Drove into parking area, salesman came to the car and asked me not to drive into that area, I mentioned my daughter wanted me to check to see if the car she saw was still available, I then told the sales person that I will take our business elsewhere, and he said yes go somewhere else. Very poor customer service and I will be contacting the GM to discuss. I will never purchase anything from this dealer and I will let everyone I know to stay away as well. More

Very regrettably we did not see beforehand that the car was listed on Edmonds.com at a much lower price ($16,900) than was posted on the windshield ($18,100). The final sales price was $17,600--well above the online listed price. Not only was the whole sales experience lengthy, (6+ hours) and exhausting, but it appears we were victims of deceitful practices and false advertising. I have already started telling others to check Edmonds.com before buying any car- new or used - and to definitely steer away from this dealership. I did email them to ask for an explanation if one existed before I posted a negative review but, no surprise, no one responded. Read other reviews about McKenna so that if you do still go in, you will be armed with more information. Also, I noticed how many negative reviews have continued to be written for quite a long time. Apparently, they either don't read them or don't care More
After searching 2014 Jetta SE-auto prices, literally nationwide, I had a totally random thought (if randomness is possible), namely to reach the VW dealership in Cerritos, McKenna VW. I was car hunting nationwide, I had a totally random thought (if randomness is possible), namely to reach the VW dealership in Cerritos, McKenna VW. I was car hunting for my mom, and, actually, on that very day, we were literally geared up (pun) to drive to SLC and Dallas, for the car, as we couldn't quite get the deal--the price near invoice--we sought. When I called McKenna, Phil Mullins answered. Instead of the usual "why don't you come in and we'll work out a deal" treatment that so many VW dealerships had shoveled me, Phil gave us an incredible price, found the car with the exact color scheme, and did so at the same or lower price than those distant dealers. Within 10 minutes of calling him, he e-mailed me a formal written proposal with a real price that we agreed to. Yes, we were quite aware of dealer fees, true invoice on the car, and after looking nationwide on internet search engines, with the whole country at our disposal, Phil beat everyone's price handily, with only one dealer matching his pricing. The McKenna people knew that we were coming from Oxnard. When we arrived, they had the car in the showroom, polished, and ready to go. No surprises, gimmickry or the like was/were presented. Just the car. Some of the staff from the earlier ownership did pressure us some to buy some extended warranties. I recommend that you just buy the car, and if you still can't sleep knowing that you bought a German car made by Mexicans, purchase the 100k mile extended warranty for around $1,800. Their service department, when we took the car there, was quite attentive, as well. I liked her car so much that I went out and bought a Golf TDI 2-door. If the dealership can't give you an out-the-door price when you first call them, like McKenna does, just keep calling around. More

They were highly knowledgeable with relation to products, services, and financing. It only took a short period of time to realize this was a team of professionals, set on course to make car buying an experience that will generate a strong reputation and repeat business, not a task that most consumers turn away from. Great execution McKenna Volkswagen! Thank you for everything! More
I was a first time buyer with a tight budget. I knew what I wanted down to the very color. This was actually the second car in 3 weeks my family will have purchased. I give thanks to barbara and the G what I wanted down to the very color. This was actually the second car in 3 weeks my family will have purchased. I give thanks to barbara and the GM that was there because I left knowing I got a great deal on a 2013 car. Anyway.. I went back for my car solely because of the great customer service we received on the first car. More
I called once and I asked price for 50K service on my Golf and Paul (service advisor) told me $205.00 I asked him to send me this quote by email and he'll tell you he can not do that because he needs to Golf and Paul (service advisor) told me $205.00 I asked him to send me this quote by email and he'll tell you he can not do that because he needs to open a repair order (which is a BS) Story goes on, I called back after 30 minutes and I talked to Rick (service advisor) and he gave me a price of $255.00 an the same 50K service. I told him I got an earlier quote from Paul for $205 and he'll tell you (the customer) you did not understand it correct over the phone. (an other BS) So people, don not go for service tho this ripoff dealership, they just had remodeled their building and they need more money from honest people to cover the expenses. Go to Timmons VW, Pacific VW, Garden Grove VW George S. More
I had the worst experience with McKenna VW of Cerritos. First, they sold me a pre-owned certified vehicle with 115 points inspection that had over $7,000 in body work repair. How do I know that? Because First, they sold me a pre-owned certified vehicle with 115 points inspection that had over $7,000 in body work repair. How do I know that? Because the previous owner left the actual repair invoice in the globe compartment. I tried to resolve the matter with McKenna, but of course, they would not return my calls unless I am in the market to purchase a car. Therefore, I had no choice but to contact a lemon law attorney office. They told me that I had a case and they were going to help me. However, I decided to give them a last chance to make it right and sent the GM at McKenna an email. I told him that if I don't hear back from him within the day, I was going to take it up with the lawyer. And guess what, I got a call immediately. Yes, you need to tell them that you will get a legal representation if you want them to call you. And in their defense, the Director of pre-owned department took care of the matter, and I got a replacement VW and I thought everything was good. Until nighmare No. 2 started. It has been 3 months and I still don't have the registraition, sticker, nor title of the vehicle (I paid in full). I called several times to Finance, but of course, I am not in the market to buy a car, so NO RETURN CALLS!!!!!!! Finally, I decided to drive from Chino to the dealership to speak personally. As I am very upset with the dealer, I first speak with the pre-owned VW manager. I told him that I can't trust McKenna to do the proper DMV paper work so I was going to drive to AAA and get it done myself and get the sticker. Therefore, I requested a refund of $80 (DMV documentation fee I paid when I purchase the car). He told me that was not an option. Whether they did the paper work correctly or not, they process my paper work so they deserve to be paid. See another case below who took him 5 months of ordeal to get his title: Tad123456789 Reason For Visit: Sales (New) I Recommend This Dealer: No Employee(s) Dealt With: David J Choi My Review Of McKenna Volkswagen Cerritos: Frustrating experience - they do not know how to do the paperwork and once you pay, they don’t care about the mess they caused. I bought there a new VW and everything looked OK. After 2 months I realized that I did not get my certificate of title (pink slip). I checked at DMV and found that those guys messed the paperwork so my car was owned by a bank (that was not the only mistake). I have been calling them dozens of times leaving messages for different people but nobody bothered. It took me 3 weeks to get them interested in my case. They promised to solve it but nothing happened for next month. When I asked, they never knew the status and always promised to call me next day and then haven’t called at all. Finally I’ve contacted the dealership owner to get some progress. It’s been 5 months since purchase and I finally got papers but it cost me a lot of time and effort. So, as you can see they have not concept of what customer service mean. Oh, by the way, I was even threaten to escort me out of the building by the finance person if I don't lower my voice and that I was being un-professional. I had to waste 3 hours of my time driving back and for from Chino to Cerritos and dealing with them. Who would not be upset???!!! And, the general manager did not even bother coming to see what was happening. He was just sitting comfortably in his chair. Imaging if you were there to purchase a car, I guarantee you that the General Manager would have come at one point to shake your hands, and say Hi. I will do my best to share my experince at McKenna VW Cerritos via the web and personally with everyone that I know. And, if I have can stop one future VW purchaser from going to McKenna, then, I have accomplished my mission. But, that's ok for McKenna because they save $80. More
