After being turned down by numerous car dealerships I went into McCluskey Chevrolet. I was informed of an option to obtain a vehicle. It was a great plan and I gladly accepted. Our family was searching for a used vehicle that would comfortably seat 5 people and had to be economical on gas. We went to several car dealerships in the area and was not able to find a car that met ou comfortably seat 5 people and had to be economical on gas. Also, almost every other dealership did not provide friendly service. I worked with Ken Frakes. This is the third personal visit to him. This visit was for my Mother. She has credit to buy whatever she wants. She wanted a newer car. Upon trade in she had a clear tit visit to him. This visit was for my Mother. She has credit to buy whatever she wants. She wanted a newer car. Upon trade in she had a clear title of a Cadillac. Nice. Well maintained. Complete service history with Thompson McConnell Cadillac. She could have gone back to them but I asked her to let me find her a vehicle. I went back to McCluskey to see Ken Frakes. He has always given me a fair deal. I have sent a few friends to him but they were intercepted. All bought cars but for some reason only had my name on the deal. Anyhow, I still liked his service. When others blew me off, he was always positive and would say just let me see what I can do. Ken gave me great customer service. There was a problem while completing the deal. After taking the car for a demo, I decided to proceed with the completion of the paperwork. The deal was on the table. Then a young whipper snapper came in to say that he had a customer that wants to demo the car. I told him it was sold and no way! He walked off and came back in 2 minutes and grabbed the keys anyway. Say that he was just going to show it to him. He left the dealership with the car! How disrespectful was that! I felt like calling the deal completely off! My mom still wants her Cadillac back. It made her even angrier than it made me!. After stewing over it for a couple weeks, I finally could not let it go any longer. I called Keith McCluskey. Left him a message. I had no idea what would be done. I asked that he apologize to my self and my mother. We both feel that he was out of line and totally disrespectful to me. Personally I felt racially discriminated! I doubt he would have done that to a white woman. But I didn't say anything like that on the Voicemail. But to my surprise, the very next morning I received a call from my salesman, Ken Frakes. The dealership and he went way above to make me happier. I don't know if it is good to put in this, but just know they took care of this lady and her aging mother. We are happier that this has been brought to the attention of the dealership and hope it will be used as a training tool for future sales reps of what "NOT" to do to customers. I talked with Karen Shepherd letting her know that I was interest in a new jetstream blue corvette. She did not have this color on her lot. She advised me that she would be able to locate one for me in a v interest in a new jetstream blue corvette. She did not have this color on her lot. She advised me that she would be able to locate one for me in a veery short period of time ... less than 24 hours later I get a call from Karen saying she has located one outside of Detroit and that she would be able to get it for me by the next day. I agreed and they sent a driver up to get it. The following day Karen called and told me my new covette was in and that I could come out and pick it up. I let her know when I would be able to come out and she said it would be ready when Igot there. As I pulled up to the showroom ... guess what? There it was ... my new jetstream corvette. I had only spoken to Karen on the phone so I didn't know what she looked like. I ask afor Karen and was taken to her office. Im had brought my little dog Sneaker out with me. The first thing she asked was did either Sneaker or myself want anything to drink. She brought me a cold drink and Sneaker a bowl of water which he really wanted. Then we got down to business. Karen was very professional and friendly. She was not pushy, but straight to the point by in my opinion, being very honest and knowledgeable about my new car. I feel that she gave me excellant service. She fell in love with my little dog Sneaker. She filled out the paperwork and even thought I was paying cash for my new corvette I had to go to the credit department to finish up. Karen offered to watch and rtake care of Sneaker while I was gone. I looked outside and saw Keren taking Sneaker for a walk ... I knew she had to be a great lady if she took care of my dog as well as she did, I thought to myself if she takes that much time, effort, and helpful with him ... how excellant is she going to treat and take care of me and my new corvette. To make a log stoty short I feel to be extreamly satisfied with the way Karen handled my transaction and also my little dog. Since the we have stayed in touch and I feel that not only did she sell me a new car but I developed a new friend in Karen. I was very satisfied with Karen and would not hesitate in recommending her to any of my friends and would come back to her when I am ready forr another new car ... also I know that my dog Sneaker would recommend her.
