Wont honor any warranty I purchased a Ford Mustang from Mathews currie Ford in nokomis Florida. While driving one day on u.s. 41 my car shut off and it was really hard to ste I purchased a Ford Mustang from Mathews currie Ford in nokomis Florida. While driving one day on u.s. 41 my car shut off and it was really hard to steer the car to the side of the road safely without causing an accident as no power worked including my hazard lights or turn signals. My car would not start. When i opened the hood to take a look I discovered that there was a hole in the battery and was leaking acid and that it had leaked so much, that it completely corroded the metal terminal and has done damage to near by engine components. I have spoken with the dealership and they refuse to replace the battery and the necessary parts. They quoted me almost $800 in repairs. It is under warranty. The battery is less than 2 years old. I have pictures and docements of proof. They tried to tell me they have no idea where the battery came from, well its a ford battery that came in my vehicle that was purchased from a ford dealership and the battery it even says "mathews currie ford" right on it. They said since i dont have a receipt for the battery there is nothing they can do for me. Well i have a receipt for a whole car i purchased from them. I even called ford corporate twice, they said its up to the dealership. So needless to say i will not be purchasing anything from mathews currie ford ever again. And i will advise all my friends and family to stay away. More
