To finish off my experience, Bob in finance made sure I left with a smile on my face and made signing everything seem like a breeze. This is the second time I have bought a car from Manhattan Beach Toyota and I couldn't imagine buying one anywhere else! More
Dealership Crashed my Car I wouldn't take my car here ever again. I took my car here for an oil change. Simple enough. I dropped my car off on a Friday and picked it up Saturda I wouldn't take my car here ever again. I took my car here for an oil change. Simple enough. I dropped my car off on a Friday and picked it up Saturday. When I picked up my car, no one alerted me of anything. I got my keys, drove off the lot and thought that was the end of it. Drove the car all of Sunday and to my shock, I got a voice message from Manhattan Beach Toyota. Surprise surprise my car had been in an accident. I drove all of Sunday not knowing this and not knowing if I was a danger to other drivers on the road. What made me even more upset was that Toyota didn't even inform me when I went to go pick up the car. On top of that, it took almost 2 days to get a hold of anyone to get details of the accident, and that means 2 days without a car. I couldn't understand why Toyota couldn't set me up with a rental on that Saturday instead of me having to go through my insurance almost 3 days later. On top of that, Toyota, demanded that I had to take my car take back to them to fix the damages saying that I needed to give them another opportunity to earn my trust. Now knowing a place crashed your car, and botched informing you, would you really trust them with a car you are spending thousands of dollars on? In the end, I can't really understand how this business is being operated and my trust has forever been damaged with Toyota of Manhattan Beach. More

I bought my car here and had a great experience and came to the service center for my first oil change. My experience was so bad it has completely changed my mind and I don't think I will ever be recommending this dealership to anyone, for anything. First, I was told the shuttle could take me home to El Segundo. The wait was over an hour so I paid for an Uber. Then my car took longer than expected and I was unable to pick it up due to family being in town. The dealership had my entire key set and wouldn't allow me access to it until Monday since the service center was closed, meaning I was unable to have access to my house until Monday since my house keys were attached to the key set. This was extremely frustrating since just prior to coming to get the vehicle, I called and was told by the receptionist that I would be able to get the keys without a problem. To make matter worse, when I arrived Monday they claimed to not have my car....... this was the last straw. After 15 minutes of going back and forth that they INDEED had my car AND keys, they were able to locate it and get me my car after I showed them a picture of the order receipt I was given Saturday morning. Everyone was extremely unfriendly, unprofessional, and rude. Coming from someone who works a customer facing job - the entire dealership needs to do better. More
Incompentant Service Department Took my vehicle in for maintenance & rear light out on 8/16/17. Told that they needed to order rear light and it would take 2-3 days. I called on 8/2 Took my vehicle in for maintenance & rear light out on 8/16/17. Told that they needed to order rear light and it would take 2-3 days. I called on 8/22/17 to check on the status of the needed part. I was told that the part came in on 8/17/17. I asked why didn't someone call me. No answer. I took my vehicle in on 8/23/17, @ 9am. I was told that it would take 1 1/2 hours. I finally called at 1pm and was told that the work was completed, but they were washing & vacuuming because I complained about not being called. I took my other Toyota in for maintenance & was going to pick up this vehicle. I arrived at 2pm. I was told that my vehicle was not ready because they ordered the wrong part. I asked why did they say it was ready in the first place. I asked to speak to a manager who ended up patronizing me. I am more upset because they lost my key ring the last time, got into my middle console & used my property without my permission and this time they lied. Sadly, I have no faith in Manhattan Beach Toyota. More
MBT makes simple service COMPLICATED Last time I'm going to MBT. Worst service department ever. Wait wait wait for a simple oil change and brake service. Only after to find they had additional work to do such as replacing the oil pan because the plug was stripped. How can it be stripped when it's only Toyota service departments that changed the oil???? Don't expect to get anything simple done here because they will do their best to make it as complicated as possible and find serious problems that need to be addressed right away making it as if your car is unsafe to drive if you don't make the fixes. More

The general summary of my experience with Manhattan Beach Toyota: First, my down payment check they were supposed to hold for 7 days while I sold my other car was "accidentally" cashed the next day. I had to bring them a new check after that ordeal, and they forgot to rewrite my contract for the new down payment amount. A couple of months go by, everything is great, until I get notice that THEY ARE SUING ME for their error in my contract! I have never received a phone call, an email, ANYTHING about the discrepancy or error they found. Instead was "served" AT WORK (yet I wasn't at work...they "served" my paperwork to someone else!!!). I am in complete and utter disbelief at my experience in buying a car here. I was hoping their lack of communication would stop at the first incident, but clearly it extends through the entire organization. How can one employee get so far as filing to sue a customer without first simply asking someone in the same building the circumstances around the error you found?! I can't imagine incompetence at this level would stop at my experience... Save yourself the hassle. Go to South Bay Toyota...or literally ANYWHERE else!!! More
Shady and deceitful I purchased a 2012 Scion xD a year ago it ran out of gas 3 blocks from dealership. 3 days later over heated a week later water pump went out then my b I purchased a 2012 Scion xD a year ago it ran out of gas 3 blocks from dealership. 3 days later over heated a week later water pump went out then my brakes went out Toyota refused to repairs these issues dispite that it's Toyota certified vehicle. I also got the extended warranty. Recently during an oil change they told me my alternator was going out but they couldn't fix it till it went out completely. It's been 3 months since then now my alternator is out and they say I have to pay cause it's not covered as a Toyota certified vehicle. So I'm guessing my extended warranty doesn't mean anything. To anyone thinking about buying a vehicle from here I'd say find another Toyota dealership. They think because this is a wealthy area that can screw their costomers. Well not if I can help it More

Shuttle service not good I went in for service on my car and the shuttle guy was supposed to drive me back to work. He then stated the address is too far away with smug face a I went in for service on my car and the shuttle guy was supposed to drive me back to work. He then stated the address is too far away with smug face and an attitude. There website lists a 10 mile radius, but the driver stated there was a policy change and he can only drive me 5 miles out. I asked him to drop me off as far as he could go and he told be he could go as far Hawthorne blvd. I declined his offer. As I waited for my car I checked the distance from the dealer to Hawthorne blvd. it was only 3 miles. Then I checked the distance from the dealer to my job and it was 4.8 miles. The driver obviously didn't care to check the address I gave him or That I just spent a few hundred bucks on service. The service rep sold me on a detail special the had for $189 for my other car but they told me I have to leave the car there the whole day. I Cant wait around for my car the whole day, I want to have my car serviced here but they aren't making it easy for me. I am a little closer to South bay toyota. I guess I should take the hint and just go there. More
