Everyone at Marina del Rey Toyota did a fantastic job in helping me decide to buy the car I decided to go with. They spent the time giving me the best options for what I wanted. There was no pressure, no ru helping me decide to buy the car I decided to go with. They spent the time giving me the best options for what I wanted. There was no pressure, no rushing, and no trying to get me to spend more than I needed. And when I decided that I was getting more than I could handle financially, they were very helpful in cutting the price to a level that I was more comfortable with. In every respect, they were helpful, informative, and very friendly. Great job in every respect!!! More
DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM TOYOTA OF MARINA DEL REY…HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Earlier this week I saw a car I wanted to buy on the MDR dealership website so I called to inquire. It was the last REY…HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Earlier this week I saw a car I wanted to buy on the MDR dealership website so I called to inquire. It was the last day of the month and I spoke to Kim, their scheduling director. I explained my situation that I live on the other side of town and can only come down if they work with me on a lowering price to my budget. Kim profusely assured that they would work with me, “It’s the end of the month and they want to move these cars off the lot. The only way to get a deal was to visit the showroom today”. I asked three times including twice-on text to which Kim once again confirmed they could work with me on price. The drive from my house to the dealership is an average of 45 minutes without traffic…but we were going in the middle of the day, which meant we would definitely hit LA rush hour on the way home. When I got there I test-drove the car I wanted but saw two other cars I was interested in and ended up liking the original car I came out to purchase. These two cars were slightly higher in price but the sales rep said they would work with me since I didn’t expect to like them. After spending 3 hours with the sales rep the branch manager Chuck came out and refused to come down on price at all. He talked in circles and gave me a lot of excess information I didn’t need to know and avoided offering up any counter offer. I explained that I am ready to purchase today in cash or finance but he wouldn’t budge or offer to find me another car in my price range. It felt slimy and a bait and switch situation. I would have understood if they came back with a lower price and it was still out of my price range but they didn’t budge at all or try to revisit the first car I was looking at. One of the cars I wanted to purchase was on the lot for 41 days and they still didn’t want to sell it. Overall MDR Toyota will waste your time, have dishonest customer reps to bring you into the showroom, and won’t work with their clients on pricing. I’m very disappointed in the way I was treated as I have owned and loved my Toyota experience in the past from other dealerships. More
For more than 8 years, I’ve been a loyal Toyota customer, but I never had such a pitiful experience like the one I had and still having with this dealership!!! Last March, I decided to trade my RAV4 2019 for but I never had such a pitiful experience like the one I had and still having with this dealership!!! Last March, I decided to trade my RAV4 2019 for a smaller and gas saving vehicle due to the high gas prices, for my disgrace, I decided to go to Marina Del Rey Toyota, where I met a salesman named Rudy, who offered me a Toyota Corolla Hatchback, assuring that that car performance was 400 miles per tank and that it would be the best option to save money in gas (the first lie) also my RAV4 had a DashCam installed and he offered to remove it and install it in the new Corolla Hatchback for free if I made the deal (The second lie). Well, I trusted him and decided to take what he was offering me. Then after I signed the contract he asked me to come back the next day to install my DashCam, what a surprise, the next morning he texted me telling that he wouldn’t be able to install the DashCam because their service department was not allowed to do it!!!! Then, why the xxxx did he offer to do it??? But, ok, I didn’t complain about that, a week later when I had to fill the fuel tank I noticed that the car was only performing 380 miles per tank so I called Rudy to ask him why was that happening, he suggested me to fill the tank until the gas spilled so I did it but it didn’t work, since then I noticed that every time I had to recharge the fuel tank the performance was less and less, so I made an appointment during the first 30 days I got the vehicle, to check the fuel tank but the first time I took my car for this problem they wanted me to pay but I said No because I was on the first 30 days so the revision should have been done for free but they refused to do it, since then I have been there more than six times asking for help but every time I wasted my time because they didn’t want to check my car. Today my vehicle performance is less than 260 miles per tank so I am spending a lot of money on gas!!!! A month ago was the last time I was there, I talked to Mario (the manager) and also I spoke with Joy Anderson (the Client Relations Manager) they asked me to do a gas log for the next three times I had to refuel the tank so I did it and I sent it to Joy via email with the respective pictures as evidence, she quickly and kindly answered me telling that the next day she would get together with the Service Director in the morning and would get back to me… It’s been a week already since then and she hasn’t written or called me back, they definitely don’t care about their customers’ needs!!!! I am very frustrated, mad and disappointed!!! Please, don’t go to this dealership! More
This dealership does a great job with meeting your needs and doing the best to make sure that the car you are looking to buy is at its best. Do not buy a True Start Battery from Marina Del Ray Toyota. The parts manager, (Juan Cortez) does not honor the warranty nor does he prorate the battery. Mr. Juan Cortez is precisely why formal complaints are filed and followed up by a lawsuit. This was my worst experience ever at a Toyota dealership. More
