My last visit to have my 2002 F-150 repaired was successful and I had a great experience; except for some of the prices. I left with an $1155.00 invoice for replacing an alternator, a cruise control successful and I had a great experience; except for some of the prices. I left with an $1155.00 invoice for replacing an alternator, a cruise control disengage switch and a computer that controlled the cruise control and several other options. The dealership was unable to repair my F-150 the day I brought it in due to not having parts in stock so they paid for a rental car for me to use for 24 hours. I was very appreciative of this effort. The service writer was most knowledgeable and understood the customer's point of view. He provided me with the phone number of Ford's customer care line as I was upset due to the fact that Ford had a recall on the speed control disengagement switch located near the brake fluid reservoir and since I had already had the truck into the dealer in the past to address the recall, Ford would not pay for replacing a leaking disengagement switch that has been known to catch on fire under the hood. I spent over an hour on the phone with Ford and they still refused to pay for a $20 switch replacement that was involved in the nationwide recall. I can't fault the dealership for anything except charging very high prices for parts and labor. More
Customer service is an essential factor when finding a dealership in my book. I’ve been to a few dealerships within my area and I didn’t really get 100%. "Hands-off" transaction. Did not have to waste time sitting at the dealership while prices were worked out. Picked out the car I wanted, took it to show my wife, came back and took about twenty mi time sitting at the dealership while prices were worked out. I was looking for a dealership close by & had always passed by it then remembered it when I was in need of a new pre-owned car. I stopped in after work (about 5:30 pm) & drove up to the front office doo passed by it then remembered it when I was in need of a new pre-owned car. I stopped in after work (about 5:30 pm) & drove up to the front office doors where I was greeted by Ron Roberts who just seemed to be waiting for someone. He is new to the company & will soon be an asset to them as well w/ his continued "above & beyond service to want to help". I breifly let him know my limits of cost, monthly payment & available money down - we then started to look at cars he had in mind. He took me to about 7 cars / SUV's w/in my price range & found a ford fusion i was interested in. We then started a walk up towards the front to get things ready for a test drive when we paseed a black Mercedes. I was just curious & asked him how much & he said "WOW! it in your price range...". I never believed I would be the owner of a Mercedes. But "Poof" - I'm proof that anything can happen w/ a little faith & a salesman who cares about what one is looking for.
