I went into to have the thermostat replaced. I was told that it was covered under my extended warranty that I bought. I went to pick up the car and the bill was $81. I asked the Service Manager what this w that it was covered under my extended warranty that I bought. I went to pick up the car and the bill was $81. I asked the Service Manager what this was for and he told me he didn't know. I asked him 3 times and he couldn't explain the charge. He finally said "I don't know" for the 4th time and turned around and walked away from me!! He was the one that I had originally talked to about this. He told me what a great warranty I had got and that there would be no charge. At no point did anyone call me and tell me they were replacing other parts. I DID NOT ask for other service other than my thermostat. I used to work in a car dealership and I know how these departments work. Another thing that bothers me about this dealership is that after you have service done, they have sheet of paper on your bill telling you if you rate them as excellent, you'll get a free oil change. I think that is wrong. I will never trust them again. Unfortunately, they are the closest dealership for service. More
Dealer failed twice to get the desired car through dealer swaps - the price of the car was $500 below the closest low bid. On the second attempt to get the desired car the dealer told us that the manufactur swaps - the price of the car was $500 below the closest low bid. On the second attempt to get the desired car the dealer told us that the manufacturer's finance offer for 3.9% was approved and we could pick up the car in 2 days. On the evening before we were to take delivery on the car the sales person informed us via email that they could not get the car. We responded that we were very disappointed and wanted to know what the dealer was going to do to make things right. The sales person replied that he would get back to us - he never did. We purchased a car at another dealer. When the new dealer submitted our request for finance to the manufacturer it was revealed that the the Route 2 dealer had NOT even filed our application for finance with the manufacturer. They low ball, bait and switch, and try to up-sell. More
I had a 2005 Elantra that I never had problems with that I purchased here. So, when I needed another car with 4 wheel drive for my new job, I went here first. The salesman told me that he would not talk num I purchased here. So, when I needed another car with 4 wheel drive for my new job, I went here first. The salesman told me that he would not talk numbers unless I was seriously going to buy it. I should have left then. I then signed papers and waited for over 3 hours without anyone coming over and telling me what we were waiting for. I finally left and said I would be back the following day to get the used Tucson. When returning the next day, I was handed keys and sent on my way. No one took the time to show me how anything in the car worked! I drove this car for a few months when it began to make a squealing noise when I backed up. I brought it to their service department and paid $300 for new brakes and rotors. The noise returned again within 2 weeks. So, I brought it back and was told that something completely different was wrong. This continued for months and I was back there every other week, where they always told me something else was wrong and that I should not worry because it is not a safety concern. How can they say this when they can't figure out what it is? My final straw was when I brought it to another mechanic who looked at it and said there was rust build up that was just going to keep coming back and that there was no way RT 2 did not know this. I finally went to another dealership and got rid of the Tucson. I am very glad that I do not ever have to go back there! I just regret that I let this go on for so long. More

I accompanied my relative (Loretta Carroll) to look at and price a new Elantra because she was ready to trade her 2002 Elantra for a new car. We had heard glowing recommendations about Route 2 Hyundai and and price a new Elantra because she was ready to trade her 2002 Elantra for a new car. We had heard glowing recommendations about Route 2 Hyundai and therefore Route 2 was the first dealership that we planned to visit. The moment we stepped out of her car at the dealership, Mark Casavant approached us in a very professional and friendly manner and offered assistance. Both Loretta and myself felt very comfortable right from the start. Mark was knowledgeable and supremely professional. More importantly, Mark did not put any pressure on us and agreed the he would give us the absolutely best deal possible. We had explained that out intent was to compare prices at other dealerships and that there would be no immediate sale that day. Mark was fine with that and still treated us as fairly and professionally and courteously as possible. The long and short of this review is that most customers shopping for a new car are already primed to not trust a salesman..... Mark proved that wrong. He was honest, helpful, friendly, and more importantly, the winner! My cousin bought the car and walked away feeling more than satisfied with the deal! Thank you Mark Casavant - Route 2 Hyundai is lucky to have such a professional saleman on their staff. More
As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, Brian came out and greeted us and asked us how he could help. I was torn between a new Tucson or a new Santa Fe and Brian had no problem letting me drive them both and greeted us and asked us how he could help. I was torn between a new Tucson or a new Santa Fe and Brian had no problem letting me drive them both. When I decided on the Santa Fe, it was time to talk numbers. My husband and I told Brian what we were willing to pay. After a few back and forths, Brian got us a monthly payment that we are comfortable with and I was able to drive my new car away that same day. Brian went over all of the equipment and made sure to answer all of our questions. I love my new car! More
I communicated through email with Scott Menard regarding purchasing a new Hyundai Santa Fe. Scott was condescending and make some interesting statements in his emails. One comment he made was "If that is purchasing a new Hyundai Santa Fe. Scott was condescending and make some interesting statements in his emails. One comment he made was "If that is your offer how would you like me to do that for you???" and another was "Where did you come up with that ??????????????? I wish it was like that!!!!!!!" As you can see, Scott likes his ? and ! keys. If he had been professional and a mature in his dealings, I would have purchased the vehicle through this dealership. I expected factual and at least courteous replies, but got snide remarks instead. I guess they let the youngest sales person handle the Internet transactions because he is good with computers. More
I had a great experience buying from Route 2 Hyundai! In the end, they stuck to the price they originally quoted me, and found me a car with the exact specifications I wanted (although they did need to add around $200 to transport it, they were upfront about that charge from the beginning). Everyone I dealt with was friendly, honest, and professional. The delivery process was smooth and quick. I'll definitely consider them first the next time I need to buy a new car! More
