My 2003 CL has been serviced at McGrath Acura Morton Grove from the beginning. I have always been greeted in a friendly and professional manner. My service rep. There is nothing elegant or pleasant about buying a used, oops....previously owned car. Unlike purchasing a new car, where every dealer is selling EXACTLY the same thing and internet transparency levels the oops....previously owned car. Unlike purchasing a new car, where every dealer is selling EXACTLY the same thing and internet transparency levels the playing field, every used car is different. Buyer beware. The customer is forced to trade-off condition of the car (what you can and cannot see), the value of a certified car, mileage, model year, color preferences (interior and exterior), important options (such as navigation), the value of your time in running from dealer to dealer (since each car must be inspected)...and...the value of your trade in. The textbook is correct when it says do not fall in love with a particular used car and know the value of your trade-in. Acura.com and CarMax are two good sources to help frame the range of what is a "fair deal" on the value of a car and value of trade if negotiating with a dealership. It is absolutely no surprise that CarMax is one of the best performing companies (and stocks) given their amazing selection, no-haggle price policy and pristine reputation. McGrath Acura of Morton Grove has one of the better selections of previously owned and certified Acuras in the Chicago area. The salesman, Steven, was very professional and straightforward, and the process of purchasing a car involved the typical (some might find it entertaining or a non work-related challenge ... most will not) back and forth typical of a negotiating process. The salesman I worked with was very rude by commenting on my marital status and not helpful at all. Unfortunately, I did not get his name because I felt insulted and got lost. First it's important to note that we had a terrible experience at Muller Acura in Schaumburg. Next, we decided to give MCGRATH Acura in Morton Grove a try.
