Sales person was great, helpful and nice. I bought a car but then financing came around. I did say I didn't want these things to the sales person who was going back and forth but somehow ended up with them. I went home and reviewed my contact, there are missing pages, I don't have my APR listed anywhere on the papers I have. I called to cancel the 2 optional items they put on my contract and was accused of waking up angry on Easter morning.. so this part soured my experience and now I'm upset and truly reviewing every little thing on the contract. Mostly my mistake that I trusted Mazda of Salem to be Fair and honest, but that's how it goes I guess.. More
I don’t think 5 stars is enough to describe how amazing of an experience I had today at Salem Mazda. I worked with Mario and he was fantastic. We went in originally to look at a different vehicle. She showed us a new 2026 Mazda CX-5 S Premium that had just come in overnight and we ended up purchasing it. We are very happy with it. The 5 stars are because of Sofia and Mazda’s quality. One disappointment we had was I had printed out a certificate that was on the Salem Mazda website that said $500 off on any new car purchase. There were no conditions other than that, such as financing, trade ins, etc. Just $500 off any new car purchase. When I presented that certificate the dealership management refused to honor it. Ours was a cash sale with no trade-in so a quick and easy transaction. That was a disappointment and if not for Sofia’s professionalism would have made my review less than 5 stars. So, bottom line is… this is our second Mazda CX-5 and they are great cars. If you go to Salem Mazda work with Sofia! However don’t necessarily depend on the dealership's management honoring their certificates or promotions. More
I was very happy to work with Saul at Salem PreOwned for the purchase of my CX-5. He was patient and worked within my budget to help me secure a better interest rate on my financing than I had from my own b the purchase of my CX-5. I initially came to Mazda of Salem for a different vehicle that I found online, but the truck I had looked at sold before I could arrive. My drive down from Washington state took about 5 hours, and I vehicle that I found online, but the truck I had looked at sold before I could arrive. My drive down from Washington state took about 5 hours, and I missed a call from the dealership asking whether it was me or not. Needless to say I arrived to find the truck sold, but the staff were ready to help me find something comparable to meet my specific needs in a truck. We took a drive around the lot, looked a t a few different trucks and settled on one within my price range to test drive. I am was very thorough with my inspections of the vehicle inside and out, and I have to say I was impressed with the level of professionalism Ivan Gutierrez, the salesman working with me, displayed. He refused to be pushy or overbearing, and was more than willing to either answer or find the answers to any questions I had regarding vehicle history, what the inspection and maintenence standards were for any vehicle which arrives at this dealership, and I have to say as well that they do their due diligence in verifying the integrity of every vehicle on their lot. As for the buying process, I was pleasantly surprised at how willing to negotiate the sales team was. I was pretty hard and fast on my budget, and they were very accommodating especially considering the drive I made to see a truck that sold mere minutes before I arrived. Once again I cannot sing Ivan’s praises enough, as he went to bat for me and my family several times when it came down to what price point would work for my family. They ensured we had a vehicle that would keep us safe and take us everywhere we need to go, and I would recommend asking for Ivan any time you come to visit. Additionally Ivan has checked in with me a time or two since purchasing the truck, ensuring to keep an open-door policy in case we run into any unforeseen issues. All in all I would strongly suggest you at least tour around Mazda of Salem for any make or model of car, used or new, before trying anywhere else. These people are just that: people. They have a job to do, but see it more as a duty to customer service than a simple biweekly paycheck. If you want to work with someone who will see you as more than a customer, you found the right place. More
