Best Car Buying Experience Ever Visited all 3 local RAM dealers; knew exactly what I was looking for to include all of the features. Since Barton was a new Dodge dealer was not sure Visited all 3 local RAM dealers; knew exactly what I was looking for to include all of the features. Since Barton was a new Dodge dealer was not sure they would be able to price and service match the other dealers that have been in business for years. I was mistaken, they not only matched the price they gave me more for my trade than the other 2 dealers. They did not have the exact truck I wanted but found it and had it delivered within a couple of days. They are first class; hands down the easiest and most stress free car buying experience I have ever had. I am in my 50's and have bought 10 new vehicles; the new car manager Chris was very helpful in making the deal go smoothly, ensuring I got everything I wanted. The sales person Bill did a great job of communicating with me and ensuring the process went quick and thorough. The finance manager Mike took the time to explain all of the paperwork, went over the different types of warranties and explained them so I had a good understanding of the whole process. Will definitely buy again from them and will refer friends and family to them. More

We went back and forth on price which I guess is to be expected, but I left with them telling me that this is absolutely there bottom price. I went home and got on the Internet and found my car at this dealership advertised online for $600 less than what they told me was their bottom price. I asked my salesman why he didn't offer me the Internet price and he told me they are not allowed to look at Internet pricing with customers. I told some friends about it and they told me that Barton does the same thing with new car pricing. They advertise a price to get you in the door then tell you that you don't qualify for retain rebates and try to make you pay more. Dave Smith is close enough and They ALWAYS beat Barton on price. I will never go to Barton again. More

They let it sit in the hot sun and melted my steering wheel. They ignored my need for help. I would NEVER go back. I do not recommend you try these guys. Try the valley dealership, but stay away from Barton. More
BEWARE OF BARTON!!!!!!!! Barton has some of the rudest people working for them. All they from the bottom of the totem pole up to the general manager Chris. I took my truck in for a standard oil change and a windshield replacement. The windshield replacement was going to be sub-contracted out to a Glass Repair shop. I was not happy about this. I brought my truck to the dealer and was willing to pay more to ensure I received mopar replacement and not a third party replacement. The service writer could not understand that concept. Finally, after working with my insurance company, I was contacted by the third party company that was doing the windshield replacement and they assured me it would be Mopar. So I let them do the work. While on the phone with the third party company, they indicated I needed to pay the $100 deductible with them directly so I gave them my CC over the phone to pay for the deductible. When I went to pick up my truck, the cashier was extremely rude, I asked to speak to the general manager, he was equally as bad and had the nerve to tell me I was a liar about paying the deductible to the third party company. They refused to give me my truck back unless I paid them the deductible also. I paid them the deductible (figuring I can always dispute the CC charge if I am double charged). When I dropped the truck off, they had my service record history under the wrong name. They said they would correct it. When I went to pick up the car, they could not find my truck in the system. It was still under the other name. Their cashier asked me to write down all the correct name, address, phone #, and she would change it. I told her that I am already in the computer. She said I was not. I said "Maam, I am in your computer, they even found me in the computer when I dropped the car of." She proceeded to tell me that I was not in the computer. I told her once again, that I am in the computer. Then the cashier was rude to me and said "You are not going to talk to me that way" I asked to speak to the General Manager Chris. He defended the Cashiers actions and again told me I was a liar when I communicate to him what the cashier did. He said "We have cameras" I said, great, lets review them. To which he refused. Obviously because he knows the cashier was rude and he also knows he is rude. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone reading this review to steer away from this dealership. You will be better off driving to any other dealership. If every one bands together and does not use this dealership, then eventually they will either go out of business and make room for a dealership that understands what "Customer service" is, or they will change. Unfortunately for them, once a bad name and reputation is earned its 100 times harder to fix. More
Deceptive Service Department My 2007 Chrysler Sebring was stuck in park and would not allow me to shift. After further research I realized that this was caused by a malfunction in My 2007 Chrysler Sebring was stuck in park and would not allow me to shift. After further research I realized that this was caused by a malfunction in the shifter on a piece that Chrysler had recalled. I made an appointment with Barton Chrysler to have this fixed for me. I was expecting to leave Chrysler with a working vehicle and a free fix as it was recalled. However, this was not the case. I was informed by my service advisor Scott that the recalled part was not my issue. He proceeded to tell me that it had looked like someone had spilled a sticky drink in my shifter and that it must have caused it to short out. He said this happens all the time. Unfortunately, I would need to buy a new shifter and it would run me over $400. Later that evening, I removed the center console and took a look for myself. I was shocked when I realized that it wasn’t sticky and that clearly the recalled part had broken and released a tension spring. I fixed my shifter for $0 myself but was told by Scott that the fix would be over $400. I was surprised that someone could speak so kindly and politely but with such utter dishonesty. More
Over-priced and unnecessary repairs. Vehicle [2005 Dodge 2500] had a severe shake. Dealer diagnosed brakes out of round, replaced all discs plus pads for ~ $950. Vehicle still shook badly, and dealership THEN decided it was the differential, and gave me an Estimate of about $4,000 to repair. I refused and took the vehicle to an old well established shop downtown, where frozen u-joints were correctly diagnosed, and total repair was $547. (complete rear end rebuild, at that shop, would have been about $1100, if it had indeed been the differential. They determined after driving the vehicle a couple of blocks, that it was not) Subsequent mechanics have looked at the old brake discs (I took them with me) and they do not appear to be out of round at all--brake job was unneeded. The Barton Dealership in referance is located on HWY 2, going North out of Spokane WA. They opened up in December of 2012. I went in on the 26th of December to ask questions about my current 2010 Dodge RAM going North out of Spokane WA. They opened up in December of 2012. I went in on the 26th of December to ask questions about my current 2010 Dodge RAM due to its lack of stability on snow and ice. I ended up trading it in on a 2006 Dodge RAM due to their reputation as a Diamler -Benz /Chrysler vehicle. What happened was beyond my ability to comprehend. First and foremost, BARTON Jeep is and still remains in direct violation of the WA ST. "Implied Warranty " act. The vehicle I purchased had a "Certified pre-owned " sticker on it and as it turned out had NEVER been inspected! Since the purchase, I have put over $2000.00 into it that BARTON refuses to reimburse stating that they explained all of the defects to me ( which is an outright bald-faced lie) and do not offer the State mandated implied warranty. They have repeatedly lied about pretty much everything that has been brought to them regarding this vehicle. They told a state agency worker that they gave me free service when in fact they did NOTHING that should've been done before the vehicle was ever put on their lot for sale. Instead they sold me an over-priced warranty with a $200.00 deductible saying " We don't offer the implied warranty...That's why we sold the extended warrranty!" Under WA. ST. Law, law, it doesn't matter if they sell an extended warranty or not...The WA. ST "Implied warranty " still applies. They refuse to acknowledge this and so far have lied and bamboozeled several state agancies regarding this issue. The vehicle, as it turned out even had illegal tires on it. I was told by the salesman to "take them to a tire shop and have them siped. The tire shop personnel I took the truck to, took one look at the tires and said..."what in the xxxx are those?" THey turned out to be Sand dune tires which would never show up in this part of the country and could not be siped. I was told DO NOT TAKE THIS TRUCK ON PACKED SNOW AND ICE WITH THESE TIRES, LEST YOU END UPSIDE DOWN IN THE DITCH FOR YOU WILL HAVE NO TRACTION WITH THEM. My advice to any and EVERYONE...DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BUY ANY VEHICLE FROM BARTON AUTO / JEEP located on HWY 2 North Spokane! SPREAD THE WORD! Since this happened to me, I have spoken wth absolute strangers about this as I am telling EVERYONE I talk to. Interestingly enough, I keep hearing that a LOT of people have heard bad things about this dealership. My advice: If you are planning on purchasing a Chrysler / Dodge Product I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommend driving to Idaho and buying from DAVE SMITH MOTORS. I purchased 3 vehicles from them and should've purchased a 4th. I wanted to give the new guy on the block a chance and I will never make that mistake again! More
