Not a lot of confidence in this crew Yesterday was a comedy (not) of errors by the front desk that makes me wonder if I shouldn’t make the trek to Grand Rapids for service. A couple of m Yesterday was a comedy (not) of errors by the front desk that makes me wonder if I shouldn’t make the trek to Grand Rapids for service. A couple of minutes after sitting in the waiting room, I was summoned by the guy who checked me in. There was, he said, an “incident” with my car. While driving it to the staging area, the mechanic scraped the passenger door against the bumper of another car. He showed me the damage, which was pretty bad. A new door would be required, and of course they would take care of everything. Not the end of the world, but certainly aggravating. Flash forward a couple of hours. I had left the car there while running errands with my husband. I get a call from the same check in guy, who broke it to me that oh, gee, it wasn’t actually MY car that was damaged, it was a different car that was the same make, model and color. While that was a relief, he told me it belonged to a very nice woman I had been chatting with in the waiting room. Ooooh boy, I said, she is not going to be happy with you - she had already been telling me that she did like this place and wished she could go elsewhere. He apologized profusely, but geez, come on. A final little minor glitch....he gave me my keys, and pointed to a car outside, saying it was mine. I stood outside, clicking my key fob buttons, but no lights went on. I could hear the little beep, but not from this car. I looked way down the row, and there was my car. Yes, the are hundreds of red Subaru Outbacks out there that look the same. You need to excercise more care in distinguishing between them. This is sloppiness that erodes confidence. I think I’ll take a drive to Grand Rapids next time to see if they’re any better. More

Difficult to schedule & inefficient A few examples: 1) SCHEDULING - I have called and been seen for a check engine light 4 times in the past 5 months and each appointment was booked A few examples: 1) SCHEDULING - I have called and been seen for a check engine light 4 times in the past 5 months and each appointment was booked 4 to 6 weeks due to the shops availability. I was most recently seen on 2/27 and have to come back for a part replacement which had to be ordered and the “next available” appointment was for early April. Every appointment has been like that and that is unacceptable. 2) INEFFICIENT CLIENT/SHOP MANAGEMENT - Five months ago in September I asked the shop to look at my washer spray pattern because I did not believe it was working correctly they diagnosed the problem as a bad nozzle and said they ordered and it would arrive within a week and then call me to schedule his insulation. After numerous calls and 3 subsequent appointments for other issues I was told each time that it would be taken care of and each of the three visits yielded no correct of action. I was ultimately told that the part was either never ordered, ordered and missed placed, or ordered and used on another vehicle. 5 months later during my 2/27 visit I was told that the nozzles were replaced. There is no visible difference post replacement/repair. Either they were not replaced or the root cause was incorrectly identified. 3) I have had a reoccurring check engine light checked 4 times in a 5 month period on a 2018 vehicle! Not acceptable and despite asking why am I having these issues on a brand new vehicle with leas than 12k miles no one is making any connections or links at the root cause. This is unacceptable service and reliablity for a >$70,000 car! More
