I would say this Dealership has given me the worst car buying experience of my life. The transaction at the dealership was a little less than smooth. I live in southern California and was in Reno doing so buying experience of my life. The transaction at the dealership was a little less than smooth. I live in southern California and was in Reno doing some work on the new Hospital. When I test drove the truck, the salesman Patrick Miliano said it hadn’t been through their inspection process. But they would inspect it and replace anything that it needed. It was Thursday and I was leaving Friday. I said if you can have it done by Friday at Noon, I will take the truck. I sat down with Patrick and agreed to pay the asking price. Tony Moore the sales manager brought me a page with 2 payments. One with a warranty and one without. I didn’t want the warranty; he came back saying they were able to get the warranty cheaper. I said I still didn’t want it. I went into the finance office and signed all the paperwork. That night something didn’t seem right about the payment so after reviewing the paperwork I noticed that they had skipped a page I was supposed to initial, and that page included a breakdown of the costs. Which included a warranty that was around 3000 dollars. They said it was a mistake and corrected it the next day. I drove back to Southern California with the truck. I noticed the truck wouldn’t get to normal operating temperature. I figured this truck may work differently than my other vehicles in the past. I was wrong, the day after bringing it home the thermostat failed. I replaced it and when replacing it I found the intake boot wasn’t tight at all, there was missing hardware from the electric fan and there was a random bolt laying on the cross member of the truck. I reset the check engine light and had to drive the truck a few days so I could take it to pass California smog. On the day I was taking it to the smog shop I got a low oil light. I immediately pulled over and checked the dipstick. There was no oil. I made it to the closest store with oil and re-filled it. I got the truck home and crawled under it. There was oil everywhere. I took the truck to an independent shop so they could inspect the truck for other issues and try and diagnose this issue. Here is what they found. The rear main oil seal is leaking. On the rear main seal, the shop said someone put silicone in that area to try and hide a leak. I don’t know if it was this dealership or wherever they got it from. Transmission oil cooler pipes are leaking It needs front and rear brake pads There were also some other minor things that I wouldn’t expect a dealership to take care of. I looked through my paperwork and it doesn’t look like the dealer did a driveline inspection like the state of Nevada requires on vehicles over 75k miles, if they did I don’t have a copy of that paperwork. I emailed the dealership several times and nobody has contacted me back. I have only been able to call once due to my work schedule but got a voicemail. I have put less than a thousand miles on the truck and can’t drive it now due to the amount of oil that leaks out after running it. More
