Inquired on one vehicle, made appointment, filled out credit on line, got there could not find the vehicle then was told it was not mechanically sound shown another vehicle that I liked signed the papers credit on line, got there could not find the vehicle then was told it was not mechanically sound shown another vehicle that I liked signed the papers went home had it for almost a week get a call saying they couldn't get me financed for that vehicle and I had to bring it back but that there was another vehicle (not the type I was looking for) that they could get me financed for that was more expensive. I already sold my other car and was between a rock and a hard place needing a car. Bait and switch at its worst. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Now I'm in a more expensive vehicle that was not what I wanted. Wish I had seen this site before. More

AS A PROFESSIONAL BUILDING AND ROOFING CONTRACTOR AS WELL AS A INVESTOR IN BUYING AND SELLING HOUSES IN THE TAMPA BAY AREA, IM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A GOOD DEAL, I BOUGHT A 09' CONVERTIBLE CORVETTE UNDER WARRANTY FROM A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP AND MAHER TREATED IT AS IF I BOUGHT IT FROM THEM AS THERE WERE SEVERAL THINGS THAT I MISSED WHEN PURCHASING THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT, THE VEHICLE STILL HAD A BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY AND THEY FIXED EVERYTHING W/O ASKING A QUESTION. EVEN WHEN THE WARRANTY RAN OUT THEY REPLACED THE PASSENGER SEAT THAT WOULD'VE COST ME SEVERAL THOUSAND... SINCE THEN, IV BEEN THERE SEVERAL OTHER TIMES WITH MINOR ISSUES THAT THEY TOOK CARE OF AS WELL AS A FAIR PRICE (AFTER HAGGLING WITH THEM)... I HAVE A 05' HUMMER WITH 150K MILES AND HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THERE BECAUSE I TRUST THEIR SERVICE AND THE RELATIONSHIP THAT I HAVE WITH THE CUSTOMER DEPARTMENT, I KNOW THAT THEY WILL TREAT ME RIGHT AND WHEN I DRIVE OUT OF THERE MY PROBLEM IS WORRY FREE.. WHY WOULD YOU BRING YOUR VEHICLES ANYWHERE BUT A PLACE WHERE THEY ARE TRAINED TO WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE, IT MIGHT BE CHEAPER BUT YOUR TAKING A CHANCE, AT LEAST THIS PLACE CAN TELL ME EXACTLY WHATS WRONG AND THEY FIX IT THE FIRST TIME. IV DEALT WITH ALOT OF MECHANICS AND THEYLL ROB YOU BLIND OR TELL YOU THAT ITS 1 THING AND THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW ITS SOMETHING ELSE THAT COSTS YOU MORE MONEY.. IM NOT GOING TO TAKE THAT CHANCE, IM GOING WITH THE PROS!!! IV READ SOME OF THE OTHER COMMENTS AND WAS SHOCKED, FIRST OF ALL, TO DIAGNOSE AN ISSUE IS $96, BUT THEY APPLY IT ON WHAT ITS GOING TO COST TO FIX IT.. THEY WENT AS FAR AS TO LET ME FIND HUBS FOR MY VEHICLE CHEAPER AND FOR THEM TO INSTALL IT, WHO ELSE DOES THAT, (NOBODY)... Having been a first time customer of Maher Chevrolet, I was not sure what to expect and was initially timid to buy a new car based on the typical "used car salesman" approach. Once I pulled up and got out of my car I was approached as expected and asked if I needed any help in a very non-aggressive manner. I replied and said I just wanted to look, and I will let the sales man (Walt Empey) know when I am ready to discuss. After about 20 minutes of searching I found the car of my dreams, 2013 Chevy Silverado. Walt, the salesman, could see my excitement! He approached me and informed me on the car and answered any questions I had. He was very helpful, professional, and passionate in the product he was explaining. I eventually purchased the car with no hassle or pressures. Walt made me feel very comfortable and assured me I would be taken care of. I really appreciated Walt Empeys service and professionalism. Out right thieves!!! They treat there employees like crap and it shows in the quality of the service. Since Mike Maher past the Piece of trash Greg Soliar took over and is driving that dealership into the di and it shows in the quality of the service. They can't keep service writers because of the daily abuse from the two of them. The service dept. is a death trap and they refuse to upgrade it. The employees are miserable and it shows in there work. Stay Away More
Misleading, deceptive, no follow up, and poor service. Maher Chevy sold a vehicle with an inoperable air bag. We were told they would fix the horn and we paid cash, We took possession three days later. Several hours after we took possession they called and told us the airbag was inoperable. Then they said we could come back and buy another vehicle costing $1000 more. Avoid this dealership. Avoid Ted Cade the salesman. More
Dropped off my car to have diagnostic done. 3 hours later I was told it needed over $800.00 repair work. I told them I needed to consult with the owner of the auto sales co. I purchased car from. After consulting with him, a second opinion by another mechanic was run and revealed that 2 of the parts the Maher service dept. computer analysis said I needed was false.The next day I called Mr. Gerber, left a voice message requesting a breakdown on the $800.00+ estimate. My call was Never returned. I paid a $96.00 diagnostic fee and I'm questioning their analysis. I had a ligament question. The repair will be performed by another repair shop ( which I won't mention here) Yes their friendly, but I'm afraid I can't recommend this dealership. In my opinion the $96 fee is very high, when it took less the 3 minutes? to perform and I'm questioning the validity of their analysis. When I returned to pay the fee, I was told they had to put the parts back together? My car was sitting in the exact same spot where they parked it prior to me leaving? The mechanic basically walked to it opened the door and plugged in his computer box. Hate to say this, but before you let this dealer work on your vehicle (unless you have a warrantee?) beware. Get a secound opinion. More
Did a test drive with Val Nucci, but decided to spread the net wide and contacted numerous local chevy dealers over the internet. Val strung me along for 3 weeks, then at the last minute did a bait and switch with price. I told him I was buying from another dealer, and I did. This guy has kept on emailing me, acting as if we set an appointment for a test drive, like I was still shopping for a car. Even after, I told him to quit emailing me, he still keeps sending email. Maher Chevy wouldn't give me their General Manager's email address. I thought he'd like to know that Nucci is a scumbag that is misleading him, but obviously the management of Maher is too cowardly to publish their email addresses. No wonder another dealer won my business. More
