I had a key programmed. It took a little over an hour, but I didn’t mind the wait. Disappointing We have an Audi Q5 which I brought in for scheduled service July 14th. NYS inspection was due by July 31, so that was begun. I was told that a small "spider" chip in the windshield would have caused a failed inspection, and that the entire windshield would need to be replaced. The high tech features involved required allignment and computer re-programming so to expect a full day of working time. Sorry, we don't have the part, We will order it and call you when it comes in. No one called me! When I called Maguire on the 27th, they admitted that the part had arrived (oops!) but could only do the (specialized) installation on the 30th or August 3rd not on the 29th as I requested. I live 90 minutes away and I don't wish to spend a whole day in the waiting room, so I asked for a loaner. There seemed to be some initial hesitation but they did agree to my request. So the plan is 3 hours of driving on the 3rd, followed by 3 more on the 4th, assuming the work is completed. I expect more convenience following a $50,000 plus purchase! More
