I own 3 Toyotas and have them serviced previously independently (which was not a great experience) - I have worked on different cars since High School Auto shop, I know what to look for before and af independently (which was not a great experience) - I have worked on different cars since High School Auto shop, I know what to look for before and after service and have not found anything like I did with the mistakes like the Independent service providers. I traveled with my family over a week and did not think twice about the status of my vehicle. I trusted the competency of the staff of Manhattan Toyota completely. I was so busy trying to get work completed and neglected to take 2006 Tacoma in prior to leaving. I contacted the service dept. / John / and not only did he get me in but out within the time promised I was able to schedule other items on the to list for the trip. I did not feel the need to double check everything since purchase of 2006. We had a great no issues trip.I like the fact that I can contact someone and get answers - office / parts / service and be confident that they know what they are talking about. I will probably see you in 6 months or 5000 miles whichever comes first! Sincerely, Gary J. Poje / MB More
I have been bringing my Carolla to Manhattan since purchase. I have been very please with the way I have been treated. They explain what needs to be done and why. I even had them show me a part which purchase. I have been very please with the way I have been treated. They explain what needs to be done and why. I even had them show me a part which they couldn't believe they needed to be changed. Once, I drove into the service area when it was raining, the windshield wiper rubber broke off and after purchasing one in the parts department, John personally helped me instal a new for me on the spot. That is just one of the many great experiences I have had as a long term customer of Manhattan Toyota my first car being a 1985 Toyota Celica GTS. Gary J Poje More

After three hours of xxxx at DCH Toyota of Torrance, I took my business to Manhattan Beach Toyota and had an overall good experience. Nate was very patient and explained what was realistically possible an took my business to Manhattan Beach Toyota and had an overall good experience. Nate was very patient and explained what was realistically possible and what was not. Even though I still was not willing to pay over a certain amount, we were still able to negotiate in a respectful and cooperating manner. I will go back to purchase another Camry in a few weeks. More
Bought and service my vehicle. This place is totally deceptive and will do whatever it takes to unload inventory/make money. Their certified used vehicles don't hold value as promised and I seem to spen deceptive and will do whatever it takes to unload inventory/make money. Their certified used vehicles don't hold value as promised and I seem to spend more and more money everytime I go for scheduled maintenence. And conveniently it's always around tax-time (last year it was right after I got my stimulus refund). The kicker...I have the powertrain and bumper-to-bumper warranties, but nothing ever seems to be covered. I love my car and it's never given me trouble (kudos Toyota), but John Elway's Manhattan Beach Toyota and Scion is designed to gouge his customers and I am certain I can't trust the sales or service team. This is the exact situation I was trying to avoid by going here. Would I recommend this dealership: ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!! This is the last time I go there myself. More
I bought a new car from Manhattan Beach Toyota in December through their Fleet Department. Overall, I thought I was treated very well. On my initial visit I was only looking and NOT ready to buy. The December through their Fleet Department. Overall, I thought I was treated very well. On my initial visit I was only looking and NOT ready to buy. The fleet manager was respectful of this and did not try to cajole me into buying that day. There was no hard sell; they did not try to interest me in a larger or more expensive car that I didn't want, or try to push me upmarket on the options packages. When it came time to buy, they agreed to the price I wanted (5% over [invoice-holdback]) without much resistance. There were no markups, hidden fees, or other expenses tagged on last minute. Only two caveats: First, they sold me the platinum warranty for $1950, I have come to find out that the invoice on that warranty is only $989. Also, Manhattan Beach Toyota is a terrible place to test drive a car. Traffic is terrible, there are tons of hills and traffic lights, and it is just impossible to get a feel for your prospective car. I would recommend test driving at Carson Toyota and buying at Manhattan Beach. More
The sales managers and directors of this dealership are not only deceptive in all their dealings but misleading, dishonest and misrepresenting this dealership and the name of JOHN ELWAY attached to it and d not only deceptive in all their dealings but misleading, dishonest and misrepresenting this dealership and the name of JOHN ELWAY attached to it and doing harm to the TOYOTA brand in general. The ownership must take a serious look and investigate this matter because a lawsuit is waiting to happen in the near future for all of the above mentioned. My whole expericence was full of deception and lies just to lure me in to the dealership after agreeing to the price of the vehicle and then telling my that it would cost an additional $1900 because the internet manager had conviently made a mistake. Beware of the lying "managers"! They agreed to take of $700 of the asking price and while I was signing papers, I noticed it wasn't there and was the original price. When confronted, they said they coul $700 of the asking price and while I was signing papers, I noticed it wasn't there and was the original price. When confronted, they said they couldn't do the deal but neglected to tell me--this is AFTER they agreed to it. I walked--and got the deal. Also, the Finance guy lied and said my Credit Union had higher rates then they, that I couldn't refinance for 9 months and that the salesman was wrong that I could finance through myt credit union. ALL LIES. I refianced the following week and went from 7.25% to 4.25%. Watch them like a hawk. More
I had a small leak of radiator fluid in a newer car with very low miles. I brought it to Manhattan Beach Toyota even though the other reviews advised me against it. I thought that I would be the exception very low miles. I brought it to Manhattan Beach Toyota even though the other reviews advised me against it. I thought that I would be the exception. That is far from the truth! They charged me $90 for the diagnosis and told me that i needed a new radiator hose and inverter coolant pump for the hybrid system. They wanted $850 for the repair. I declined the repair and purchased the parts for $135. I wanted to do it myself. After researching how to repair it I found a service bulletin stating that this part is an extended warranty. At this point I figured I would see if Marina Del Rey would warranty the part before I attempted the fix myself. Without doing a full diagnosis of the problem, Marina said they wouldn't warranty it because the car had been in an accident but they said they could to the same repair as Manhattan Beach Toyota for $460, that is almost $400 less!! I decided to do it myself. After taking the front light out and partially removing the front bumper, I was able to realize the hose had a small hole in it. The pump was in perfect condition. I replace the hose and put new fluid in. The hose was an $8 part!! Manhattan Beach Toyota tried to rip me off. They were going to charge me $860 to replace a hose. Their Service Director, Darron Guy (loser) is a real piece of work. He said he wouldn't refund my diagnosis charge (they misdiagnosed it) because it would come out of his pay. Great customer service over there. A bunch of real Losers. At this point More

We went to the dealer and won a vacation for 2 through Toyota Manhattan dealer which KRN Enterprises will provide the the accommodations for the vacation package. As of today I haven't recieved any additional information on the vacation package from KRN Enterprises and/or Toyota Manhattan. I have called Toyota Manhattan Dealer plenty of times. I have left messages with numerous of employees and not once have they provided me with helfull information and or returned my phone calls. Not only did they lie on the vacation package but they got us to buy a new toyota tundra. I would have to say by this experience they need to work on their cusomer service. We have to buy another car within the next couple of weeks and I won't ever go to Toyota Manhattan dealer again. We have been going there for years but as of last month this will change. I will start going to the Toyota in Torrance. More
