Just looking to make a large profit I went to Maher Chevrolet specifically to look at the loaner/demo cars they were selling and known for. To say the least, I am highly unimpressed. The demo cars I was primarily interested in were 2018 and 2019 Chevy Cruzes. I had the salesman price out a 2018 demo Chevy Cruze LT complete with the convenience package since I qualified for both the educator and college graduate discount. The sticker price on this car was $24,485 however, the salesman priced the car at $25,593 claiming it included a décor package they "add to all cars." My discounts brought the price down to "supplier pricing" ($23,853, online supplier is $23,353) but this was still representative of a brand new car, this one had already been driven. The salesman claimed he might be able to find a way to take another $500 off "if that would make a difference to you." I will just be looking elsewhere for a car and Maher will not be getting my business in the future. More

Outstanding Dealership We drove all the way from Gadsden, AL to St Petersburg to trade out of our Hyundai into a Traverse. We would not entrust any of our local dealerships We drove all the way from Gadsden, AL to St Petersburg to trade out of our Hyundai into a Traverse. We would not entrust any of our local dealerships with this deal due to their lack of experience and honesty in previous dealings. We were in and out the door and on the road within 2 hours. Any questions I’ve had since my pickup on March 1 have been answered within a prompt manner. I appreciate Maher’s honesty and straightforwardness. Especially when so many other local dealerships have failed to do so. Maher has a customer in our family forever. Brad, Megan and Matt are indeed an awesome team. Brad Bradford, Salesman of the Century. Brad and his team of experts got me into a 2014 Red Silverado 4 x 4. There was a lot of work that still needed to be done to it like replacements of the front lights, the cigarette smell in the Cabin, some other nitpicking things, and of course a check engine light came on. The off market rear cover needed to be replaced also. All this was promised to be done. I bought the Truck in December 2018 after towing in my 2005 Avalanche I bought here at Maher Chevrolet. I know they could have given me a better deal, but I really like the red truck. Now it took three months to navigate through everything, and getting past service and so on to get everything done, but it got done. Naturally it could have been done quicker. But as the world turns, you have to roll with the punches. Would I do this all over again?....only if Brad was there to make sure things got done. I do recommend that a extended warranty should be bought for anything over 86K miles. Trust me, the transmission or the drive train will have issue. They always do. That does not help Chevy when I say this. However, I am a Chevy man. Now the rear back cover which is aftermarket stuff, was in pretty bad shape, so Service and the Sales manager decided to get me a new one....How cool was that. Couple of things I had problems with. 1. the Lease truck Brad gave me this last time was F 150. A Ford, how could he? 2. Next, when I had to get a truck from the Service department, that was a political nightmare. You thought Obama was running that department. Well anyway, I got to know my salesman well, and saw that service does need a little help. Speaking of Service. The Service Manager the night I rolled (towed) in there with the Avalanche, remarked at me that too many hands where in my Avalanche since I bought it. Okay, I am going to drive all the way from Orlando doing 35 miles an hour when my Transmission went out on me....really? My oil changes I did myself, cause I like to tinker on cars and always did since I had my first car. It is one thing.....that a sales person remarks to his Sales manager that they have a problem with their Service Manager, it is another thing when a customer cannot get off the subject no matter how long it lingers. Service Manager must understand, "Marketing 101" customer is always right no matter how hard it hurts. I have a Master’s degree in Marketing, and the rule is, it is hard enough to get customers, it is even harder yet to retain the ones you got. I almost left and thought, you know Ram Trucks are looking pretty good right about now. However, I shook my head and said, OMG, I am a Chevy man, and always will be. You’re lucky I am. I think right now, your Sales Managers and Service managers need to have a meeting, and this needs to be brought up and resolved before your service manager does any more damage. No one is complacent in my business, and that should be the same at Maher Chevrolet. If you want me in this meeting, you know where you can find me. I am not ashamed of what I wrote. My wife and I were looking for a quality used car that was within our budget and after dealing with about a 1/2 dozen other dealerships I thought that it wasn't going to happen because all I was receiving was a bunch of pressure to purchase a vehicle that didn't fit our criteria. My sister who has been dealing with Chris for over 20 years highly recommended that I visit Chris at Maher and boy am I glad that I took her advise. Chris is as genuine as it gets. He listened to our needs and didn't try to pressure us into something that we couldn't afford or into a vehicle style that wasn't to our taste. After we located the car that we wanted, it came time for financing. Ron the finance adviser was a wizard. He was able to locate a financial institution that gave us an incredible rate. Chris and Ron are 2 employees that signify excellence and are a great asset to the Maher community. Now if you want a salesman who isn't the prototypical high pressure car salesperson stereotype that I suggest that you visit Chris at Maher and see what he can do for you and I assure you that you will be pleasantly surprised how easy Chris makes buying a car. Chris made sure that when the car went thru the inspection prior to purchasing that if there is anything wrong it gets corrected. If you need financing then make sure you ask for Ron. More
