, and he delivered! I got a great vehicle, in great condition with low miles at a very fair price. Not only did Derric help us with great professionalism and courtesy during the financing process, but Neal and all the other guys at McMahon were so friendly and helpful with every question we had along the way. I couldn't have asked for a better experience during this hectic time in our lives while preparing for a baby. The folks at McMahon were fantastic! More
I was in a car accident where, after a lot of fighting with the insurance company, my vehicle ended up being totaled. I was very upset because I absolutely LOVED my car. I contacted Richard Witkowski an with the insurance company, my vehicle ended up being totaled. I was very upset because I absolutely LOVED my car. I contacted Richard Witkowski and he assured me that we would find something else that I loved. The next morning I went to see him and test drove a few different cars, but I definitely wasn't sold on any of them. Later that evening he called me, very excited, because someone had just traded in something that was almost identical to what I had. I went and test drove it and bought it that night. It has been a few weeks now and he was right, I absolutely love it. And bonus....it's 2 years newer than my other car with half the miles! Thank you Richard for being on top of your game and knowing exactly what I was looking for!!! I definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a previously owned vehicle! More
