I worked with john for a week or so to purchase a murano, john was a wonderful, very pleasent and knowledgeable person. I went back to the dealership to ask john a few questions about the murano and was told john was a wonderful, very pleasent and knowledgeable person. I went back to the dealership to ask john a few questions about the murano and was told by eddie (another salesman) he had been fired by jim M'lady because jim m'lady would not pay him his commissions that were owed him. What kind of a person wouldnt pay a person the money he owed his employee? I recommend that anyone needing a nissan or any other car stay away from M'lady nissan and go see john at Liberty Auto Plaza 847-680-8000 you will be very satisfied with his proffessionalism. Thanks John Sandy lavine More

I had a bad experience the first time took my car in. They told me there is something wrong with the window because i have after market alram. I knew that wasnt the case because my passenger side window They told me there is something wrong with the window because i have after market alram. I knew that wasnt the case because my passenger side window was working perfectly fine. They made me bring my car several times and they couldnt figure it out what was the problem. Not even that they couldnt fix oil leak and rpm. For the same problem i had to take my car in several time. And they lie to me and they billed my extended warranty several time for the same problem by making a fake issues. More
Lies and deception. The price was good but was supposed to include a specific bumper to bumper warranty. They tried to switch it during the paperwork, and I threatened to leave, they then upgraded the war to include a specific bumper to bumper warranty. They tried to switch it during the paperwork, and I threatened to leave, they then upgraded the warranty but when I questioned the actual warranty that I wanted they lied to me and said it was a maintenance contract not a warranty. When I asked for a brochure to explain the warranties, they said they didnt have one. Brian Murphy promised me that I got the best warranty. Guess what, they lied. When I got home and researched the warranty that I asked for it was not the maintenance plan they had told me. When I called Brian Murphy the very next morning, he told me he would fix it. Two weeks and many calls later, I ended up driving back to the dealer to find out where my new paperwork for the warranty was that Brian Murphy had promised to mail, and Jim Brandt had promised to fax to me. At that time Jim Brandt told me that Brian Murphy had quit, and that if I wanted the warranty that I had asked for, I would have to pay $380 more. What a scam!! He told me to talk to Jim M'Lady as he was the only one to authorize this, and I was told that Mr M'Lady always promptly returns customers phone calls. Well several messages and days later, I received no return call from Mr. M'lady, instead I received a voice mail from Jim Brandt saying that Mr. M'Lady had told him that he would not do anything for me. Avoid this dealer. Went to the BBB, they would not negotiate, which is why they are now listed as unacceptable. More
Negotiated the price of a new Maxima and Nissan extended warranty. Told them up front that I wanted a bumper to bumper 6yr 100k zero deductible warranty. When it came time to sign the papers, they tried t warranty. Told them up front that I wanted a bumper to bumper 6yr 100k zero deductible warranty. When it came time to sign the papers, they tried to give me a lesser warranty, when I balked they finally agreed to a slightly better warranty, but when I pointed out the warranty I wanted on the form they told me that the one I wanted was a maintenance plan, not a better warranty. Once I got home and looked it up on line, I found out that they lied to me and did not give me the correct warranty. I called back the next morning and Bryan Murphy agreed to correct the warranty and send me a copy. A week later I still didnt reveive the paperwork so I called back and was told the secretary had mailed it out but he would send it out again. I waited another week and still no paperwork, so I called again, and had to leave a voicemail for Mr Murphy. When I did not receive a call back in a day and a half I called again, and Mr. Murphy was not available but Jim Brandt helped me and said he had just seen Mr Murphy working on it a couple days earlier. I asked him to fax me a copy of the corrected form and he agreed. I waited a couple hours, no fax, so I drove to the dealer, and then was told that Mr. Murphy had quit, and then Jim Brandt said they would not correct the warranty unless I paid them an additional $380!! I tried calling Jim M'Lady as he says he will always return your calls, I left him 3 messages, and no call back, instead I got a message from Jim Brandt saying he spoke with Jim M'Lady and they would not honor their mistake and I would have to pay the $380 for the warranty I had originally asked for. AVOID THIS DEALER!!! More
Went in to dealer with financing already arranged through my credit union. I let them talk me into filling out a financing application because they were sure they could beat my rate. They did, a full poin my credit union. I let them talk me into filling out a financing application because they were sure they could beat my rate. They did, a full point less than the credit union was going to give me. Great deal! Not so fast. After signing all the paper work I thought we were done. Six days later, Eddie form the finance department calls me and tells me they were not able to get the rate they had promised but could get me a rate of 15.9%! I had already called the credit union and told them to disregard my application because I thought I had a deal in place. Now, I had to go back to the credit union, redo all their paperwork and hope that they would still give me the same loan. They did. I then asked Eddie if I could just mail the check since I live 25 mile away and didn't want to go all the way back to the dealer. I was told I could not mail it because there were some papers I had to sign. I went in and gave them my check and they gave me a receipt. Lo and behold, no papers to sign! Eddie called me the next day to find out when I might be able to bring in the check. Idiots. Also, and I know it's buyer beware on this but 3 days after I got the car the brakes started to squeek, the rear passenger window doesn't work properly and they only had one key to the car. So much for their 103 point inspection. Will not be back. More
Jim M'lady Nissan is a joke. The sales department misquoted me a price so the son of the owner had to get involved to resolve the issue. The service department messed up my windows when bringing the misquoted me a price so the son of the owner had to get involved to resolve the issue. The service department messed up my windows when bringing the vehicle to get a routine remote strat put in. The service department is rude on the phone and in person. I had to bring it in again to get my headliner fixed. Still waiting (now 3 weeks) to get the clips to fix it. Found a razor blade between the seat cushion and back rest of the drivers seat which cut my girlfriends finger. Now I am trying to get in touch with the Owner Jim only to find out that he keeps pushing me off to the operations manager. I was reffered to this Nissan Dealer from company that does business with this dealer a lot. If I am being treated like this how does the average customer get treated. In short I would never reffer anyone to this dealer ship in fact I have gone out of my way to make sure nobody makes the same mistake that I did. More
I purchased a 2004 Honda Accord from them. During the financing process they told me that i need to sign a paper stating that the car has ETCH( vehicle etch is used for theft recovery) since they have a financing process they told me that i need to sign a paper stating that the car has ETCH( vehicle etch is used for theft recovery) since they have a high vandalism rate in their area, and there is no charge for it. Next day when i was reviewing my paper work i realized that there was a charge of $200 for this service! now i know you would say that i should have looked at the paper work. Whatever happend to honesy? Anyway, so I call the next day and speak with Amir Ali (GM for the dealership), he tells me thta this is included in all thier cars! Yeah right, since when does it become mandatory to purchase a service? ANyway, long story short, be very careful when you but your car from anywhere....and if possible avoid Jim M'Lady....they are not Lady like..if you know what i mean. More
This dealer is TERRIBLE, unprofessional and deceitful. I purchased a vehicle, and was laid off the next day. The bank no longer accepted the sales contract, which is fine, and the dealer continued to tell m purchased a vehicle, and was laid off the next day. The bank no longer accepted the sales contract, which is fine, and the dealer continued to tell me to keep "my car" that they would "work something out." I reside in the city limits of Chicago, and was called by the finance manager on the 27th of January telling me they could work something out, to come on in on Saturday. I drove all the way up Sat. morning, and much to my surprise and dismay, they tricked me and took the car back. Their rider, which accompanies every sales contract, indicates that if " the dealer is unable to assign its right, title and interest in the contract to a sales finance agency and so notifies the customer, customer will, within two days, return the purchased motor vehicle to the dealers place of business and the dealer shall RETURN TO THE CUSTOMER ALL OF CUSTOMERS DEPOSITS, less dealers cost of repair damages occurring to the motor vehicle while in the customers possession. I was never given my two days AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY DEPOSIT! I have had a lawyer call and write them, and now filed a complaint with Nissan, BBB as well as the Dept. of Professional Regulations. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! More
