Always Excellent Customer Service Although I have had my first- ever Toyota in the shop way more than I would like -- a 2016 Tacoma that has been in for a variety "bugs" in less than 3 Although I have had my first- ever Toyota in the shop way more than I would like -- a 2016 Tacoma that has been in for a variety "bugs" in less than 30K miles -- the service department staff have always been 100% ready and willing to handle and solve my issues. I have made a conscious effort to remember that the quality-control issues I have had are not their fault, but it has still been extremely frustrating dealing with some things that should not be happening to a new vehicle, especially when Toyota wants to stand on their "most dependable and reliable" platform. In any case Janie Elizondo, and most recently Dave (sorry I couldn't remember full name) have granted me all my requests and met all my needs. And to all of the Techs (too many to remember) who have taken test rides with me and been thorough and detailed in their descriptions and analysis, thanks to all of you too! Although my experience with my first Toyota has been disappointing (and not going to steer me towards a repeat purchase), the service department and quick lube/oil department have been outstanding. On a related note, Toyota could learn more than a few things from its competitors regarding great customer service. On all of our previous vehicles (we have purchased five Hyundai's since 2005), for EVERY service visit we received a completely washed, vacuumed and detailed vehicle back when done, even for just oil changes. And for every service visit -- whether scheduled maintenance or warranty related repairs -- we have ALWAYS had a very nice loaner vehicle ready for us when dropping off our vehicle even when only for one day! No wonder Hyundai is one of the highest rated manufacturers across all aspects of sales, service and dependability. Come on Toyota, you can and should do better! More
