Dear "Tough Sell" First and foremost, I would like to apologize on behalf of the dealership for the "run-a-around" experience you witnessed here. Just to let you know our dealership has never and will never allow for a bait & switch type of transaction. It is unethical and we have built our business on years and years of repeat customers. After considerable research as to what evolved during your visit and the car that you were interested in and possibly purchase we scanned our website and found that the inventory has not being updated on a regular basis. Just to be clear we found in many cases that cars we know were sold were still being shown on our website. After consulting with not one, but several of the web providers we found that they were getting a delay in the nightly "feed" up to several days. So consequently the vehicle that you spoke with John and made an appointment to see was sold, unbeknownst to him and us the system was not updated. It is impossible to put a "hand" on every CPO vehicle on our lot and that is the main reason that these web providers used by all dealership must be accurate. Unfortunately, all is not 100% foolproof with technology. That being said, however, does not excuse some of the behavior you witnessed and we have addressed that with upper management and again I apologize. I would like to speak with you personally and ask that you consider giving me a second chance to make this right. I would like you to come into Maxon to meet with me and my General Sales Manager, Albert Valdez. He has assured me he will offer you a great vehicle at a great price. I look forward to hearing from.
