i was impressed on my first visit to Lithia service dept but it all went downhill from there. On my second visit for a diagnostic $195 plus tax. I explained the issue : over bump with a turn vehicle lost power and died but once i knew this i could ‘feather’ accelerator and keep it going. I thought a ground issue but forums mentioned ignition as a possible to identify perform grounding wire testing for recommended ohms. I made appointment and discussed with Brian my service writer for my first visit. I specifically asked that grounds be tested for proper electrical connections (ohms). I was assured a complete diagnostic would be performed. I was waiting and took my dogs for a walk. I got a call shortly could not duplicate on test drive i was requested to take mechanic on a drive. I did so including driving in an abandoned parking lot over the 6 inch high curbs in an effort to duplicate my issue. I had previously explained to Brian there were 2 keys to truck and i was not sure which one was a duplicate. So when i gave it to Lithia i provided them the key with which i had not experienced a shutdown. I told the service writer what i was doing and why. So when i came to go out on drive with mechanic i used the other key the one which had been used when problem occurred. I could not duplicate issue until i pulled key out while driving truck hiccupped and I pushed it back in, the mechanic was pleased, we had Duplicated the issue! But not in my mind as i had to yank on key to ‘duplicate’ . anyway without any further or any work or diagnosis i was told truck needed new ignition a roughly $1600. 00 job!! Mind you no actual diagnostic work was done the mechanic freely admitted to this, he merely got in my truck and drove it and then asked me to drive it. We both met with the service writer Brian and explained. I was certainly not going to do a repair as i still had questions. Brian said fine and i was told i could follow up in the future. Brian did not try to charge me and so I left. About 4 hours later Brian called and asked if i wanted to schedule service I said no as i did not believe it needed an ignition what it needed was to use the other ( proper) key. Immediatelyhe asked to be paid for the “diagnostic”. I was a bit taken back as he previously told me i was free to go. Brian insisted, and so i provided my card info and he dropped $10. off original price bringing it to 189 plus tax , all for doing NOTHING! other than driving and being driven in my truck! no checking of resistance or other electrical or Any other checking ! I was astounded but I pay my bills. HOWEVER this is not the right way to treat a customer especially when you don't actually even ‘ open the hood’!!! I writing to let Everyone know this IS NOT the place to go for fair or ethical treatment!! WARNING do not trust Lithia Dodge service! More
My husband and I bought a truck from this company and will never go back to them all they care about is making the sale. I was told multiple times that the vehicle was sound and that there was no issue o will never go back to them all they care about is making the sale. This truck has cause us over 2 grand in less then two weeks of owning it and we still have to put more into it. The management never answers emails I’m shocked this company has not been sued. Peyton was amazing. His communication and consistency were amazing. I bought the vehicle while living 1200 miles away and knew each step of the process because it was al His communication and consistency were amazing. Peyton spend a solid hour with me going over all of the technology to make sure that once I hit the road I knew what the truck could do( and there is a ton of technology!). He has checked in with me twice over the last 5 days since I bought the truck to make sure everything is going well. I WILL buy from this dealership again. All vehicle purchasing should be this easy. Josh in finance also made the experience exceptional. All paperwork was handled easily and professionally. Josh is friendly, easy going and up front. Scott, the general manager came out to meet me and to make sure everything was going well. It feels like he creates a good work environment there. We spend time talking and sharing about the process. I felt cared for and supported through the process. Do yourself a favor and ask for Peyton! More
I agree with some of the other raters, these people are not honest and some are pretty rude. They wouldn't give us the second set of keys and even took the owner's manual out of the vehicle. I have purchased many new trucks in my time. But have never ever had a bad experience like this, just to get me to sign and do the deal they said they would remove and remount a head ache rack a But have never ever had a bad experience like this, just to get me to sign and do the deal they said they would remove and remount a head ache rack and a auxiliary fuel tank, they said no problem but it's late, come back after the storm and we will get you taken care of. After I left I called 17 times and not one of those lieing cowards would pick up the phone when I was transferred to them or return any emails.. these guys will lie to you just to get there way especially if it's a very expensive vehicle. After I signed they completely blew us off no matter what the paper work says. You can't believe a word they say! BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! READ ALL THERE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING THERE. THEY REALLY ARE "USED CAR SALESMAN" CROOKS!! More
Management Extremley rude, removed things off the contract after I signed. This place is as crooked as a 3 dollar bill.
